We went here to get pizza, but inadvertently came on wing night. The place was crazy busy. We thought we should try the wings as they were described as "jumbo." We did not think they were that big, and were not impressed with the flavor. Ordered the pizza which was good. A large food and drink selection. Overall would recommend.

Tim Hortons is a coffee and donut shop that is prevalent on the East Coast. The coffee and other drinks are priced much more affordable than similar drinks at Caribou or Starbucks. The donuts and Timbits (donut holes) are very good.
This location is pretty small so they don't always have the full selection and do not have any breakfast sandwiches at all.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our dining choices (duck special for my husband, dinner salad for me) I was underwhelmed with the noise level and the rather mediocre service. We also both ordered the sea bass chowder; it was very tasty and beautifully presented. However, the portion was very skimpy, maybe 1/2 cup.
We probably will return to the Wilderness Grill because we like to go to Fortune Bay Casino. Frankly, if you want to eat at Fortune Bay, go to the buffet in the main building.

I have purchased sandwiches to take out and they are decent. However, their claim to fame is their cookies and scones. Every time I stop in, there is a new selection of cookies: last time I bought peanut butter as well as chocolate chip, both delicious. They seem homemade and are quite large. The scones are very fresh and come in several varieties. I buy whatever they are featuring that day, and they are always the best I've ever had. My friend introduced me to the scones last summer when she took some on our way to Duluth one day to go on a home tour.

Nice place for a meal but the food (Friday Night Fish Fry) was mediocre at best.
We also ordered (twice) a couple of Brandy Manhattans and they had no clue how to make them, But I suspect the bottle beer should be a-ok.
Nice owners but don't order Fish Fry or a Manhattan.

Nice spot adjacent to the snowmobile trail and has a great menu and all the drink options you need. This place has been around for a long time and you need to check it out. You will not be disappointed in this place on highway 169 just outside of Tower.

If you want to be stared at by slack-jawed yokels and treated as an inconvenience by the staff, this is the place for you. Also, they only accept cash, and they’re absolutely intransigent to the point of hostility where that archaic policy is concerned. The food is ok, but you’d be better of just going to the grocery store down the street and then cooking your own breakfast. I’d recommend skipping this overly-hyped place and searching for friendlier accommodations either up or down the road.

We've eaten here several times and the food and service has always been wonderful. The filet along with the crab legs are my favorite. The loaded baked potato is great as well.... Be prepared to pay premium prices however, but it will be worth it. The bas part of the high entree prices is that the meals do not include soup or salad; (but if you like caesar salad - they have an excellent one.) It will add $5 to your meal and will be small, but like I said, it is excellent. The meal does include some delicious popovers and the drink prices are on par with other fine dining restaurants. The restaurant is fairly small and tastily decorated. Not all tables offer the best seating options. I feel the booths offer the best seating, but they are very limited.

The Tamarack at Fortune Bay Resort Casino offers different types of buffets on different nights. We were there on a weekday night for the basic buffet. Plenty of entrees, including carved to order ham, were offered. The salad bar offerings are unimaginative but adequate. The dessert offerings made me wish I had planned ahead...yum!
I think the basic price was $14.95 but we qualified for the senior rate, about 10% off.
We did have a great server, very attentive at bringing us our beverages and taking away used plates. We did leave her a tip, even though we were at a buffet.

My brother and I were out fishing and were really excited to try benchwarmers. It's neat because you can dock your boat and eat. We got in and we were literally the only people in the place. The waiter (possibly owner) came over and was...MoreSo sorry for the awful experience. Would like to know what day this was on so we can speak with cook, and waiter. Thank you.
