Sitting high atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi and Yazoo Rivers, the city of Vicksburg was the setting of a bloody 47 day siege during the Civil War. The site of this epic battle is now Vicksburg National Military Park, preserving original fortifications and the U.S.S. Cairo, an ironclad gunboat that once prowled the waters of the Mississippi River. Vicksburg is also the place where Coca-Cola was first bottled, a fact that is happily immortalized at the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum.

"Euro Influenced, Southern Made"Named after his Great Great Grandmother Roca Solier, who was born in the 1800's. Parmegiani wanted to represent both his European heritage and his Southern roots. He blends old world cooking techniques he learned from his father, Jacques Parmegiani, with ingredients indigenous to the South.ROCA Restaurant & Bar reflects both ends of Jay's culinary experience, from his grandmother's amazing Southern soul food to his father's classically French-Italian fair.ROCA has become a local favorite recognized in several local and national publications, as well as being voted Vicksburg's Best Restaurant, Best Locally Owned Business, Friendliest Service, Best Business Lunch, and Best Fine Dining by the Vicksburg Readers' Choice Awards.
There maybe nothing special about the décor, but this restaurant is all about the food that is served in a family friendly atmosphere that reminded us of Europe.
I would return from Australia just to have another pork chop with whiskey cherry sauce. Man oh man, huge, thick, juicy and flavoursome to boot ... I'm salavating on my keyboard just thinking about it.
We had a great night with great people and great food. It closes at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights but just up the road (still on Washington St) is the affiliated 10 South Rooftop Bar and Grill where you can kick on to live music and night vistas over the town.

We read the reviews and stopped in for a late lunch. While friendly the server informed us that a lot of items on the menu were no longer served. We over heard the couple in kitchen area say once the papers are signed over, they have to redo the menu board. Food was tasty but I was expecting so much more from this quaint little stop. The kids had a scone and muffin and both were served warm. They we’re devoured with only crumbs left. My husband and I had sandwiches which were fresh and delicious. Would give this place another try when back in town.

10South will be a relaxed & casual restaurant and bar located on the rooftop of the First National Building in Downtown Vicksburg. Guest will have the option to sit indoors or outdoors on the terrace overlooking the Mississippi River. Opening Spring 2014!
My husband and I drove 45 minutes to eat here as it has been consistently highly recommended. We ordered the chili cheese fries for an appetizer. They were good but nothing exceptional. Kind of like the ones I make at home. My husband had the Farmhouse Burger which was cooked perfectly and he loved it. I had the ribeye which was HUGE. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides served were excellent also. The wait was an hour and an a half so we opted to sit at the bar to eat. I typically hate eating at a bar but there was adequate seating between patrons and plenty of space to enjoy the meal. The evening was cooler in temperature so the top of the restaurant was enclosed with very efficient heating. View was gorgeous. Our servers/bartenders were excellent and attentive. We will certainly be back very soon.

One visit to our store and you'll discover why Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is the number one destination of chocolate lovers everywhere. Throughout our store you will discover a fantastic variety of yummy chocolates and confections to satisfy cravings of even the most ardent chocoholic! Watch as we dip crisp apples in thick, bubbling caramel from a traditional copper kettle. Smile as we roll them in a rainbow of tasty toppings to complete your old fashioned treat. Linger awhile longer and learn how fudge is made as we fashion a creamy loaf on a traditional marble slab, the old fashioned way, right before your eyes. And of course, everyone gets a free sample! But don't leave without sharing your experience with a gift of fine chocolate, elegantly crafted and beautifully packaged in boxes, tins and baskets. We invite you to explore our site for product information, special offers or news and events. And when you're ready, give us a call or stop in. We'll keep the kettle cooking for you!
We stopped by after dinner, and the young lady working tonight was friendly and efficient. Their chocolates are a really wide variety, different than the average chocolate candy store. (I can't figure their name out, though...Rocky Mountain?) Anyway I got chocolate covered orange peels (phenomenal) and my friend got chocolate covered bacon which he loved. They have some usual offerings, but also have unusual chocolates and candies so just to see their selection is a must do. The prices were reasonable and it was the perfect after-dinner stop. They also offer ice-cream but I didn't check it out. Our worker said they make a number of the chocolates in-house, but some are brought in. If you like peanut butter cups, they not only have a variety of them, their cups are huge! Either a feast or a two-person dessert. I would stop by here again and recommend this store.

Reservations are encouraged, but are not necessary.
Anchuca is listed three times, one as a place to visit, another as a B&B, and the third as a restaurant. Keep this in mind when reading reviews because there is a lot of overlap. Went to the restaurant with a group but stayed elsewhere. Found the food to be very good and nice atmosphere. Unclear of cost because part of our tour.

If you’re not looking you will pass right by this place thinking it’s some kind of building left over from the 50’s. It’s a combination fruit stand, café, sandwich shop, antique whatever. However, do stop for one of the best BLTs around. Service is great, and you may find yourself asking just how in the world did you end up here, but you’re glad you did!

The sandwiches are ample and reasonably priced; the dinner entrees are pricier. We had lunch and ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich with onion rings; and the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. They were tasty. There were homemade cream pies that looked awesome but we didn’t dare. The place was crowded with both locals and tourists from a visiting riverboat.

We just had a wonderful Southern dining experience at the Walnut Hills Restaurant. These folks have operated this establishment for many years and done a great job with it. They are wonderful hosts. Kenny took great care of us. We had fried chicken dinners and you would be hard pressed to find any better than this. It was cooked perfectly. It is a class act and we heartily recommend it.

Serving steaks and seafood since 1956. Family friendly dining room. Also houses a full bar which features various sporting events on several HD televisions including a 10' by 10' HD projection screen. Enjoy weekly specials and live entertainment on the weekends. Lounge opens at 4 PM daily and stays open late on Friday and Saturday nights. Like us on facebook at Beechwood Restaurant and Lounge.
Looks can be deceiving and this is certainly the case with Beechwood. The outside looks like a truck stop which isn’t a bad thing; but it wouldn’t make you think you were going to have the meal that awaits you. The inside is very dated; but it is just part of the overall ambience.
They have a nice selection of options on the menu including several different cuts of steaks. Our group had either the 16 oz ribeye, or a filet (Small is 6 oz and large is 12 oz). They were all cooked perfectly to order. They have a full bar (actually a separate lounge area in the back with a large flat screen TV), and the beer and wine selection is pretty good.
The service was very friendly and prompt.
No complaints from this first time customer.
