I had the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. The biscuits are different than I am used to. They are the texture of a fluffy cake. My friend loved her Diner breakfast. She commented on how large and good the old fashioned ham was.

At the Top Of Our Game in Okoboji! Minervas Bar and Grill in Okoboji is located at the Arrowwood Resort and just across the highway from East Okoboji Lake. The menu includes a large selection of favorites including hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, authentic pastas, the freshest salads, and house-made desserts. This resort destination caters to the Arrowwood Resort for special events.
We ate here after being absent from Lakes area for more than a year. Food and service were good as expected. One minor complaint - Minervas was featuring its Oktoberfest menu which is identical to the menu in its Sioux City location. A week ago...MoreWe apologize for our mistake, BikeHawk! Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as we strive for consistency throughout our stores - we hope you will be back in again soon to enjoy another meal with us!

I visit HGC every time I'm in Okoboji, but I've always had slow, terrible customer service. With the old owners and new owners, it's the same - no one is in a hurry and they really don't care if you're there or not. On my most recent visit I walked in and waited several minutes to have the employees (standing right behind the counter) acknowledge me. One of the workers was even facing me, but she was helping another employee transfer caramel rolls from a baking pan to the display case. I saw her putting something (leftover pieces from the pan) into her mouth with her fingers and eating. (Eww.) The other woman eventually turned around and put the caramel rolls away when they had finished. She was in no hurry to take my order or acknowledge me. I thought about getting a latte but knew it would take 15 minutes, so I just got a couple of cookies and left. (Get a latte at Goodies instead - they are super fast and friendly!)
...Anyway, I love their cookies and lunch, but it's probably because I grew up there. My husband doesn't understand the appeal. There are limited choices in SL/Okoboji and I would go somewhere with better customer service and variety, but there isn't a cafe who offers quite the same things. (For lattes and delicious treats, no cookies though, go to Goodies. For a variety of things, including the best cinnamon rolls ever, go to Lisa's Bake Shop )

Been coming to Spudnutz for a few years since they opened. Simply the finest donuts I've found in the 200 mile radius I travel from Sioux City. Brent Wyman is deservedly proud of the bakery and personally bakes, decorates the place beautifully and greets his customers. Sticks to one genre of baking and does it to perfection.
Hint: get here early, sells fast!!

This by far the best coffee shop in Okoboji. Fresh pastries, a quiche that is to die for and a fantastic atmosphere. It is a very eclectic coffee shop with color and personality. Highly recommend to anyone passing through. Conveniently located right off the bike trail.

The Nutty Bar Stand has been an Arnolds Park icon since 1945. We have been satisfying the Okoboji area's sweet tooth for generations. Our commitment to serving the highest quality products at the lowest price make us a family favorite. Come have a treat with us and let us be part of your summer tradition!
This is an Iowa Great Lakes classic, enjoyed by so many over the years and being introduced young ice cream fans today. Every time we stop by for a Nutty Bar I see multi-generational groups of families enjoying this hand-made Arnolds Park treat. There's no table service-- just walk inside and give them your order at the counter.
They offer other treats as well, but we always get the Nutty Bars. They're delicious-- and it's fun to sit at one of their outside tables, people watching and enjoying the sights and sounds of the amusement park. If you time it right, you'll be able to watch happy tourists getting on or off the Queen II.

This restaurant is located in Arnold's Park Amusement Park. Setting is your choice to inside or out. It is also located across the street from beautiful Lake Okoboji. Casual dining outside and more formal inside. The staff is excellent and the menu has many great entrees with sandwiches and salads are also available.

This is a buffet style place, but can order something particular to eat. They do a brisk take out and delivery business. The buffet pizzas are served hot, as well as the chicken. They also feature a more than adequate salad bar. They recently provide soft serve ice cream. No one walks away hungry. A $10 bill gets you the buffet and drink.

The cones and Blizzard's were melty when served due to the high demand. When they make them nonstop they don't have time to freeze in the machine. Try liquid nitrogen like they do at high demand events.

The location of this restaurant is on the place where the Okoboji General Store was located hundred years ago. The old WILSON. BOATWORKS was a part of this land where the restaurant is located.the upper level is the restaurant and bar and the lower level on the lake also serves food. The beer costs what the same as the temperature of the lake. That area is called Zeke's Place after Zeke Wilson. The food is good the bands are good.
