This has been our favorite stopping place whenever we're headed north or south for at least the past 40 years. Never disappointed, always good company and food. Wife had a nice salad bar and big bowl of soup. I had the 1/2 sandwich and bowl...MoreThanks so much SeasonedTraveler56!! We love hearing when our guests enjoy the experience. We appreciate your continued business.

Average coffee shop. Nothing special. The ambience left a lot to be desired. It seemed kid of grimy and run down. They seemed understaffed and the cases of baked goods were half empty. Didn't feel like waiting for a specialty drink, so I got drip coffee istead. They had an organic option, but it was empty, so I went with the other one. It was ok, but not great.

We had superb 3 shot lattes twice in a week whilst transiting through Weed, California on I5. They were super good and the foam lasted to the very last sip. Black Butte Coffee Co. is a simple espresso drive-thru but they hit a higher level of performance than most full service coffee operations.

Situated in the historic Medo-Bel creamery, Mt. Shasta Brewing Company has been crafting and serving some of the North State's finest ales and lagers for more than a decade. Come join us for some hearty pub grub and a delicious beer today!
My husband and I like to go to local wineries/breweries whenever possible when we are traveling. So I have been looking forward to coming here, and naturally my expectations for this brewery was so high, and so I was pretty disappointed with their BEER. However, the atmosphere was good, the food was good, too.
After all Mt. Shasta is known as a great source for good water, with the glaciers and all, right? That is why Crystal Geyser has their factory here, and of course for good beer, good water is very important! I was thinking I would "start off" with their sampler to figure out what I like, and go from there. However, the only brew that stood out for me is the unique "Jalepeno Weed Ale". The other IPAs etc. were in my opinion only mediocre, unfortunately.
Also, be prepared to wait forever for your food to come! So avoid coming here on a empty stomach! If you are from a more populated town/city and are spoiled like me with prompt but also friendly service, this place is not for you. In fact this city, and the other cities surrounding is not for you. (the only exception is Hi-Lo Cafe, they are prompt) These small towns are not used to serving a crowd, and even boasts about taking their time for "better quality, fresh, made-from-scratch type of food". You will see the "warning signs" everywhere in town, and are very open and honest about it. They even told us that they only serve burgers on certain days, which has to do with something about the staff? I believe, so when we went, no burgers.
With that being said, unlike other comments I see here, I thought our Mt. Shasta flatbread pizza was worth the wait!
However, if you want to try some really good craft beer, and I repeat, OK to WAIT, and ok with a smaller joint, go to nearby Siskiyou Brew Works, located in the town of McCloud, instead.

This restaurant has a neat, clean, modern interior, which has been remodeled recently. The outside is a fairly nondescript box building, but, really, who cares about the outside?
The food is delicious, cooked by indian chefs recently relocated to Weed. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food! All of the naan breads were fantastic. Service was prompt, the waitress was attentive, in all a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back.

Standard Subway shop but the workers here are fast, efficient and friendly. They must know that a lot of people are traveling through town and are in a hurry so they really do work quickly. However, there were plenty of people sitting down and enjoying their meals and not in a rush.

I get a latte here every now and again - good service, good latte. Starbucks just moved in so I am sure their business has been impacted - hopefully they will stay around - give them a try!

Don't judge a book based on its cover. This place is so much more than what it looks from the outside. Fresh, juicy tasty meat right off the grill. My brisket and beef trip tip was so tender and delicious. Great spicy sauce served with some steamed white rice made to perfection. I was completely satisfied with the food and the service. I felt like I was eating at a family member's house. We immediately felt so welcome by the cook and his wife. They were so nice and friendly, we truly loved this place. Also, you gotta get their Thai iced tea!! You won't regret it.
