We came here driving about 35 minutes based on the large number of positive ads, and in the interest of looking for some place different. Will definitely be back. Nice decor, clean, attentive staff, great food. Worth a considerable drive if looking for a quality Mexican Restaurant.

This Dunkin' Donuts is attached to a gas station and has very easy access on & off I-24. The coffee is good and there are fresh donuts to choose from. A perfect place to stop for gas for the car and fuel for you.

Stopped on the way through on I24. It was a great sandwich and had lots of options to choose from. There is also some locally made items for sale in the store.

We come here when we visit friends because it is across from the cemetery, which we always visit. It is good, reasonable, clean. Very nice and friendly staff. Don't be in a hurry when you go, though.

Built inside a 1929 mansion that presumably once was financed by Al Capone, the restaurant serves a menu of traditional gourmet dishes including Brie en Croute, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Black Thai Duck. The mansion that houses the restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and still features the original escape hatches and underground tunnels that were used by Capone to transfer liquor during the Prohibition Era. In 2001, High Point received the "Best Gourmet Meal in Tennessee" award from "Tennessee" magazine.
This place has an awesome atmosphere, an accommodating efficient staff, history, and overpriced food given the quality. There was 12 in our party and the staff did a good job with taking care of our needs.
I started with the pork belly over sautéed cabbage. This was actually the best part of my meal. It was flavorful and meaty. Next I had the ‘lobster’ bisque which was thin, little flavor, and at this type of place I expected a small bite of lobster to be hiding within.
My entree was the seafood platter, $45...it had what appeared to be a small warm water lobster tail as it was not sweet. There was coconut shrimp and a decent size scallop. Additionally a small thin dried-out, overlooked piece of salmon was present. The scallop flavor was dominated by a charcoal flavor from the grill. Overall a huge disappointment.
I tried my wife’s rib-eye, ordered medium-rate with emphasis on rare...came out medium. That was also the case for several others in the party. I question whether these steaks are truly aged as they did not have the texture of what I am accustomed to at steak house having this price point.
Their shrimp was a good size and cooked right. Those that had the Cajun shrimp went on about how good it was.
One other item of excellence, the grilled pound cake....the caramel is what put it over the top!!!
All and all, our party had a great time. I most likely will not revisit unless the group chooses to go again. If I do, I will not order seafood or steak....
In my opinion, the kitchen staff/servers/management need to take this type of review seriously and make the necessary adjustments. For example, my buddy received his bisque and salad at the same time, which was about ten minutes or so after I received my appetizer. Inexcusable to have charcoal taste dominating a flavor. It’s also inexcusable to overcook at least four steaks. My advice to them is to not become intoxicated by all of the gratuitous reviews...and be self critical.

What a surprise to discover destination dining, hidden away in the mists of Sewanee Mountain. The inventive, chef-driven menu features local farmers, foragers, and organics. BYOB. Seating from 5 to 9 PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
We spent 8 days in Tennessee, including Nashville and Chattanooga. Our dinner at IvyWild was by far the best meal we had. The restaurant was very attractive, the wine list was varied, with extremely reasonable prices and the servers were attentive and extraordinarily helpful without being obtrusive. However, the star of the show was the varied, extremely delicious food, which focused on unique preparations and local ingredients. Standouts were the portabella and pistachio baklava (we ended up ordering two, the first one was so delicious), the stuffed trout and shrimp and grits that our Tennessee cousin agreed would change her life. Even if you don't live in or near Sewanee, IvyWild is definitely worth the very scenic drive.

My wife and I went here on the advice of the hotel clerk. Very bad choice. The food was well below average. The waitress was very pushy and rude. The prices were much higher than the quality of food and service would indicate. Any fast...MoreRon, so sorry you didn't find our food or service up to your liking. We do the best we can every day and for every customer, but sometimes we fall short. We apologize. Thanks for coming in.

After a couple of year absence I had dinner at the Blue Chair Tavern last night and I was shocked. He beer remains good and the service was friendly. The food was awful. Wings were tasteless and the celery was limp. The grilled chicken sandwich was worse.... the tiny piece of chicken was tough as a boot. Probably won’t be back.
