If you happen to be in our neck of the woods, we invite you to stop by our coffee shop. Not only can you find great fresh roasted coffees and a full coffee bar menu, you’ll also be able to take of your hunger pangs. For breakfast, we offer bagels, bakery items, breakfast sandwiches, whole grain waffles and more. For lunch, you can choose from our delicious selection of sandwiches, soups and salads.
Traveling US Rt. 58 across Virginia, came across Stuart at lunch time. After two tries, found the Main Street and this restaurant. Asked for a got a fired country ham sandwich, which was delicious. Staff invited me back to the kitchen to pick out my beer... True southern service! And the event was very nice!

I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled veal porterhouse steak last night here. Excellent service too. The appetizers were very different- not really anything that I would ever try again but I do applaud the chef on his creations. The salads were very good as well. Great spot overall!

This place is a gem of a local restaurant. It is clean and spacious. The service is above average and it is a family oriented restaurant that is unashamedly local. The kitchen is well run and organised and can keep up with the ebb and flow as the place goes from half-empty to busting at the seams.
The food, the food you ask. Every time I have been here--that would be twice now--I have done so for lunch and so have avoided anything too big to allow hitting the road again. I have had the ribeye steak and the grilled pork tenderloin sandwiches so far, my father has had a couple of different burgers. All of these are excellent choices. All sandwiches come with a side. The fries are seasoned, crisp and plentiful. The onion rings are real, beautiful golden brown and crisp.
OK, big deal, those are sandwiches. Well based on observation alone--the size of my belly will tell you that I can tell good food with eyes and nose alone--the food here is not your average food. Every deep fried dish I watched come out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked. They understand both the art and the science of deep frying and that is no small accomplishment. We were there on a Wednesday and the fried shrimp and chicken livers were flowing out the kitchen window. I loved my sandwich but was very envious of those getting the popcorn shrimp. I would love to try the fried chicken, I bet it is as good as the Shrimp Boat in Rock Hill, SC.
If you are ever near I would suggest you stop. The breakfast menu is large, reasonable and I'm betting equal to the lunches. The rest of the menu is fairly expansive and they have daily specials. I got to get there on a Thursday so I can try the fried chicken special.
I asked the waitress what were they famous for? It seems most restaurants do at least one thing better than the rest. When she responded, "Everything." I kind of rolled my eyes. But I think she just may be right. I'll let you know in a few years.

This is a little take-out place along the side of the road in Patrick Springs, not far from Stuart. It's a cute little place with a nice covered area where you can put in your order and wait for it to be done. They don't have any tables or facilities for eating there - it's strictly take-out, but it's really good and really popular with the locals. I love their burgers. They are my favorite and have this great smell that permeates everything. If you are passing through and think it looks interesting, be reassured - it's really good.

The owner is also the director of the local music association!
There is nothing better than coming to the Coffee Break on Main Street in Stuart, Virginia! Right away you'll be greeted by Mary and Denny Alley, the owners, and made to feel as though you've always been a customer.
Few other places can combine such warmth, a unique collection of locals and out-of-towners with delicious, simple food (think country ham and biscuits with sausage gravy!) in a lively atmosphere. Ask for the Sausage, Egg, Tomato and Cheese biscuit with a side of gravy!
This is the heart of Patrick county, its nerve center, its kitchen and its dining room. Here you can receive both psychiatric or caffeine counseling in a booth or over the counter in back (whether you need it or not), where Denny is both the maestro of the flat top grill, and an extrordinary guitarist (he played with Chet Atkins et. al.) who also happens to run the local music scene.
Mary is the kind and consummate proprietress who might just sit down with you to take your order, and fill you in on all the news that's worth knowing in these parts. A great staff is always there to please.
As you begin to figure out who's who, you'll realize that you are actually dining with nationally known Nascar pioneers, acclaimed best selling authors and the area's most successful business owners. Their kindness and down-home manner belies their amazing talent and sophistication.
I plan to go back every opportunity I get!

Stopped for lunch and enjoyed a fine meal. Service was excellent and the lunch enchilada supreme was served well prepared, hot and tasty.
Comfortable and clean. Relaxed atmosphere.
Good chips and tasty salsa as appetizer. Good selection of beverages to go with the meal.
Easily accessible from the Stuart bypass but worth the side trip. Have eaten here before and have always had a good experience.

Best hamburgers ever!!! These burgers taste like they should taste when people long ago took pride in their product. Excellent every time!!! If you enjoy a good cheeseburger and fries, this is the place!! Also, the cheese steak sandwiches are superb! The restaurant is not fancy..far from it, but is a place you will revisit for the food, not the ambiance.

We recently ate at the 19th Pub several times while staying at Primland. It's open for most of the day and evening and reservations aren't required. The menu has a nice variety and the food is well prepared, although our burgers on one afternoon were overcooked. Don't miss the "pig candy" as it's incredibly good.
The servers are very nice; however, they are sometimes a little hard to find. They didn't seem to check back after the food was delivered.
