This was a perfect finish to a great romantic getaway with my wife. Returning from Charleston, we found this gem on trip advisor made reservations for 530. We arrived and we're graciously welcomed by the staff and seated immediately. The dining is small and cozy, make reservations we went on a Monday and the place was pretty busy. Started off with a great server who walked us though the specials. My wife had the pork chop was delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the rib eye it was very tasty maybe like 1 degree over medium rare that I ordered. The server advised me that it may be over in temp and if it was they would cook me another. There was no need it was so perfectly seasoned there was no way she was taking it from me. My wife and I will drive from Bryson City just to eat here again. Oh the Apple butter and biscuits are warm fluffy and a pleasant addition to a perfect meal.

My first visit here. Had the pulled pork with sides of fried okra and collard greens. The BBQ was much too wet and had a mush like texture. The taste was bland. The best I can say is that the collard greens were good.

We are regulars at the Eye Scream Parlour on Hwy 70 in Swannanoa, NC. They have fantastic ice cream, sundaes, shakes, floats, pies and everything ice cream.
Plus on Tuesday nights they are the venue for the Swannanoa Bluegrass Jam. This is a wonderful bunch of friendly and talented musicians and singers. It is great fun to watch them having fun playing and singing.
By the way, the ice cream products are at very reasonable prices. The whole family can afford to go! Oh, yes...free wi-fi too. And stay tuned. They are remodeling the kitchen in order to serve more food products.

This place serves great coffee, excellent pastries, breads, and salads in an atmosphere that respects intimate conversation. There are well-spaced tables, and very quiet music. The lighting is gentle. I have met there for business, friend-talks, studying on my own. I have also dashed in for a lunch to take to work or a mid-afternoon coffee to keep me going. Great for breakfast, lunch or coffee time (all day). The service is laid back -- not fast but also not casual. For the health-conscious, the some salads are vegan and chock full of nutrient dense foods that don't come cheap. The food is definitely worth what you pay for it. But if you want something hot, cheap and filling, Hardees is right across the street.

Proudly supporting your coffee habit since 1999. We buy some of the finest green coffee beans available and roast them off-site on an American-made Diedrich roaster. As roasters, we deeply respect farmers' dedication to excellence and sustainability, and we strive to honor their hard work by carefully developing each harvest's optimal flavors. As baristas, we are invested in brewing coffee that showcases nature's genius and in sharing it meticulously and enthusiastically with you. As community members, we strive to forge rich connections and to provide a third place that fosters creative interaction and supports the vitality of this beautiful place. We're located in the quaint downtown historic district of Black Mountain and offer delectable homemade pastries (GF options), fresh fruit smoothies, and coffee frappes in addition to all of the traditional espresso-based beverages. Free Wi-Fi, parking and outdoor seating.
This place is repeatedly voted “Best” in class in WNC as The Dripolator earns it by preparing Sustainabiltiy grown high quality coffees thin a convivial atmosphere. I tried a Golden Latte. It was an amazing savory coffee with turmeric, cinnamon, pepper and honey. A coffee to savor and feel great about.

Sooooo many choices of ice cream to choose from it was hard to make a decision. They will let you sample as many as it takes to make up your mind, and they were all good. A perfect place to have some great ice cream, relax and watch the world go by.

Daily plate lunches, six house made soups, unique sandwiches, wraps, Panini's, salads, decadent desserts, and more..
Was a bit skeptical that a small town restaurant would accommodate my dietary needs, but no need to worry. They have great gluten free bread and a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups for me. Nice small town atmosphere and would recommend for anyone that wants a good simple meal in an off the beaten track location.

Native was started by two North Carolina couples who recognized the need for sustainable food practices, and a responsibility that we all share when it comes to our soil, water and air. We believe strongly in supporting farming techniques, which are sustainable, organic, and regenerative. These local farms restore the fabric of rural communities, decrease water and air pollution, preserve and build topsoil and produce wonderful crops. The foods they deliver to our tables are high in nutritive value and are without chemical residue. Our support to these dedicated farmers yields healthier ingredients that strengthens our sense of local community, builds our local community and, most importantly, it is a vital step toward protecting these resources for future generations. It is important to us that we not only provide local food, but that we strive to support our local breweries, artists, musicians and community. Native is a gathering place to celebrate our local culture, and we hope that you enjoy your visit with us!
Enjoyed dinner on the patio with a large number of neighbors. The food was very yummy, including the fried Brussel sprout appetizer, beer soup, hamburgers, salmon, pork sandwich etc... Amazing that everyone enjoyed their selection of food. It was a very nice evening and the patio was delightful. Service was friendly and great. We will be back!

Don't let the unappealing location off old rt. 70 deter you from this great roastery. There is porch seating and a eclectic, well-lit interior. Coffee is great, fair trade, and consistent (we have ordered it for months from their online business). One bag they ground for us was too fine for our drip coffeemaker, so it kept clogging the filter. I'll always ask for a coarser grind from now on. Otherwise, we've had no issues. The bonus was the delicious blueberry muffins that appeased my caffeine-free elementary age kids. Ok. I had one too.
