This is a kind of newcomer to town. Great smoothies, drinks and during season a sort of fruit cup with or without topping. So refreshing and healthy!

This store has all the great features of a Buc-ee’s plus more if you can image. The have everything you need for the beach and fishing. They have dressing room to try on the bathing suits - yay! Awesome cover ups, beach bags, and tons of sandals. Lots of beach toys, chairs, coolers, sunglasses, etc. Great place to stop before your cruise out of Galveston.
Same food as the rest of the Buc-ee’s. Tons of snacks.

My first time to visit. I had the fried jumbo coconut shrimp and loved them! Another family member had the stuffed flounder, others had shrimp brochettes, boudin balls, cheese sticks, artichoke dip. The food quality was amazing and portions were large. Service was also great! It was an out of the way place right on the waters edge. You need to try it!

If you post a sticker on your restaurant front door for people to know that you support TripAdvisor & want reviews then be prepared to have honest feedback. The restaurant was filled with dirty tables and nowhere to sit. I asked the cashier where we were supposed to sit and was told that someone would be right there to clean off some tables. We waited and waited, along with others wanting tables too. No one ever did show up so I asked AGAIN and was told that they were having a busy day. Ummm NOT my problem. I ordered over $20 worth of food so I kind of expect not to be forced to eat standing up because not one of your 20 employees can clean a table. I finally got mad and requested the manager. The owner/manager (?) came up to the register from the grill and then just walked away. He seriously couldn't even talk to a customer that had requested him after experiencing poor service AND STILL nowhere to sit. What a joke! The cashier finally bused a table for us to sit after I told him to cancel my order if I couldn't sit down to eat. As for the food, the onion rings were not good. The fries were average. The condiment bar was out of ketchup. The owner/manager's wife was arranging salt shakers on the bar but neglected to restock condiment cups or anything else that was needing attending to. I guess it is too much to ask for her to have cleared some tables. This restaurant is poorly run and only cares about raking in money at the register. After you pay, they could care less about anything else. The only reason this place is popular with good reviews is because of the burger toppings you get for free on the condiment bar. Two thumbs down.

Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen is a family of full-service Mexican restaurants in the Houston area. All restaurants serve the highest quality Mexican food, offer a full bar and are open daily Sunday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. The Gringo’s brand identity is stamped with superior quality products combined with excellent value.
We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years. The food is average. The typical Tex-Mex menu, but a little tame. Portions are good and the food comes out hot. The table have rock hard wood chairs. The last couple of visits, our service has been lacking. The last time with friends, we ordered an nacho plate appetizer, which is good. Before it came out, the waiter came back and wanted to take our order. I specifically told him not to put our order in until after the appetizer was served and we finished it. The appetizer came out and two minutes later here came the food. Our table was crowed with the large appetizer plates. The waitress handing out the food was using a towel to pick up the hot plates. Although there was plenty of room to walk around, she kept handing hot plates across the table and expecting us to take them bare handed. When a couple of the ladies did not want to take the hot plate, the waitress just kept holding it across the table in front of their faces. She acted like there was a big hurry even though it was mid afternoon and not crowded. The service was definitely reflected in the size of tip, plus a note was left on the ticket.

Definitely worth a stop. You know it's crawfish season when the grocery stores sell live bugs by the sack. It's a lot of work to boil them though and it's worth seeking out places like Boyd's. Boyd's is classic Galveston county, old school, order at the window and eat them in the open or under their tent. Pretty spicy and of decent size. They keep them in live tanks and boil them up fresh. Better than T-bone Toms in Kemah or outriggers under the Seabrook bridge. 2 lines, one for buyers for live purchase and the other for cooked. Locals order ahead and pick up cooked bugs hot in Styro chests. This place is at the entrance of Texas City Dike and a lot of fisherman stop here, they are part of the show if you want to see what real gulf coast Texans look like. Urban Cowboy location, refineries on the horizon, across from the Texas city disaster memorial. In fact, you can see one of the ship propellers that was blown up on shore. Probably more for locals for carry out but definitely worth a side trip

The food and atmosphere was very good. A friendly staff and great service was perfect. Our steaks and baked potatoes were cooked exactly as ordered. The only drawback I saw was the windows are so tinted, you can't always tell when the restaurant is open. Always check the door sign to see if they are open.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to a meeting. I trust TripAdvisor to not lead me astray, and I don't think that's the case here, either. However, I was very disappointed with the service. I'll chalk it up as a one-off, but I'll likely not go back. The food was really good, so it helped alleviate the slow service, absence of refills, and complete lack of knowledge about the menu.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat while waiting for an appointment. We found this place by accident and it was a wonderful place to eat. My husband got the #1 and we couldn't believe the amount of food he received. It was authentic Mexican food and delicious. I ordered 2 tacos and i couldn't even eat both because it was so much food. Delicious food. Go here!
