Stopped by on way home from the eclipse. It's tucked away in a small town on a side street and is well worth the detour. Housed in a vintage home, the freshly cooked food is displayed as soon as you enter. Choose your meal cafeteria style, pay and go find a spot to eat in the quaintly and thoughtfully decorated dining area. We chose ribs, baked and fried chicken with cornbread stuffing and cranberries, greens, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese and green beans. And surprise, there was a big, freshly grilled corn pancake with each meal. For dessert there were a variety of homemade cakes and pies. We loved it

This place has unbelievable desserts! I've had sweats all over the world, and this place is my favorite now that my hometown donut shop that I grew up with has closed. And it's so much more than a donut shop. If you haven't been inside, you really should.

I generally stop when passing through on the way to Savannah. Bathrooms are clean, staff friendly and ice cream is always up to DQ quality. When driving and desiring a dip top cone, ask for a cup, wait 30 seconds for the chocolate to harden, turn the ice cream cone upside down in the cup, remove the paper, and eat from the bottom down, then use a spoon for the ice cream and chocolate.

This is a great little seafood/ fish place. I like slaw, and their's is pretty dang good...They've put in tables now so you can sit down and eat it while it's hot...Just need a good heater for those nippy nights...I really like this place...:D

The owner is friendly and his seafood is served basically fried, I have enjoyed every meal I have eaten there and their portions are substantial. He is a religious man but this does not effect his service or his food.

Food was good and fresh, I highly recommend it. The portions were plenty and the price was reasonable. The staff didn't seem friendly however they were efficient.

Arrived about 2pm for lunch. The lunch crowd was finishing up. Shown to a table, even menus, drinks were ordered, brought with chips to the table. Our waitress disappeared for well over 15 minutes. In no hurry, we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally I asked one of the many waiters/waitresses if we could order. That person went and retrieved our waitress. "Ready?" was her only statement. We ordered. She turned, and walked away. Some time later, determined by us to be far too long for the average Mexican restaurant, our order arrived. One had to be returned to cook the meat longer. We ate, and we rated the food average to good. We finished, we waited, we waited, we waited. Again we had to ask someone to get our waitress. I asked for our check. "Here." was about it. I asked about the 5 deep line at the register. "Our card machine is not working properly." I left cash and we departed.

Had chicken salad sandwich based on reco of nice shop-owner lady next door as I went in. Good choice. Picked potato salad as side & good tea. Philly cheese steak & burger were runners up in deliberations. It's right by the courthouse, so no less than 10 officers & deputies were in having lunch, so felt safe for sure. Parking on the street was surprisingly available & free.

Very nice atmosphere, very nice people and great food. I had pan seared grouper , both it and the salad that came with were excellent. Reasonable prices as well.

Papa's Pizza has a great selection of not only pizza but other items such as quesadillas and calzones. I had a chicken quesadilla and it was good. The vegetables were fresh. They also have $3.99 pizzas from time to time which is nice when you want an inexpensive meal.
