We enjoyed our meal at Mis Arados! The kids meals are a great value and were enjoyed by the three children in our party. My daughter did say that she's prefer her Quesadilla to be made with sharp cheddar vs. the white cheese found within so perhaps allowing the children to choose their cheese would be a good option? I ordered the Chile relleno and would've preferred it without the mole sauce, but it was still good (not the best I've ever had). The one negative was the service.....very slow and should've been much more attentive.

Backwoods Bean is a local family-owned Cafe serving innovative Farm to Table meals using a constantly changing menu, beer menu, wine list, and coffee drinks. Everything is house-made from our bread to our condiments. We have a large selection of baked goods and pastries and responsibly grown coffee for sale by the cup or pound. We serve pizza on Thursday night and starting in May of 2016 will serve dinner on Friday nights
After spending a night in this lovely small town, looking for coffee, was a pleasant surprise. Not only that the shop opens early, but that the coffee (in our case, it is always cappuccino) could rival any big city. The fellow roast his own beans, and has retail available. The foam makes the drink, for me, and I was so pleasantly surprised. Rich, creamy foam covering delicious coffee flavor. His bake goods - sweet reads and muffins, were no slouch either.
If your travels take you near Sparta, N.C., Backwoods Bean is on the Main Street - and open early.

The restaurant is inside a building where the front part houses merchandise. My wife bought a nice mug there. The restaurant was in the back. Menu was simple. Food was good and not expensive. Service was very nice and attentive. We both got sandwiches, chips, and fountain drinks. We left full and satisfied. We will gladly go there again the next time we ride the Blue Ridge Parkway.

This is a typical small town, local Southern restaurant with simple, good food. Susan was our waitress. She was so kind and attentive and helpful with our orders. Our grandson was with us, and she gave him some special attention. My husband loves country ham and said his was great, I had fried chicken from the buffet and it was good Southern fried chicken. The grandson had a hamburger, no surprise there for a child. He ate all of it, so think it was good also. Most of the reviews I read were for breakfast, we were there for Sunday lunch.. Don't miss out on the hush puppies, best I've had since being on the coast. Hot, crispy and so good. Think they would give the biscuits a run for their money.

Went there for lunch today. The restaurant/ general store isn't much to look at from the outside but the food inside was especially tasty. Ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich and was absolutely delighted with it. The steak was seasoned just right and the mushrooms, onions and peppers were cooked to perfection. Not soggy or too crisp. The waitress and cook were very attentive and came over to chat. Didn't have room to try the homemade deserts but will make sure to sample them on my next visit.

This delightful Spanish eatery is a great diversion off the Blue Ridge Parkway, maybe 8 miles west on US 21 and on the eastern outskirts of Sparta. The chick pea appetizer was excellent! Went for a pitcher of Sangria. Very nice! I selected their roast pork special and my wife went for the salad which was served in a bowl shaped tostada type shell. Both were excellent. Finished up with a Cafe con Leeche.
The serving style is that once your main entrees have been delivered they pretty much leave you alone for awhile. We just settled in for a relaxed meal experience, unwinding and savoring the food and sangria. We waddled out two hours later, utterly sated and exhilarated.
This Riverside eatery has had several different owners and cuisine styles over the years and is now entirely enclosed so can be open year round. We were going to dine with the river view as we prefer during each visit but as the day was blustery we chose the warm and cozy front area. Our previous visit was earlier this year. Same owners. Prices are reasonable and for being where it is, Tex Mex--with its Spanish focus-- is a welcome find.

Most of my trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway was mapped out. On this particular evening I was tired and frustrated so I found the closest exit and threw a dart. Bulls Eye! What a great little place. I don't believe it has been open for over a year but it ran like clock work. Service was fast and efficient. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a beer. The cheeseburger was perfect, the fries okay, and the beer cold. The waitresses could not have been nicer. i came in feeling a little down and left happy.

36 beers on tap, including NC local beer. Bourbon and cigar bar, featuring handmade premium cigars. Great pizza, wings, salad bar, sandwiches, subs, entrees,& more. Best place in town to watch sports between three flat screen tvs. Daily lunch buffet, Sunday brunch buffet also features full chef's hot bar.
Pizza was not my favorite. Not that it was bad but I personally love crispy "well done" pizza crusts. This one was very soft and mushy. But that's a matter of tastes I guess. The salad bar was great. All the ingredients were very fresh. My son had the grilled chicken sandwich which he really enjoyed. Bar has a great beer & bourbon selection. Place is very clean and has a great vibe.

I came in to order some takeout. I waited inside while they prepared my food. Everybody was so friendly! The staff members were friendly, the customers were friendly, it was like visiting with old family. The sandwiches were very good, the buffalo chips were very tasty! I will definitely be back

Recommended by staff at a local hotel. Great Japanese food. The cook has a deft touch with seasonings. Meal was excellent and the wait staff were on the ball. Excellent meal for the price. Highly recommend.
