Stop by and see us at the Common Ground Cafe on the Osage! We feature amazing signature sandwiches, delicious salads, original tea and coffee blends, and most of all, a hospitable and friendly staff. The rustic barnwood decor alone makes this one of the most unique places to visit between Kansas City and Springfield. So, whether you're coming from out of town or you're right around the corner it is well worth the visit. We look forward to seeing you! Additional note: We are not selling and are here to stay!
Absolutely love this little place. We drove considerably out of our way to eat here and were not disappointed. Limited but eclectic menu marked by freshness and taste. Wide selection of teas and mate'. Great atmosphere, good view, excellent service. I will return anytime I'm within striking distance.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon about 4pm with 15 family members after a funeral. The Management made space for our non reservation group, very quickly. The usual Mexican menu selection with great chips and salsa. The Margaritas were by the pitcher or singles and were good. The food and service was good. I had the 1/2 order of chicken nachos which was more than enough. All in the group were pleased. We will return.

Full service specialty coffee and drink shop. We serve full menu breakfast and lunch. We don't do fried foods but you will leave feeling full and satisfied. We serve a different kind of menu then you've seen in Warsaw. Homemade biscuits and gravy, omelets made to order, stuffed crepes and Eggs benedict to name a few breakfast items. Lunch consists of fresh made salads, wraps, panini's and a burger that is on a pretzel bun and said to be "the best in town" by customers. Non-smoking establishment where we strive to serve quality food with outstanding service.
We stopped in Warsaw, and asked some retail shops where they would recommend having lunch. Cosmic Coffee and Eatery is relatively new, very clean and well managed. Yes, there's a coffee and dessert area including home made ice cream but there is also a lunch menu. Very good sandwiches and a soup of the day every day. We had excellent luncheon salads (the Aphrodite, the Harvest Moon). Very attentive table service! Definitely a great choice in a small town.

Amazing home cooked meals from scratch. Huge 1/2lb hand formed burgers, hand cut fries, mouthwatering steaks, stellar service and handcrafted original cocktails. Come try one of R-Famous 22oz Bacon Bloody Mary's or a juicy 12oz Ribeye that we have become famous for. Live music every Saturday night starting at 8:30pm.
BEST restaurant in town, no question!!!! Love the friendliness shown by the entire staff. Clean, neat, and nice looking place. I had the cajun chicken fettuccine alfredo. My husband had a salad, the giant shrimp and we both had baked potatoes. The salad was great....MoreThank you for the AMAZING review! Look forward to seeing you both back soon! :-)

One of those cafes like your grandparents used to go to! Homemade goodness. We had catfish and chicken fried steak. Mashed potatoes and gravy were also great, as well as the french fries.
Remember those hot beef sandwiches that come with mashed potatoes and gravy? Well, they also have hot ham, hot tenderloin and hot hamburger! How "down home" is that?!
Also regular sandwiches on the menu that I need to go back and try. Pie too, we ate too much to have room for dessert.
So, catfish is great, but rest of the menu is too! Prices are very reasonable.

As expatriate Chicagoans, (Souside, tanks: Comiskey, Home Run Inn), we can attest to the greatness of this pizza. When we moved from Chi-Town we quickly learned that if we wanted real pizza we'd have to make it ourselves. That goes for the ingredients as well; who doesn't put fennel seed in sausage? It's just ground pork, then. Anyways, this is the real thing. We walked in and could smell the dough, just like Pershing avenue. Gotta wait though, good things take time. Have a beer, they got a good selection. Then the pizza came. Hooo, baby I felt at home. The sauce complimented the dough which complimented the cheeses which complimented the sausage and other topping(s). Man, good pizza is a truly Zen experience. Great prices, too. And a test of greatness: this stuff warmed up great days after. I want to move to Warsaw just for this pizza. Thanks to the owners and great waitstaff for an awesome pizza experience.

Located downtown Warsaw. Nothing fancy--good breakfasts (great chicken fried steak--great biscuits N. Gravy) and standard restaurant fare. Great home made pies--and they are fast on the coffee fill-ups (don't usually see much of THAT any more!)
The staff seemed genuinely glad to see us--especially after we returned a couple of more times.
Don't go to the chain restaurants--go to the local places, where the people are friendly, and the chef really "knows how to drive a stove!"

We have been going to this place for many years 20+. I travel around quite a bit and can tell you that this is the real McCoy. No offense to the Hatfields. Haha. Service has always been great. It's NOT one of these chain establishments they take their time (cooking done right) to make sure that their food is great. They haven't disappointed us yet. My sister drives from Houston and the first place she wants. HILLTOP BBQ.

We were really anxious to try Taco Villa, because of the rave reviews on trip advisor. Tacos and burritos were really bland. We really couldn't understand the hype. We have tried several restaurants in Warsaw and loved all of them. We won't be back to Taco Villa.

Many of us lake locals rate diners or cafes by the quality of their Pork Tenderloins or Biscuits and Gravy. Ferg's tenderloin was not bad it just isn't up there with the top three in this area; Mary's Catfish and More, Dars and Rusty Skillet. The crinkle cut fries were good and the service was excellent.
