We had a really bad experience all round. Our initial round of drinks came quickly, but after that we had to wait almost an hour for a pizza -- and the restaurant was not that crowded. The pizza had generous toppings but a pretty awful crust, tough and flavorless. Then we waited ages to get a bill and pay for the meal. Service was so bad that we finally went up to the bar to pay, otherwise we'd probably still be sitting there!

Upscale steakhouse in Downtown Beloit. Enjoy amazing food with riverfront views. Live music throughout the week.
Finally got a chance to visit, having heard about it, but could never get reservations. Ordered the special - bacon wrapped scallops - and they were amazing. Always a little reluctant to order seafood in the midwest, but these were large and perfectly done. Interesting atmosphere with many large sepia-toned prints of old Beloit, and an industrial feel to complement the adjacent Ironworks Hotel.

The donuts are wonderful (maple twists and caramel are our favorites) but the service received from the staff that work there is exceptional. The staff are always smiling and go out of their way to be very helpful. Thank you!

What a wonderful ice cream shop! The young people that work there are so friendly and genuine. The ice cream is very good. I had the pecan praline. Beautiful early evening and nice that they had seating outdoors to enjoy the weather.

Two of us had breakfast here the other day. We received arge portions with reasonable pricing. Service was fast and friendly.

We started off with the loaded fries. You could make a meal just out of those fires. Best loaded fries me and my boyfriend have had. I ordered the Popeye Burger(burger of the month), which of course had Avocado, Smoked Gouda, spinach stuffed inside the burger!!!! It was so juicy and good. BF ordered the Plain Jane, which is your choice of cheese stuffed inside. Again very juicy and with the cheese who wouldn't love it! We are still talking about this place to everyone who wants to know where to find a great burger! We will be back!!

Take care of your sweet tooth by visiting this confectionary, smoothie, caramel corn paradise. The smoothies are rich, thick and perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients. There is a wide variety of chocolates in the display case making a final decision almost impossible. The caramel corn is thickly coated but...get this...not TOO sweet. Perfect. Enjoy the Flying Pig in the summer during the farmer's market every Saturday or on Fridays when there is a flea market. Both events feature live music (be sure to tip the musicians). I lived in Beloit during the 70's and watched the downtown disintegrate. Wonderful to see it is reborn and quite delightful.

My family and I order here on occasion and really enjoy the food. We prefer pizza from other places but the Italian beef sandwiches are top notch. They offer daily specials that give you more bang for your buck. The meatball sandwich is huge!! All in all a good spot to get s bite.

There are so many things about this restaurant that are right. The service, the ambiance, the menu selections. There is one tragic flaw. The food lacks flavor. We started our dinner with the short rib bruschetta. Beautiful presentation, nice texture to the pulled rib meat - completely tasteless. I then had the onion soup, I requested no baked cheese, no crouton. The soup was hot, lots of onions, a mishmash of spice without any coherent theme. The rolls are wonderful. A mix of pretzel rolls and a creative, almost savory version of a cinnamon roll. The rolls were the best thing about the entire experience. For my entree, I chose one of the nightly specials - a prime rib stroganoff. The presentation was great. I love the dynamically tilted bowls. The pasta was perfect. The prime rib was overcooked but tender. The entire dish would have been memorable but for one element - no taste - completely devoid of any flavor. I have never had a stroganoff without some type of flavorful sauce or gravy. I had a nice glass of port for my dessert because nothing on the dessert menu looked creatively enticing. Such high hopes did I have for this establishment. I will return to try it again because every chef has an off-night but please Chef, infuse your food with taste!

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Lake Geneva. Eggs Benedict were okay, lacked flavor. BUT...the sauces you can try are very good! Cherry Bomb was definitely my favorite and with the stop!
