Blue is a chef-owned and operated seafood restaurant in Virginia Beach that offers high quality and fresh seafood in a casual setting. This 60-seat restaurant's specialties include crab cakes, tempura fried shrimp, and creative seafood fares based on its “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” food philosophy. Chef and owner Charles Thain is an ardent supporter of farm-to-table practices and sources fresh local produce, seafood, hormone-free meats, and more from local purveyors. It is one of the priorities for the restaurant to offer brews from local breweries to showcase everything the area has to offer. Blue accommodates special dietary needs and food allergies in its menus to suit everyone’s palate. The menu features a full bar menu along with a wide range of dishes that include gluten-free and vegetarian options.
This is a MUST if you are in the area and want some fresh seafood. The Oysters were absolute perfection! Every dish was delish.
The service was wonderful from the hosts, to the bartender, to the chef (who brought taste plates around for guests).
I can't wait to visit again!

Overall not very impressed with Mojito Cafe. The mojitos were weak and both entrees were undercooked. Asked for steak medium well and it was more like medium rare. The black beans tasted like they were from a can. After reading great reviews I had higher expectations. The food was decent and edible but just mediocre.

We have plenty of parking! Carnegie Deli Cheesecake! Melt in your mouth Pastrami! Home of the award-winning Super Reuben!!
Busy as hell, loud, old fashioned, New York/New Jersey ish, kinda pricey, and without question the best in southeast Virginia. Think about splitting something unless you are a really big eater.

Food was excellent, generous portions, she crab soup simply outstanding. Service was very good, our waitress was really hustling, very busy, but she never left us unattended. Agree with others who have posted, reservations on Friday and Saturday a must.

The food was delicious. Friendly staff. The parking situation can be very trying. I made a mistake trying to have a business meeting. It is very loud so a good discussion wasn't in the cards. Next time I will only plan to eat.

This restaurant has a nice contemporary feel to it. Fresh oysters, a rockfish catch of the day, these are the kinds of items you'll find here. You can eat a la carte, or do a prix fixe arrangement of four dishes. Interestingly, they do not...MoreHello, We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and experience. This is an unassuming place on the outside. Looks like any other bar and grill. Inside, however, is some great food and service.I'm not one much for seafood, but there were lots of other options for turf lovers as well. Also vegan and gluten-free options...MoreTim, Thanks for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your patronage and hope to see you again soon. Cheers

Repeal is a small restaurant that has a couple tables and a small bar area. During the summer evenings it can be difficult to get a place to sit and eat because of how small the place is. The burgers here are delicious. They are creative and definitely what we would consider a gourmet burger joint. The draw to this place is their extensive bourbon selection. The bartenders know their bourbon as well. They have a choose your own old fashion as well. We enjoy coming here to eat and drink. Its a great place to finish off a nice day at the beach. Only issue here is parking. Like most of the oceanfront, parking during the summer months is awful. They really should just extend or build lightrail here and enter the 21st century.

Went to The Bee & The Biscuit for the first time on Christmas Eve and it was amazing! From the atmosphere to the food and service it cannot be beat. It was a chilly day and we were told there would be a 20/30 minute...MoreWhat a stunning review!! We love that it was such a great time for you, with great food and great service. Not a BBQ connoisseur by any stretch. I can recognize, however, what perfectly seasoned, moist, and smoked pork should taste like! What you get here is the real deal. No shortcuts, just quality coupled with great customer service. Associates genuinely appear to enjoy being here and aim to insure the customer experience is first rate. The pulled pork sandwich ( pulled, not shredded) with coleslaw topping is one of the best I have had. Wife’s brisket was also deemed a “home run”.
