My daughter and I drove down from Burlington. Excellent appetizers- scallop cakes, pumpkin chevre and entrees of salmon and brie/bacon chicken. Excellent, super flavors, best meal I've had in this area. I would offer olive oil for dipping bread and the flourless chocolate cake was not as chocolatey as I had hoped but the caramel sauce was excellent It's small, but cozy reminiscent of a Parisian café. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and wine (Cote du Rhone very good). Get a reservation.

Vergennes Laundry By CK is a restaurant and bakery that focuses on seasonal, locally sourced products. Serving brunch, tapas, and wine dinners, Chef Christian showcases his years of experience through his modern New England influenced menu in a beautifully, creative fashion.
This place used to be among my favorite coffee and pastry places in all of Vermont. But, over the last several months, when I pass it, it is closed. This has been true regardless of day or time I pass. The local rumor mill has the current owners looking to sell the whole kit 'n kaboodle. Not sure what to make of all these goings on. Best to call ahead to be sure if they are open.

We've been stopping at this snack bar for over 20 years. Its always busy. The main draw was the creemees. Great creemees, but their size and value is what sets them apart. Their "small" is about 3 inches tall for the same price (or less) you'd pay for a small size anywhere else.
We've also had lunch and supper here, as well. And the food is very good, considering its a snack stand. Good quality, but its largely fried fare.
We love coming here.

Just wow. What a great catering company! Andrea & Matt were so wonderful to work with, the food was amazing & you cannot beat the price. From day 1, they were so great to work with, extremely organized, we got to have a delicious tasting & anything I was worried about, they took care of. A small artisan chocolates shop in downtown Vergennes. We are located in the basement of a historic brick building just off the main street. We specialize in dark chocolate but have something for everyone. We make as much as we can ourselves, caramel, toffee, marshmallow, using local ingredients whenever possible. Everything is hand cut and hand dipped in high quality chocolate.
I was on my way back to the airport when my sister suggested we stop at this seriously lovely little shop. I bought a few gifts for a friend (gluten free!) and some Maple Roasted Cacao Nibs for me. Holy moly guacamole but I am officially hooked! Can't wait to head back! She also has some items from local artists that are worth checking out. I love when small business owners support each other. Stop in: you won't be disappointed.

An unexpected, welcoming restaurant and cocktail lounge. Check out our updated Autumn menu, our indoor and (seasonally, of course!) outdoor seating, music, live concerts and events, local art, darts, foosball and and… Of course, all the good stuff you know Antidote for - great drinks, good company and welcoming atmosphere.
We went her for a Saturday evening dinner and to listen to the live music. Both the food, simple but excellent American, and the music were great.

This is a local bar / pub that serves great burgers. The best part is if you go on Wednesday's the burgers are 1/2 price. I ended up ordering "The Squeeze Burger" - which comes with pickled onions, roasted red onion peppers, dressed greens, bacon, Grafton cheddar and a fried egg. This place also has a fully stocked bar. Great place for a burger.

Open May - October, the distinctive decor featuring rough-hewn beams, antique farm equipment, and walls covered in Basin Harbor nostalgia makes The Red Mill Restaurant a resort favorite. The renovated sawmill features the best fresh and local food ingredients, along with signature Vermont brews, including our own Red Chair Ale. It is a casual dining experience you will appreciate. The outdoor playground and horseshoes offer playtime for all ages.
One of the cool things about this restaurant is if you are not staying at the resort, you can still dine there and arrive by plane on the grass strip, or by boat. Basin Harbor has added some really nice new docks though as the summer goes on, I am not sure our 35' boat will fit in as close to shore as they parked us on this visit.
We made reservations for 6:30 for a party of 8. We arrived at 6:00 and the hostess told us they would seat us at 6:30 (she was a little snotty about it). While waiting we stepped up and had a drink at the bar. They have a nice selection on tap. I enjoyed the Red Chair Ale and my son was pleased to find that they had Switchback's Connector IPA which he says is not always available in restaurants. While enjoying our drinks we watched as our table for 8 sat empty in the rather quiet restaurant. Promptly at 6:30 the hostess came and sat us.
My son had buffalo wings and a Caesar salad and he raved about both. I had the lobster roll and it was very over dressed and too spiced. I won't order it again should I go again this season. My mom had the BLT which she said was good. I don't remember what the rest of our party had.
By the time we left, the restaurant was very busy, Seemed like it would have helped them if we had been seated earlier but maybe it was a staffing issue.
Kudos to our waitress who was pregnant and due the following week. She was friendly and efficient and wasn't slowed down at all.

This restaurant has its mailing address in Vergennes but is located at the junction of Routes 125 and 17 in Bridport near the Crown Point Bridge.
My wife and I stopped at the Bridge Restaurant on a recent trip to Lake Champlain because of the good reviews I had read. It was lunch time so we got the garlic stuffed mushroom appetizer and we each had a tuna salad sandwich and a bowl of beef vegetable soup. The stuffed mushrooms were bland tasting with no detectable garlic at all. Also bland was the soup. It seemed like it was made with bullion cubes and canned veggies. The tuna sandwiches weren't any better. They were really dry and not easy to swallow without drinking something with them. They were just tuna salad between bread. No lettuce, tomato or mayo, We weren't expecting a 4-star meal but for the prices they charged, it should have been better than it was. Our bill for an appetizer, 2 soup and sandwich plates and two iced teas came to a bit over $28 which, for what we had, seemed a bit too high.

I stopped there with some work friends for lunch and can honestly say the food lunch menu was outstanding. Let's not forget they are a brewery so, I would highly recommend ordering a IPA or two. For my lunch I ordered the "Steak & Cheese" which contained a trio of cheeses/ shaved steak/ peppers/ onions/ mushrooms/ horseradish IPA mustard sauce. The dish also comes with a salad it was outstanding. The service was great and the overall atmosphere as good. Would highly recommend.
