I had a business lunch here. I ordered the soup special which was Salmon chowder and I was pleasantly surprised. I have never heard of Salmon chowder, but I gave it a whirl. Pretty cool place to eat and chat. Cheers!

I spotted this place and decided to treat myself to desert after dinner. It's the typical serve yourself frozen yougurt place but had a good selection of flavors and toppings. It's a bit pricey (.49 cents an ounce) but did have some signage about their product being local since there are huge dairy processing plants all over this area. They have a nice patio area to enjoy your treat right outside and on this night, that's where everyone was sitting!

We ate here last year when we were in the area and liked the place so we were on our way to Angeles Camp and stopped in again for lunch and on the way home for dinner and were not disappointed. The food was very good as was the service the prices are reasonable and when ever in Tulare will stop in again.

As everyone knows, there’s nothing quite like a home-cooked meal. While we might not have your mom cooking up food in the kitchen, can guarantee that you’ll find plenty of tasty meals available throughout all hours of the day. When you’re ready to find out what we’re capable of, we invite you to stop in and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
This is a great family dining venue with a unique kid-friendly ambiance but not rowdy at all. Our server was impressively professional and knew the menu inside out, as well as the specials (despite covering several tables). Breakfast was available during dinner so that was awesome! Great meatloaf, chicken fried steak and amazing array of desserts. Loved the unique backs of the stools by the diner bar and did I mention you can get wine and beer and other cocktails too? The menu was cleverly "concealed" inside a newspaper tabloid, but it was quite detailed. Condiments were neatly arranged and the hot sauces were a trio of Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear potency.

Fresh, homemade Italian cuisine specializing in steak, seafood, veal, lamb & Your favorite Pasta! Bread baked daily by chef/owner. Homemade gnocchi, tiramisu as well as sauces, etc. Fresh squeezed cocktails, beer & California-Italian wines. Casual-fine dining restaurant in an Italianesque atmosphere. Romantic & family areas. Private banquet room available. Family owned since 2005. Ample parking. East of Hwy 99, near hotels & shopping.
I went here on advice of the hotel I was staying at, big mistake.
The waitress was standoffish, the food was bland, and the prices too high for what you get. The bread and wine is good, however.
I had the lasagna and I could barely even taste the sausage, no flavor whatsoever. My son had spaghetti and only ate one bite, he said it tasted funny.
This place tries to pretend to be a great Italian restaurant but it's an epic failure at that. However, given that this is Tulare I give it two stars.

Step back in time at "The Coolest Joint in Town", for a taste of the Old Wild West. Featuring the best in Steaks, Ribs, Chicken and Prime Rib,Seafood & more. Cool Hand Luke's promises large servings, a full wine list, a one of a kind saloon and the best dining value available. Open for dinner 7 days a week, and open at noon on Sundays. Happy Hour All Day Everyday! "Every Guest Leaves Happy"
Pretty standard steakhouse fare. We had the tri-tip which was ordered medium rare but was closer to medium. Flavor was good, typical green salad and baked potato with all the trimmings. If you want a quiet meal, eat in the dining room, not the bar. Locals were having a great time which is all that really matters anyway. For more dining options in the area, we were told to go to Visalia, a few miles up the road.

This is kind of like a Moe's Southwest Grill as far as decor, so if you are looking for atmosphere this isn't the place.
But, if you are looking for the best Tex-Mex/Fresh-Mex anywhere you will find it here.
I was unsure at first because the decor was no frills. The place is clean as a whistle, but lacks ombience. Don't let that deter you.
You go to the counter to order and they bring it to you. No waiters, no frills, just delicious food.
I started with a side of chips. $2.50. They give you a large basket of thin delicious chips and you have your choice of 5 different salsas. Most Mexican places don't charge for chips, but I must have eaten $10 worth of salsa, it was that good!
Half way through the chips I decided to order something else so I tried the tropical steak quesadilla .
Talk about good! Words can't describe! The taste of this quesadilla is to quesadillas what the General Sherman Sequoia tree is to trees! Huge!!!
I plan on going back to get another one before I leave town and if I am ever within 50 miles of this place I will be eating there again.

The seven of us loved this little joint not far off the freeway. Thanks Trip Advisor. It was packed with a line to one order taker. Not a big place at all, and we ended up enjoying our burgers outside. We liked the friendly people having lunch who gladly responded to our queries if this was a good place and what we should order. They loved the place and I took two guys up who said definitely said, "You gotta get the #3 Combo-- Double Wimpy Burger, Fries, and Drink." They were so right! Two charred, hand-formed burgers and great fries! All-American food done right. I love this place, and will make sure I get back next time I visit friends in Visalia.

It was a busy Saturday morning at the Tulare IHOP. The staff was nice, attentive, and my order arrived in a timely fashion. I had a combo breakfast, eggs, hash browns, crepes, and all was delicious. Definitely recommended!
