This place is always packed, so expect a wait. But with ocean views and delicious food, I'm not surprised. I had the Big Easy Benedict (a New Orleans style eggs benedict with corn bread, avocado, creole onions, peppers, chorizo, and a cajun hollandaise sauce) and a gigantic s'mores hot chocolate. This was a perfect meal to prepare me for ice skating next to the ocean. I will be back!

This is one of my family’s favorite eating spots and so I often join them when visiting in the area.
There is a wide selection on the menu, prices are midrange, average for a diner. The service is especially friendly. The food is consistently good. There is ample parking which is easily accessible from the highway.
A sure place to catch a good meal.

This visit we sat at the bar and had a delicious dinner! We started with the Nacho salad; we loved it! Then Joe got the chicken parm pizza & Barbara and I had burgers, one with cheese one without. Everyone loved their food and we had plenty to take home....and we will be going back!

When we moved to Asbury Park, we looked up best bagels down the shore. The Hot Bagel Bakery came up. It's a nearly 15-minute trip each way, but based on the reviews, we felt it was worth checking out. The reviews were true. We've been coming here for 16 months, and we haven't been tempted to try anywhere else. So many bagels you get elsewhere are like bread or rolls. Not here: They have a crispy outside, a perfectly chewy inside, and tons of flavor. I like their egg salad and tuna salad more than Wegman's. I especially like the fact that they have whole-wheat everything, and whole-wheat egg bagels. We'll keep returning!

My Kitchen Witch is an adorable cafe open generally for breakfast, brunch and lunch. It is lovely and the food is great, but a little far away for us for those meals. However, on Friday night the serve three course, price fix, dinners for $29.95. You can, and should, bring your own wine or beer. There are always two choices ( generally a soup or a salad) to start, three choices (generally meat, fish and vegetarian) to follow, and two choices for dessert. Last night the six of us dined on shaved Brussels sprouts ceasar salad or dairy free asparagus soup to start, bacon wrapped fillet with sun dried mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, or seared scallops over butter and brown sugar sweet potatoes with grilled asparagus, or a vegetarian curry. It all drew rave reviews. IMHO the desserts are the weak point, not bad but not up to the other offerings. To my taste they are too sweet. But if you like real sweets, you will almost certainly love them. Worth a visit.

Delicious baked goods. Their tres leches cake is unbelievably decadent. Try it in either the chocolate or vanilla. Friendly staff. We wanted a special my little pony birthday cake made, with lots of colors, and they gladly accommodated our wishes. The cake was delicious. Shop rite was unable to make the cake for us. Glad we came here. Great people and products.

The cuisine is delicious! Best salmon with wild rice and sautéed mushrooms that I have ever enjoyed! The butternut squash soup was heavenly! My friend's mushroom soup was amazing! And the blueberry crumb cake dessert was "to die for"! The service and the ambience are impeccable we will definitely return very soon!

New restaurant with blue grotto as it theme. Filet was superb as was the shrimp cocktail. The ceiling was ever changing with laser light images being projected on to its surface. Very unusual and enjoyable. Our service was great. Waiter understood we were on a time schedule and made sure we were served promptly yet we did not feel rushed. I had an orange salad that was really good. Chef seems to be excellent. Go there for a really nice meal, great wine selection, great bar and lots of character. You won't be disappointed.

I'm the pickiest person I know and a coffee lover. Tthis place rocks it out of the park!!! I felt like I was drinking a complex red wine. There were so many different flavors that came out with none of the bitterness like Starbitch. I had the Bali—smooth and rich and it was the hottest cup of coffee ever served to me. Frankly, THE BEST! I have a feeling this is one of those tony places that is on its way to becoming a huge success. Love it!
Visiting friends in New Jersey and they highly recommended Rook. We were skeptical but it is fantastic coffee. Went to 3 of their locations and all had great service and were great. Their coffee was wonderful but for a real treat try the New Orleans. It is served over ice but is amazing!
