Hummingbird Pastaria is a family-run rustic, no brow Italian trattoria serving fresh pasta rolled out daily, seasonal vegetables, and local hog, lamb, chicken and rabbit butchered in house.
Can't remember the last time we dined at Hummingbird Pastaria. And the last time we stopped here for lunch was probably a year ago. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Would have enjoyed sitting outside, but it was full. Our meal was superb, which made up for the spotty service. When our entrees were delivered, we asked for more bread. None forthcoming. When the waiter checked on us later, we asked again. His reply was "did you want the free bread?". He returned with one slice. We brought our own bottles of wine. Corking fee was $8 each, I believe. Fairly reasonable.

Chattanooga's most acclaimed restaurant, St. John's Restaurant serves inventive Regional American cuisine from Chef Daniel Lindley in a elegant, historic setting. St. John's superb staff will provide you with a warm and remarkable dining experience and delight you with an extensive and eclectic selection of wines.
We dined here for our Aniversary celebration and was not disappointed. All of our servers went out of their way to make this a special occasion for us. You really cannot go wrong on anything on the menu. All of our questions were answered and the recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed our dinner and the complimentary appetizer and glass of Prosecco was a nice touch. This is one of the few restaurants in Chattanooga that offers true fine dining.

Everything was tasty and amazing. I really recommend the turtle tart for anyone who lies chocolate, caramel, and pie. :D The coffee was perfectly roasted and the sandwiches we had for lunch were great too. My one complaint was the seating, there is very limited seating and they are very busy so on a cold and/or rainy day everyone is crammed inside. There's loads of outdoor seating so I would venture a guess to say on a nicer day it wouldn't have been so bad.
Also it's in a cute area. We walked through the Rivery Gallery for free afterwards, they have like 10 rooms full of art. Pretty nice way to spend the afternoon. It's close to the Hunter Museum of Art as well if you want to do a coffee and art day. Though if you do that start early cause the museum is huge.

Clumpies Ice Cream Co. has been handcrafting the best ice cream in Chattanooga since 1999. Stop by today to enjoy a scoop, fresh cup of Chattz coffee, or a fresh Pure Sodaworks fountain beverage!
Chattanooga has several specialty ice cream shops but in my opinion, Clumpy’s Ice Cream is by far the best. The ice cream is made in Chattanooga and has a wonderful creamy, smooth taste and texture. Most of their flavors are simple & traditional, like butter pecan. The ice cream is complete. You can’t add ingredients to the ice cream but you can add toppings. Sold by the weight of the ice cream with cup & cone options you absolutely get what you pay for!

The Bread Basket is located at the top of Signal Mtn. on Taft Hwy./Signal Mtn. Blvd. It is a well known, long time local bakery. They specialize in all kinds of cakes, breads, sweets and much more. They have another location in the East Brainerd area of Chattanooga which I also shop at as it is closer to my home.
I've been a customer of the Bread Basket for many years and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fresh and locally made breads and sweets for a fair price.

You kind find us here at lunch, after basketball practices, with friends, dinners with friends, etc. etc. etc. El Metate is our most frequented restaurant on Signal Mountain. The service is always good and fast. Good margaritas and outstanding fresh guacamole casero! Ask for Pedro as a server...he is one of the new guys and is simply outstanding with his service.

Yes this place is great. I love donuts, especially that gourmet kind.I came here for the first time after walking about the famous bridge. I had worked up an appetite for one of these sweet delights. I say one.. my friends and I ended up buying two dozen. We got all the different flavours. My favourite was the key lime pie and the coconut creme. I say my favourite.. these were the only two I tried as I Was super full after that and couldnt bring myself to taste anymore. If I am ever in Chattanooga again I will certainly go back to this place. I am now in search of another donut place just like this.
