Very good Italian in a small town.
The pizza was delicious. Nice crisp crust.
The lobster ravioli was luscious with lobster sauce to dunk the bread in.
Nice salad bar with plenty of choices. Soup was included too but we did not sample them.
No room for dessert, so we will have to save that for another visit.

Our first visit as we were passing through this town. Breakfast stops at 11 but what we saw looked really good. We had open face Turkey and beef sandwiches which were average. Its a popular place for the locals! Friendly staff!

Don't be fooled by "dive" exterior. One of the best meals we have had while traveling in Florida. Great home cooking. Had the meatloaf special. Best I've ever had! A must stop if in the area. Great service too, at a great price.

We were driving through Wachula at lunch time and decided to stop at Nicholas. The food and service were both very good. A very large menu at reasonable prices. The restaurant is a good family place and very friendly.

We stooped here for a “quick lunch” between Orlando and Fort Myers. The food was slow to come to the table and we were close to paying for our drinks and leaving. The food came out about 35 minutes after the order was placed and was delicious. The wings were cooked perfect and the two sauces we picked were both great (garlic parm and Kentucky bourbon). We also tried the chicken chimichanga and it was filled with chicken and no complaints. I would return just for the wings but be prepared to wait. ds

Arrived early at 11:30 AM, before the lunch crowd and there where only a few tables occupied. Service was brisk but polite. Unfortunately, my loaded potato soup arrived still chilled and the shredded cheese on top was still solid. They corrected the problem and the soup was good, but, I must comment, it was not worth $3 for, literally, a teacup/proper coffee cup serving. Then, my patty-melt arrived. The onions were a mixture of caramelized and undercooked. The hamburger patty was over-cooked and dry. I asked for mayonnaise to make it, at least, edible. I heard a nearby table being offered a "to go" cup for their drinks by their server. I never refilled my iced tea, and with a full glass in the table, I was not offered that option by my server. With tip, my lunch was about $17. I could have done better across the street at McDonald's.

You'll almost miss it if you run too fast up 17. Slow down. Try this very local place. Lots of locals here on a Sunday after church. Be adventurous and order something that tastes family made. Lots of picnic tables. Very leisurely and friendly. We loved it.

Whenever we're in the area, we stop by for Friday night dinner at the Java Cafe. This is the only night they serve dinner. We have enjoyed delicious prime rib, lobster bisque, mushroom brie soup, salmon, and snapper, along with a great wine selection. Breakfast offers lots of pastries and delicious coffee drinks. My favorite is cafe mocha. Desserts are home made and worth saving room for. The staff is gracious, helpful, and as friendly with out of town visitors as with locals. The fact that locals crowd the Java Cafe on Friday night is a great testimonial.
