So the outside of the place looks dumpy, but the inside looks very nice. The service was horrible. We waited forever for the waitress to come take our drink order, and for the waitress to bring us our food (almost an hour later and there was only 1 other table of people in the entire restaurant). I CAN say the coffee was very good. I ordered the chicken finger meal (since I wasn't interested in much of the other lunch items available). It was so weird because the outside of the chicken tenders were very dark and tasted like old grease, but the inside of the chicken tenders were cooked perfectly. The steak fries were very good as well. However, the macaroni and cheese was the worst that I have ever had. IN fact, we drove down the road to McDonalds in order to get something to eat because the food there war inedible. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I'm home for a couple of weeks, and the first place I head is to Higher Ground Coffee! There is no other coffee shop on the planet like HIgher Ground. When you walk through the door you feel right at home. You can relax on a nice sofa, or chair, and watch television, visit with friends, have something to eat, or drink some of the best coffee in existance! I personally like to sit at my favorite corner table, and cruise the internet, or work some, and just enjoy my coffee. Kevin, the owner of Higher Ground, blends his own coffee. He has traveled to many of the coffee producing countries and selects his own beans, grinds them, and blends them to produce his amazing coffee. Higher Ground has a great selection of sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and pastries, and some of the most incredible soups you could ever imagine. In a world where customer service seems to be disappearing, the Higher Ground staff is amazing. Each member of the team goes out of their way to make every customer feel at home, and really enjoy their visit. If you want a true coffee experience, try Higher Ground. They are the best!!!

I stop by here to get my mother something a couple of times per week. She likes the apple fritters and the chocolate covered old-fashioned donut. My favorite is the glazed old-fashioned. But I will eat a butter roll occasionally.

If you like sandwiches, you will love Sammies. They have so many varieties to choose from it will be hard to make a choice. They also have soups. The potato soup is my favorite. If you love bacon try their bacon sandwich but be prepared for lots of bacon. Prices are not bad and it is family friendly.

This local restaurant has served the best burgers for years. It is definitely worth a visit…and a slice of pie!!!

Food was great, and the waiter kept our glasses full as well as our salsa and chips. Very reasonable prices, will definately return.

We stopped in for dinner while in the area. We were promptly seated, and the waitress arrived quickly to take our drink order, and bring us chips and salsa.
The menu offered plenty of variety, as did the kids menu.
I had the Laredo Steak, which was well prepared and quite tasty. My wife had the Pollo Hawaiiana, or Hawaiian Chicken, which was also quite tasty. The portions were plentiful. Our grandson had the child's burger and fries, which was more than adequate.
The wait staff was quite attentive. The facility was clean and spacious.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The sandwiches we ordered were large portions, we could have ordered half of the food and still had plenty. The kids enjoyed playing the jukebox. The sundae was delicious. We stopped in the afternoon after having a full day at the Discovery Park. We will stop again when we are in town!

We got the Tater Twister appetizer. It was fresh and hot! Shredded cheese and bacon and ranch for dipping. Great service. Our house salads were big and had a fresh yeast roll.

Great Italian food and good service. Delicious salad, bread with dipping oil and spices and terrific wine list. This is the best Italian food in the area and reasonably priced. Pretty decor and romantic setting for dinner for two or good settings for large groups and parties as well. Try it - you won't be disappointed! .
