Artisan food & craft beer. We feature our daily chef's menu to compliment our full menu that sources local farms and seasonal ingredients.
In town to ski with my adult daughter and had seen Red Eye in a Sunday feature in the Green Bay paper. We tried a little bit of everything - spicy Thai wings, Wisconsin burger with Nueskes bacon and Carr Valley 6 year cheddar and Locavore pizza. Washed down with a Bloom beer (wheat beer). All were excellent although the wings were a tad over sauced. Great atmosphere and service.

There are a lot of choices here American, Mexican & Italian food is pretty good. I was here on a Monday night when they were not busy with a group on friends, we were practically the only ones there which was nice as we could have cnversation and not feel rushed

They have a huge variety of sundaes & shakes, they also have seasonal choices. Always so good! This location will be open until Christmas and has added a drive thru, some indoor seating & a much needed larger parking lot. Brigs is a local favorite for anything icecream, they do not serve meals just icecream

The Wine Club of Vino Latte is a great way to explore your tastes and find new favorites!
This is a terrific setting with an outstanding product. Dropping in for a mid-morning cup of coffee, we were pleased with the comfortable setting and the great Cup of Joe. Vino Latte offers pastries of all sorts and a drink menu equal to the national brands.

After reading reviews, we stopped by Sconni's on a recent trip through town. What a wonderful decision. Visually interesting, great variety of food, good customer service and excellent food. All 5 people in our party were impressed. Since we pass through the area often, we will definitely be stopping again. Give Sconni's a try even if it's a little off your typical path.

This was the first time I've stopped at a Dunkin Donuts in at least 10 years. They got rid of the product I really liked, Buttermilk Clunkers, so I got 2 Boston Cream Bismarks and 2 cherry Bismarks. $3.76 for 4 small sweet rolls. Just down the street at Pick n Save the sweet rolls are at least twice this size for the same or less money. Rediculous.

The Mint Cafe is a time machine back to local diners from the 1950’s. Small, cozy booths and open seating lunch counters beside an open kitchen and glass-front pie case.
We stopped in for breakfast. Service was friendly and attentive. The food arrived fast. I had a “Denver Scramble”; which was fresh eggs scrambled with ham, onion and green pepper. This was served with your choice of toast (which was served hot and pre-buttered). Tasty and filling for around $10, including coffee.

Opened about Dec 2009. Local paper (Wausau Daily Herald) gave it a four star review. We ate there for lunch on 4/30/2010. Ambitious menu, fresh ingredients, well-prepared dishes with good presentation. Interesting wine selections. And the cleanest bathrooms in memory. This is now our first-choice for upscale food in Wausau.
Every time I go to Basil I wish I would go more often. The menu is eclectic with curry dishes, Asian dishes and many more. The menu never gets old. The prices are reasonable and the owners are always walking around making sure all goes well. This is one of better spots in the Wausau area for a great meal at a good price.

Had the Gouda omelette. Really fresh ingredients in the omelette. Husband had the country fried steak. Both were fine but nothing super special about this place. Went to 2 other breakfast places the previous 2 days that we liked much better.
