The service we had earlier this week was really neglectful. Nobody addressed us when we entered and had to ask to be seated. I almost felt like leaving right there. Some of the side dishes, including the veggies, also tasted like they were out of the can or frozen too long. We probably won't be going back.

Found this little treasure online. A bulk food store that sells fresh sandwiches! The meats and cheeses were sliced right there as you order, and the bread and other ingredients were also very flavorful and fresh. It made for a delightful stop for a little lunch.
This deli in the midst of a bulk food store, so there are plenty of other goodies to pick up for your lunch as well. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Driving through Valentine, we stopped here hoping to find breakfast after noon. No luck. Bunkhouse doesn't serve breakfast at all. There was nothing but fast food breakfast in town, and we don't eat that.
Bunkhouse's menu was mostly pub food, but being smack in the middle of nowhere, we didn't anticipate another opportunity to eat for awhile, so we stayed.
You seat yourself. A server arrived right away, whom we really liked. Great personality, very helpful, efficient. We ordered coffee @ $1.50 and found out they don't have real Half & Half. They serve fake creamer, so we asked for milk instead. The coffee was barely drinkable.
Hubby ordered a tomato and lettuce sandwich on marbled rye bread, with a side of fries @ $7.75. The sandwich arrived with three skinny slices of tomato. Our server brought an additional plate piled with tomato slices.
I ordered the taco salad in an edible bowl @ $8.25. The beef was too salty, and the bowl was soggy, like it hadn't been baked enough.
A pie case just inside the front door tempts you from the moment you enter the restaurant. The fruit pies look beautiful, so we decided to try a slice of warm strawberry rhubarb served with two scoops of vanilla ice cream @ $4. The whole point of this pie recipe is supposed to be that the strawberry naturally sweetens the rhubarb to make a perfect sweet/tart fruit blend. The Bunkhouse version had a lot of added sugar, which ruined the pie. I didn't care for the crust either. Disappointing.
Ambiance is eclectic, kind of old west saloon. Great service, but neither of us were impressed with the food.

We stopped and ended up getting sandwiches. I ordered an Italian sub on jalapeño cheddar bread. Very tasty with a homemade feeling. My wife got a taco wrap. What surprised me was the quality of the offering as I have had Caseys food before and I wouldn't recommend other than pizza. The 15 minute wait to order dropped this rating down a bit. Pleasantly surprised though.

Great restaurant with really great beef. They have grilled and smoked meats and specials were posted the nights we ate there. Nice to see that a lot of local people frequent the Neon! Friendly staff!

The locals all know about this little gem on main street. The food here is wonderful. My wife and I eat here every time we're in town. Their specialty burger is outstanding. The staff is friendly and service is quick. The hometown crowd definitely appreciates the home cookin, but of course, you travelers should also come in and enjoy !

This Beer & Grill is a pub style eatery offering an array of plates a party can share around a table or quality main feature meals and specials. Formerly a large steakhouse and banquet space, the new Bull Market has been completely remodeled to provide for a more robust dining experience. Up to a dozen brews on tap and a good selection of craft bottles make the bar one of the best places to enjoy food and drink in the area. When the Nebraska weather allows a spacious beer garden will also be available.
We were passing through town on Labor Day which meant many places were closed. We walked in and a waitress pointed out a small sheet of paper with about 6 offerings-mostly bar type food except for a 16 oz steak with fries for $22. We...MoreSounds like this hell hole had at least 6 more menu items than anywhere else on the holiday? Also appears the interior makes the subtle suggestion that this is a bar? Here's to hoping Le Bernadin is open next year...

I wanted something more than McDonald's. This was what we were looking for nice people, good service decent food. Homemade chips are really good could use more seasoning. Chicken strips are awesome! Be sure to get the gravy! Burgers are fair. Fries are run of the mill. All in all nice place quick service.

The facility was very clean and organized. They had plenty of help and were fast getting you your food. They were a very fun bunch as they visited and joked with you while they were making your sandwich. I enjoyed stopping in with my family! We stopped on Tuesday June 28th for lunch.

While staying the night traveling through the area, ordered online for pick up as their delivery service didn't start until after 5 PM. The pizza wouldn't cooked until after 5 PM so delivery would be a long wait. Surprised when there was a drive through window to pay & pick up the order. How convenient. Thanks.
