A large open dining room combined with a tin roof meant the noise level became untenable as the place filled. Couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. Room was also super air-conditioned so even with sweaters on, it was too cold to be comfortable. If you are short, don't choose a booth. They are designed for LARGE people.

I personally have only been to this establishment a couple dozen times, but when I drive by (I live in the area) it is often packed! Dining room and drive thru. The service has been fast and friendly, sometimes two or three people assisting me. The food has been good. They keep up with the new menu items from the franchise, such as Orange Julius options and the artisan sandwiches and salads. They have a lot of ice cream cakes in stock to chose from if you need one in a pinch. I selected one, had my message written on it and was out the door in fifteen minutes. if you like Dairy Queen, try this one!

Adventures Restaurant-Siren has the cozy ambience of a Northwoods Lodge and features a varied menu including everything from homemade soups to walleye and seafood. Our seasonal menues feature different ethnic cuisines and every Wednesday we have Mexican food with 1/2 price Margaritas and Thursdays there is an Italian menu with 1/2 price house wine. During warmer weather our pergola covered patio is a great place to enjoy a good meal or drinks with family and friends. The cold winter months are made warmer in front of our stone fireplace. Don't forget to ask about our Rewards Program for frequent diners!
Had to duck in to avoid rain and have lunch. Place to park a bicycle out of the rain was nice. Complete menu with daily specials and large Wisconsin beers. Good Wifi helps when waiting for rain to pass. Nice people here too...

We almost missed coming to the Chattering Squirrel because there is almost no signage for it. It's in the middle of a building with a kitchen accessories store on one end and general store on the other. Mostly, it's what appears to be a neat little coffee shop that also serves great sandwiches, wraps, soups, etc.
We had the Cranberry Chicken Salad Sandwiches and Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Soup. Both were excellent, the soup more so than then chicken salad. The sandwich was on a wonderful multi-grain bread but the chicken salad was more just chunks of chicken than anything. It had very little mayo or anything to hold it together, so the chicken pieces kept dropping onto my plate. Regardless of being a little dry for my taste, it was still good.
Service was good though you order at the register and they bring your food. It didn't take long for the food to arrive and the staff was very friendly. The Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Soup was the hit for me. They served it in a unique way, with a handful of popcorn on the plate that held the bowl and one kernel of popcorn on top of the soup. Nice touch!

had gift certificate and when we paid for our cold and long awaited breakfast we were told we could not get change for what we did not spend. Ended up having to gift server almost a $10 tip for a 415 breakfast.

Looking for something to eat at 900 on a Monday night, the waitress double checked and triple checked thst we could order meals. The bar itself could use a soild cleaning looking at the vents on the ceiling there was dust or dirt that I guess gives this place a musty smell. Food was average for a bar. We'll eat here again in a pinch.

We enjoy this bar primarily because it is friendly, clean, and welcoming. It always seems to be busy as locals and tourists know the food and service are predictably good. The menu is varied but our favorites are their sandwiches: burgers, etc. On rainy days, some of the fishermen go to town and hangout here, so prepared for a full parking lot on those days. You won't be disappointed here especially when it comes to a pleasing environment and good food.

Main Street was just reopened with new owners. We stopped in for our for breakfast as we occasionally do. The pancakes are still as big, BUT very plain and boring! They also, didn't have the biscuit and gray!

I know this sounds odd but we like going to small, local, bars when travelling. However, most regulars don't seem to want the tourists stopping by taking up their bar stools. Not this place...we were greeted by several regulars, served promptly, and had a great time. What started as a "let's get a quick drink" turned into two hours of great conversations and toasts to your "health". All this at 1 in the afternoon. Even won a 6-pack on the shake-of-the-day! We get to Siren a few times a year and will make sure we stop back in for a cocktail...or two.
