On my way from Denver to Omaha. Stopped in the town of Wellington and hit up Trip Advisor for a location for a good meal.
Wellington Grill carries the top spot in Trip Advisor ratings, and I found out why!
I walked in and asked for a waitress who would pick back if I picked on her and got a very pleasant lady by the name of Cassie.
Nice smile, full of good advice about the menu.
"What are you known for?" I asked, and she immediately said "The Fish and Chips".
I did look the menu over and ended up taking her advice.
That fish was so moist, so flaky, and came out piping hot!
Cassie commented that they don't use Pollock or Haddock, but rather they use Swai.
Well, all I know is that the taste of that fish was Killer! It was a great suggestion and I am glad I went with it.
The sides were french fries of course, and I got the green beans as well.
Now, mom always said "eat your vegetables". No Problem here. They were very good. Very fresh tasting and cooked well. (see pic).
Two tall Bud-Light drafts and that meal....well, it all hit the spot!
I will now go and relax and finish that run to Omaha when I wake up :-)
As for the restaurant itself; It was clean, the tables freshly wiped, the silverware spotless, the floors swept well, and the longer I sat there, the more filled up with customers Wellington Grill became.
This is a popular spot and worth the stop if you are traveling up I-25.

Nuance Chocolate makes chocolate. Authentic, honest, spirited chocolate. We start by selecting premium cacao beans from ethical sources around the globe, which we gently roast in small batches to develop depth and range. Then we grind them for as many as three consecutive days, creating the ideal balance of flavors, aromas, and textures. Finally, we form the chocolate into a range of delicious treats, ranging from single-origin bars to rich truffles. Stop by today for a sampler flight, a cup of French-style hot chocolate, a box of hand-rolled truffles, and more.
Went here with our resident child, who has stopped in before. The staff greats you warmly, and explained how the store works. We listened for a few minutes and were convinced that we needed to try a 5 tasting flight. The flights were $7 each,...MoreThanks Rich! :)

This is a tiny coffee shop in a small, but growing bedroom community. The interior is dark and there is little reason to linger. You pump your own coffee from a urn and there is a small selection of day old pastries to select from. I stuck to coffee. In the future I'll stop at the gas station .

Ordered 2 6" subs, Italian and a Turkey with 2 drinks and 2 bags of chips for $10. All were great. Would like to give a shout out to the young gentleman behind the counter on a Saturday evening on Jan 7th. Friendly service and professionalism.

Where to start? Love that the crowd is controlled outside...but might not be fun on a winter's night! Entering via the basement door adds to the prohibition ambiance. Only waited a few mins and was quickly seated. Damien, excelled as our wait person. His full...MoreThank you so much!

My title pretty much says it all. I might go again and order a steak but the burgers, dog, tots, fries and pie were all frozen then cooked.
If your family sits anywhere near the bar, their 4-letter-word vocabulary will be significantly enhanced by the well-sauced locals (at 4pm in our case).
Perfectly "meh" but not a total dive by any means

A family owned and operated establishment that has been around for over 25 years, yet has maintained it's authentic, cozy, and homely feel. It's a small, diner-like cafe with an old fashioned style to it. The food is prepared and cooked by the owner, Moe Kamandy. Although hidden, there's a patio away from all the street noise where Moe plants his colorful flowers, making for a great place to relax and enjoy breakfast and a cup of coffee on a summer morning.
On Thursdays the Restaurant has great specials. I had the Rice, Chicken Stew, Creamed Spinach, Salad and Garlic Bread special. It was TERRIFIC! My husband had a traditional Omelet with hash browns and a pancake. The staff was very friendly and checked on us multiple times. The owner also checked in several times to make sure our food and service was excellent. Take a chance to try something off College Avenue and a little walk down Mountain Avenue. It will be well worth your time.
