Great market with just about all you need on the west shore of Tahoe.
They have great shirts/hats/souvenirs too!
They have an indoor restroom, which is very handy if you're driving through, as there aren't many other options nearby!
One tiny nit: no high-end champagne (their best is a $25 Mumm, which was nice but not quite Veuve Cliquot!).

A picturesque lakefront restaurant and inn located at Lake Tahoe's west shore, the West Shore Cafe offers guests delicious cuisine and superb service amidst some of the world's most beautiful surroundings. West Shore Cafe offers a festive and romantic Lakeview setting with elegant, yet approachable cuisine at affordable prices. As a year-round destination, the West Shore Cafe beckons skiers during the winter months and is mere steps from sister property, Homewood Mountain Resort. During summer months, the West Shore Cafe's location is ideal for those cruising the bike path, as well as boaters touring Lake Tahoe. West Shore Cafe hosts several buoys, and welcomes boaters and kayakers ashore.
Just attended our son's wedding and the location was perfect. I was concerned about having the ceremony outside on the dock in December as it thought it would be too cold. It turned out perfect and got positive feedback from all who attended. This is a great spot to create lasting memories.
The kitchen did a excellent job on dinner, and I highly recommend the halibut to anyone.

Espresso And Gelato
Very quaint little Gelato and Coffee place right in the middle of Tahoma. Be it for a short but sweet refreshing break or to treat yourself to some dessert after a sumptuous meal in the neighboring Pizza joint, this place is a fabulous choice. Their freshly brewed coffee is great and Chai Tea Latte is also exquisite. The choices in favors for the ice cream, though not anything extravagant, is good enough to pack in a little something that everyone can like.

Since 1978, Fire Sign Cafe has been a family owned and operated Breakfast and Lunch restaurant. We pride ourselves on our extensive menu, full of homemade food. Our restaurant has been a local favorite since it opened. It has been featured in several publications such as Sunset Magazine, as well as shown on Rachael Ray's, "Tasty Travels". Our great service and even better food are what keep people coming back!
We stopped for lunch at this charming restaurant during a trip to Tahoe. Everything was delicious--fresh and homemade. My husband had the Reuben sandwich and I had a black bean burger, both specialties of the cafe. Definitely a recommended lunch stop while in the area!

Tahoe House Bakery is a must if you have a sweet tooth. I had the chocolate filed croissant which was worth every calorie. My had an almond paste filled croissant which she already informed me we MUST go back for again. They have other things to eat also, but we did not try them out. My kids were happy with the cookies. The fresh baked breads looked great. Reasonably priced too. Definitely a busy place, but the line moves quickly. Highly recommend.

We had a great time per usual. The food is great with the lobster being a highlight. The s’mores dessert was beyond delicious and I am already dying to go back. Our waiter Cliff was phenomenal... we had a small issue with the meal and he made sure to make sure everything came out perfectly. He had the perfect balance between taking care of us and making us feel like you’re dining with friends. We highly recommend Six Peaks!

Simple local restaurant serving good pizza with prompt friendly service. Our group had an assortment of pizzas, wings and salad and all were good.
If would be nice if they offered wifi for customers, Cellular service in this area was a bit weak for several in our group and wifi could have been helpful.

Obexer's General Store is located in Homewood, on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe at Obexer's Boat Company, the oldest full-service marina on the lake. There are multiple businesses on this family run property in addition to the General Store: Obexer's Boat Co. and Obexer's Water Sports to name a few. Come by boat, bike, car or feet- Obexer's in summer just can't be beat!
We stopped for a drink on their deck following a long walk. We waited a little time for the two women staffing the checkout to finish their conversation. They informed us we had to place our order at the deli bar. The server there was unable to recommend any local or American beer, sadly he was not enjoying his job and struggled to even reply to yes or no questions. We returned to checkout to pay, whilst one of the women remarked to the other that it must be European Season. Perhaps it is irksome that Europeans visit Tahoe, but all the other places we visited (and tipped staff) were very welcoming. I'm glad this was only an exception to the usual Tahoe welcome. We won't return to Obexer's.

Good food, great view, fabulous servers and Robin, the owner always seems to be there.
We love this place for a special occasion. The view is fine, outdoor summer seating and the food is always great. Good wine list, not too overpriced.
Wait staff is always responsive. We return often. Our favorite place on the North Sore and Truckee
