I have been eating here for 45 years or more and I still LOVE it. It is really the only good restaurant that has lasted in our town. I have never been disappointed by the food or the service. Their sourdough rolls are simple and delicious. I feel like you get what you pay for so needless to say it's not Little Caesar's Pizza. My husband & I usually order a large pizza (leftover pizza is always a good thing), a pitcher of beer and get out of there for $40 including tip. The service is on point and quick! The place is always busy!

The only reason they are being knocked down this time was the time wait very long and Chile cheese fries were not what they are normally. Anytime we get near "The Hat", anywhere, the family has to stop and either eat there or bring it back to Bakersfield for everyone. When leaving Simi Valley on Sunday, after a family birthday party on Saturday, we had to take "The Hat" food with us. We hung around until 10:45 a.m., they had been open since 10, so we thought we had waited enough time. We were the only one's in the drive through and didn't see any cars in the parking lot. We waited a long time to get our order, which in the last 10 plus years, I'm guessing we have never waited this long. We got back to Bakersfield and the Pastrami was great, don't know about the Turkey sandwich, and don't care, but the chili cheese fries were very different. Normally the chili and cheese cover the fries but this time it only seemed like it was on one side, not enough chili and cheese they normally give you. A little bummed this time but don't get me wrong we will be going back for sure, the pastrami is the best!! Onion rings excellent too, our daughter has to have them every time.

This place is alway busy but worth the wait.
Typical breakfast fair bacon and eggs with potatoes as well as sausage and omelets.
The greet you with a small piece of coffee cake made fresh in house when you first sit down.
Coffee is good and service is quick, efficient and friendly.

My daughter and I were in town staying at the Best Western Hotel on Madera Road on Sunday, July 30th. We called at 7:45 pm and ordered the Tri Tip Salad, Caesar Salad, Chicken Tenders and Shredded Onions. The order bill was 32.66 which made us eligible for delivery service. They told us no problem, we will text you when we arrive at hotel and we would meet in lobby.
Took about 40 mins and we received the text from their driver and we met him in the lobby. We prepaid for the food over the phone so we only had to tip our driver.
We took our bag of food to our hotel room and opened it up. All of our food we ordered with dipping sauces were there. Lo and behold, we found that there were no utensils nor napkins in the bag. Very strange we thought. When we order from other take out restaurants, utensils and napkins are automatically included. Of course, we don't travel with utensils, lol, so I called Reds back and told then they forgot to include utensils and napkins. Courtney, who took our order spoke with me and told me they have a policy that you have to "ask" for utensils and napkins. Really, I said to her!!! You asked us if we wanted dipping sauces and which kind but you didn't ask us if we needed utensils and napkins?? No she said, its policy that I, the person ordering has to ask her! Strange indeed. So I asked to speak with the manager. She put me on hold and Jamie, the Lead Manager came on the phone.
Jaime told me yes its their policy after 3 pm. If you place an order before 3 pm, you automatically receive utensils and napkins in your order with out asking. After 3 pm, you, the patron, has to ask for utensils and napkins. I asked, where on your website does this state this odd utensil and napkin policy? No where she said. I said to her, of course, if I read this, I most certainly would have asked for utensils and napkins!!!! I told her Courtney who took our order knew we were staying at the Best Western as hotel patrons. That is why we had to prepay for our food and that was ok. I stated to Jaime, that Courtney knowing we were hotel patrons asked us which kind of dipping sauces we wanted but failed to ask us if we wanted utensils and napkins, really???? Jaime still stated "well that is our policy after 3 pm, patrons have to ask"
Of course, Jaime nor Courtney never offered to redeliver us utensils nor napkins. Jaime was very adamant about this odd 3 pm policy Reds has on their delivery service. Does Reds really think we travel with utensils and napkins? Did they even wonder how we were going to eat our food knowing we were staying at the hotel?
We had to go to the front desk late that Sunday evening to get a fork. They didn't have napkins behind the desk. We had to make do with the towels in the room.
Being from Chicago, I have never ever had this experience with take out food!!! The order takers ALWAYS ask if we need utensils and napkins, especially knowing I am staying at a hotel!!! If I am going home to eat, of course, I don't need them, If I am staying in a hotel, listen up REDS..... YES, YES, I NEED UTENSILS AND NAPKINS!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad policy, bad customer service!!!!!! Hence, 3 stars. Remember take out patrons, after 3 pm.....ASK FOR UTENSILS AND NAPKINS!!!! OR TRAVEL WITH YOUR OWN!!!!

My daughter and I were visiting our cousin, who lives in Simi. She brought us to this best kept secret in Simi. It was so good the first time, we went back on our last night again in Simi!!!
Coming from Chicago, I know what good Italian food should taste like and portion sizes. This restaurant does not disappoint. Starting with bread and olive oil. We ordered some wine. Our food came with soup or salad. Our dinners were so delicious for all three of us!!! We couldn't finish it all and took some home.
Very great service, great food and nice size portions. Thats why we went back twice!!! We will be back next year, so save us a seat!!

After my last 1 star restaurant review, I am very happy to recommend 4 stars
Had the wish for a steak after visiting the Reagan Presidential Library, and decided on Barton's after reviewing TripAdvisor.
The only reason that I am not giving this 5 stars, is because the menu has changed both with some offerings and mostly prices. As an example, the 10 oz prime rib is now $30 ( not $28), and the 14 oz ribeye (I did not see a 10 oz choice offered) is now $35 ( not $29).
My steak was very tender and delicious, perfectly cooked. Accompaniments were the twice baked potato (was ok) and the spring greens side salad. Fresh bread was offered in advance.
Service was great, didn't have to asked for anything, such as refills, as my needs were well looked after.
Highly recommend Barton's

Greek House Cafe has never failed me in their service and quality. Their food has been authentic, top notch, Greek fare. I love their commitment to tradition. The gyro plate is always a great choice and they always have fresh baklava! But, don't be afraid to try something new anytime you're there
