Enjoy delicious Housemade food, unique wines and craft beer in a 1930s home. Paired with excellent service and a lively environment, you will have a dining experience unlike any other in Alaska!
Fish tacos were very good. Fresh ingredients , and the most tasty nachos I've ever had. Restaurant is in old home from wasilla early days, floor creeks and is decorated in the time period. It was a very lovely lunch, we did make reservation and a good thing because it filled up fast. Seating is very limited.
Menu is online and very reasonable. When driving thru Wasilla make sure to stop for a meal. Right off the highway a block or so.

The food here is great, and prices are reasonable for Alaska (translation: higher than you're used to). Bread is very fresh, as are the proteins. Veggies are hit and miss, but (again) that's normal in Alaska. Overall, great place to stop for lunch if you're driving from Anchorage to Denali or Fairbanks.

A restaurant is a place you go to treat yourself, to be taken care of, to be excited about food. At Evangelo's Restaurant, we have always worked to bring a sense of home in our kitchen, food, and dining experience. Evangelo's is a taste of our Mediterranean home. We hope you enjoy.
Unfortunately, despite its local appeal, I cannot give this restaurant more than a passing grade due to the striking lack of seasoning and flavor in its Italian fare. To be fair, we were at a group event and perhaps what we received in the buffet line may not be reflective of their best work. The service was friendly and we felt welcomed. What didn’t receive the same respect was the food.

We were returning to Anchorage after visiting Denali National Park, and stopped for lunch at Chepo's, located on the east side of the Parks Highway in Wasilla. We arrived around 1:00p on a weekday and there were plenty of booths available. Service was excellent and our tacos and Chile rellenos were delicious.

Stopped in here while looking for a quick bite, and it turned out to be a great little find. They offer a wide variety of interesting beats and dogs made of many of the interesting creatures in AK. Got to say it was all delicious and I like to support locally sourced food whenever I can (the meat comes from a local farm). I highly recommend the Zuppa!

Full service restaurant and lounge with banquet facilities.
Have eaten here many times, since it’s the closest restaurant to my house. But it’s always a different experience. Some food is good, some terrible. Servers are sometimes great, other times not. Recently tried several appetizers; the Jalapeño Chicken was super, the batter fried asparagus was as bland as could be. You never what you’re gonna get at this place. It’s too expensive to gamble on anymore, so I don’t know if I’ll go back (unless someone else is buying). Nice view.

Like other reviewers have said, don't be fooled by their location next to the gas station. This place has a talented person in the kitchen. I had shrimp and grits! In Alaska! That was very good!
Good service and good food! Isn't that what we want?

Our experience at Trout House is always excellent, timely courteous service. Food is always good and hot. And the lounge is perfect for a Bloody Mary or a little Bailey's for morning coffee. My kids love the selection of burgers available. I really like they're omlets.

We stopped for lunch today. The place was packed, so service was slow. The burger seemed to be right off the Sysco truck, the soup from a can. I will say the fries were good. Prices what you would expect in Alaska.

We ordered sandwiches from here a month or two ago while playing cards with friends. They were, as reported then, scrumptious, delicious, exceptional, outstanding and HUGE! I said we'd be back. I hoped it would be as good. Again, this was a take-out/delivery.
They did it again. It was just my wife and me this time but the delivery was prompt, the sandwiches were hot, the salads were cold and the meal was over-the-top again.
I've always been known as a big eater and never shied from the table; I always clean my plate. But I couldn't...again. The sandwich (see the picture) comes in its own crate. A five-inch by ten-inch bun LOADED with goodies (the holder was over 6" x 12") - and that's without including the salad. The bread was fresh and topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. There was plenty of meat, plenty of other fixin's, plenty of cheese and I had pineapple on mine. The flavor was exceptional - again.
The salads were simple with Romaine, a tomato slice, a couple of slices of cheese, and a few black olives. The dressing (on the side) was Bleu Cheese and okay.
The leftovers will make lunch for tomorrow.
And the prices were quite reasonable - especially for the quality and quantity.
We'll be back. One of these days we'll have to try eating at the restaurant instead of at home. But with the experience we've had so far it doesn't matter where great food is served - it'll taste great, look great and be well worth it.
