You have died & gone to heaven...I send my friend a dozen from time to time, she s addicted to them, and who doesn't love them. Great cards, fine or fun jewelry, great local art, clothing that is very individual, you won't see yourself coming down the street in. Oh and don't forget..Ray Troll's incredible "must have" Alaskan t-shirts ! Even the locals have several, funny, different, like wearing fine art.

Sweet coffee shop with cool art in a repurposed church (which always makes me a little sad but that's me). I had a cappuccino that was very good. I am a snob having been to Italy last year. My husband had a mocha that was good--not too sweet. But the artwork was also something to see. Different local artists and very good diversity in styles and all prices. I really enjoyed. Staff was helpful and friendly. We also found out about the town gallery hop there that night that we were able to take advantage of.

Great cup of coffee and smoothie place, Cedar the owner is amazing and a wonderful pleasant genuine person. She tries to remember your name and mostly gets it after the second time there. She makes a great cup of coffee and always has a nice smile and warm greeting.

We are a neighborhood restaurant & oyster bar located in the heart of Seward, Alaska. The Cookery showcases the fisherman, the rancher and the farmer, the brewmaster and the winemaker, and of course, the magnificent oyster! Whether served ice cold on the half shell, or chargrilled and sizzling in garlic butter, The Cookery's oysters are the best you’ll ever have. Each day oyster farmers harvest, pack, and ship us the best oysters available. Our fresh, hand-shucked, locally farmed raised oysters are delivered daily within hours of harvesting. And it’s not just the oysters; we’re serving Chef Kevin Lane's personally created dishes, all seasoned to perfection and served with a smile. We will feature only the freshest seasonal ingredients from local sources. Chef Kevin Lane takes great joy in creating dishes that highlight the pantry that the sea and land provides! So, pull up a chair and soak up the flavor in our warm and comfortable dining room. Slurp an oy
This is a great neighborhood restaurant - locally owned, incorporating fresh local seasonal ingredients. The menu has limited items because it changes seasonally based on the availability of local fresh ingredients. The chef focuses on handcrafting each dish, which includes sourcing local handcrafted micro brewed beer on tap from Kenai. The oysters and scallops are harvested from farms in Homer (Jakoloff Bay). The broiled oysters with bacon, and the scallops fettuccine with smoked salmon and mushrooms were delicious. The cream cheese ice cream in the “cronut” dessert is a must have. Winter time is a good time to eat here. It’s much more laid back and service is better. This place gets really busy during the summer tourist season, as is the case with Seward.

This is far and away the best crepes we have ever had! And what a fun experience! Luckily we arrived at a time when it was not crowded (around 3 in the afternoon) so we could fully enjoy the owners as well as the delicious crepes. They were both exactly as advertised -- the crepe were very large and very tasty and the owners very engaging and droll (especially Yvon).
It's a spot not to be missed if you are in or near Seward. We only wish we were close to a fabulous restaurant such as this in California!

I grabbed a butter pecan ice cream here one night after dinner and ate it while wandering around the harbor. The ice cream was good, and the service was excellent!

Imagine cup of coffee for $3, glass of watery orange juice $3, stack of 5 pancakes $13, 3 egg omelette for $14. We shared the pancake , had 1 cup of coffee, one hot chocolate and 2 glasses of orange juice , bill was $26. Best to use coffee shop / bakery in front of harbor.

Stopped into Woody's for a quick lunch with the family while in Seward. I had tried several items. The cream cheese wontons were very good. Definitely tasted home made. I then had the fresh summer rolls. Generous portion, all fresh ingredients. Very good. I also had the Tom Khar soup. Very tasty and generous portion as well. Overall a good meal and very good Thai for a place like Seward, where I would not have expected to find such a place. My only criticism is that the prices were a bit high.
