I see that some reviews were written by out-of-state / region diners. Have you heard that a book should not be judged by its cover?
How can a restaurant playing Rocky III on a cold Tuesday school night not immediately start earning stars???
If you know Arkansas, "pretentious" is not synonymous. Many of the best meals are created within non-trendy walls in antiquated hometown buildings (no mortgage may translate to better food quality & quantity) where there is no dress code etc.
If ya want "atmosphere," make a rez @ The Country Club where you can sport your jacket & tie & Cole Haans.
Jerry's is NOT the establishment I've frequented that bears the sign

Another hint I learned in the Texas Hill Country & other remote areas:: If the biker crowd pulls in there, I wanna try it too!!!
Surrounded by dry counties, a smorgasbord of cold bottled beer is an oasis in the desert. & not even Poinsett Co. is wet-- only the "City of Trumann" (pop. 7,243).
Both the server & chef said they "have no idea" whether the beef is local or regional-- but of course I don't hold that against them! It's the charred crust & medium-rare center & attentive service that I care about.
An 8-oz. savory filet (every bite perfect), loaded baked potato & Texas Toast was $25.99, a good price.
Yes, the bacon wrap must be charred too. They buy a brand of thick-sliced bacon sold in AR that is to-die-for. Nothing turns me off more before I cut into a filet than a flimsy chewy barely-seared piece of bacon.
My colorful plate was garnished with a slice of tomato topped with jalapenos & a dill pickle spear.
I also ordered a side of sauteed mushrooms, but they never came.
The cashier announced to a family of 4 that their bill was $89.77 before tip.
A boy & his Grandpa enjoyed a big meal then ordered cheesecake to go.
The icing on the cake? Across the street I bought unleaded for $1.63/9.

I ordered a Butterfinger Shake $3.80 (obviously a copycat of Dairy Queen's Blizzard).
Instead of soft-serve mix, she had used milk & crushed ice, no sugar, & it was icy & lumpy, not well blended. It tasted terrible, & I threw it in the garbage @ my next stop. If I hadn't been on the road with time constraints, I would have taken it back.

Everything is freshly ground and made. Their refried beans are excellent! Tired of eating salsa that burns out your tonsils? Theirs is mild and flavorful. Also, their cheese dip is unique. The menu is broad and generous while also affordable. Stop in and taste for yourself.

The Trumann Chamber of Commerce meets at Couch's every 2nd Tuesday, and we have for years. The food is always prompt and good. A family owned restaurant with great hometown values.

Our family fav is the chicken tender family dinner with hickory fries. You get plenty of hand-dipped, fresh tenders with dipping sauces, hickory fries (potatoes smoked in BBQ pit and then fried in wedges) with ranch dressing, typical rolls, slaw, and amazing baked beans. Call in your order ahead of time because it is cooked fresh and will take a few minutes.
Almost forgot... the House Salad is the best... a little pricey for a salad... but, really, really good.
The dining room isn't great... so, get it take out and enjoy at home, on a picnic, church potluck, or family reunion.

I always make a trip here when I am in the area. They have the best pizza burgers ever!! I also love the hot fudge shakes and fried green beans.
I grew up in Trumann and it is a great memory to relive eating a pizza burger.
Worth a side trip to eat here.

I stop at Trumann, a smallish town off Hwy 63/I555 in Arkansas, on my way to MO. I stay at the Day's Inn. When I asked at the desk about a good restaurant, they suggested Sidelines, which is just behind the Days Inn. I have to say, hands down, it was some of the best home cooking I've had in ages. I ordered shrimp, with baked potato and salad. Generally when ordering baked potato, even in mid priced chain family places, I'm disappointed. This potato was wonderful, soft and fluffy and fresh, and big. The salad was generous and fresh and the shrimp was also great. Service was wonderful and friendly; the cook certainly knew what she was doing. I let them know several times how good it was. I was a happy camper. This is not fine dining, just really good fresh home cooking at a reasonable price. I look forward to my next stop in Trumann, AR.

Looking for a really good pizza? This is the place! You won't get one of those chain store average pizzas here. Each pizza is made to order, fresh, and with an abundant amount of ingredients. Local people serving their local community - so it matters if they don't deliver quality service and products. They don't disappoint! You'll be happy you ordered your pizza here! Good eats, good prices, good service.
