I don't know about anything "ancient" here. The pasta is hand-crafte dso it's certainly not ancient. And the people are a nice mix of young, old and families. All nationalities. A cute little birthday girl with a sparkler. Buzzing but not noisy.
In the first floor of Oak Brook Center office building. Convenient to garage. Staff is knowledgeable, quick and welcoming. For us, quick seating. Near window. Lots of action.
I had the scallops in angel hair. Very good. Our family members all had three plates of shrimp linguini. They offer brick oven pizzas. Margueritas pizzas are specialities. Pistachio gellato is delicious.

Cozy, warm, clubby decor makes The Capital Grille a comforting venue for patrons looking for a generous sized meal in an upscale atmosphere. Valet parking is offered, and self-parkers will find ample spots since the restaurant is adjacent to a shopping mall.
The Capital Grille's wine list is extensive and its menu is varied. In particular, their steaks are phenomenal, with many types from which to choose, from a manageable-sized filet mignon to much larger cuts. Lobster is prepared nicely without overcooking; the soups are delicious, ranging from bisques to a delicious crock of traditional onion topped with grill-melted cheese.
My husband and I split the Buratta salad with poached pears, pesto sauce and arugula: delightful.
For a special occasion such as an anniversary, not only will the diners be greeted with a handwritten card at a rose petal-strewn table, but your photo will be taken and a mouthwatering free dessert will arrive on a platter hand lettered in chocolate with good wishes! Our molten chocolate cake with ice cream and blueberries was out of this world.
We have sat in various spots in this restaurant, from a round near the open kitchen to a large corner booth to a small table in a cozy room with only two other parties nearby. Each offers its own experience, but our preference is always for more privacy.
Service is attentive but not exceptional, and unfortunately, occasionally irritating. For the high price point of this restaurant, this reviewer would not expect to be addressed as "you two", asked if one were "still nibbling", or be prompted in an evaluative direction by being asked if our food was tasting fantastic. Every restaurant has room for improvement, however, and the food more than makes up for the service shortfalls at The Capital Grille.

The sandwiches are asian-inspired and very good with fresh and unique ingredients. There are choices such as Vietnamese Ban Mi and Thai Chicken Satay. Sandwiches comes with chips and are a good size that are sure to satisfy. Overall a very good lunch option!

This restaurant is located in a busy strip mall. We were meeting friends so we sat a high top in the bar (it was quieter.) We split a calamari, tune poke, spicy tuna roll and half a dozen oysters to start. One couple split the walleye and the other the mixed seafood grill. Service was spotty. We were not offered their signature biscuits until after we completed all of our appetizers. (boo!) We washed it all down with a couple of bottles of Miner Viognier. We have had better experiences. Total bill for 4 including tip and wine was $245.

The only down-side to the VP DQ is the small lot they're on. There's plenty of parking in the lots around it, but only a few tables in back to hang and enjoy.

Home to America's favorite Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, salads, and chocolate cake.
We stopped at Portillo's Hot Dogs after spending some time at an orchid greenhouse in the area. This Portillo's is an outlying stand-alone building in a large strip mall, in the same strip mall as Safari Land. We ordered a dipped beef-n-cheddar croissant and a combo beef & char-grilled Italian sausage sandwich. The only thing that I wish is that they would just dip the beef-n-cheddar croissant instead of arguing with me about it. I know what happens when it is dipped, and I like that. I have no objection to washing my hands after I eat one. There is plenty of parking. The drive-thru doesn't seem as busy as some Portillo's, but maybe we were there at a slower time. The floor staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable.

Had dinner here and everything was pleasant. Had Chicken Parmesan, one of our favorites and love the generous amount. It was good and look forward to the leftovers to take home. This restaurant is a typical family style place and we always appreciate those because you can usually count on them for decent service and a very good value. Simon's filled the bill on those counts and we appreciate that. Always like that they are ready for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, just like home!

We had met some other people here for lunch. My wife had a combination plate and I ordered the Gyro sandwich. The wife munch enjoyed her plate although the Gyro for me fell short big time. The meat was dry and seemed to be overcooked. The pita did not seem fresh. On top of that they charge $15.00 for it! I have had much better Gyro sandwiches at other places for half that cost. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the sandwich and certainly not the price. I wish I would have ordered something else off the menu and think I would have most likely had a much better experience.
The server although got us what we needed did not seem very personable.

My family and I celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday here today. The food choices were great and our meal was delicious as always, as was the service. Also, for my wife and I who are tracking our macro-nutrients, the healthy choices and breakdown of nutritional content of all their dishes is a fantastic bonus to dining here.
1. Food: the menu was Spring focused, and as advised by our server Jorge, many dishes featured lemon and/or asparagus. There were four of us and my daughter, and we all agreed our dishes were great - portion sizes were reasonable, ingredients tasted fresh, food wasn't overly seasoned and everything simply tasted very good. One thing that Seasons 52 does that I really commend is they take the time to list out the nutritional content of ALL their dishes, including sides, cocktails and deserts. For those who track calories, and especially those on strict diets who track their macros, this is a god send and something I rarely see in the industry. Seasons 52 takes nutritious eating to another level with this sort of extra effort.
2. Service: As always, all staff were warm and quite attentive. Jorge was our server, and was prompt with our drink orders and ultimately the food as well. When it comes to service, it really is the little things that make a difference - offering hot water for tea orders, keeping folks posted on when to expect food orders to come out, and taking good family photos at the end of the meal. Jorge was spot on. When we had a little mix-up with the bill (which was totally our mistake, and not the restaurant's), Jorge went the extra step to ask his manager Brian for a resolution which was promptly offered and taken care of. This was unexpected, but highly appreciated.
3. Environment: The restaurant had subtle Easter decorations, which was a nice touch even for those who do not observe the holiday. Otherwise, floors, tables, seating, flatware and dishes were all very clean which I appreciate. Nothing detracts from a dining experience like food debris on the floor, grease stains on the seats and water spots on flatware.
4. Overall: Good food makes for a memorable dining experience, but excellent service is what will keep you coming back again and again. The staff at Seasons 52 sets the bar high but every time they continue to meet their own excellent standards. Many thanks to Brian, Jorge and the rest of the staff for providing a great dining experience for my daughter's 2nd birthday.
