For the first course we have Pemaquid Mussels with shallots, white wine, leek & chive cream, fine herbs and Maine Crab Cake with smoked paprika aioli, pickled red peppers, arugula. For the main course we both had Lavender Marinated Duck Breast with duck confit, braised radish, roasted cauliflower puree, melted leek. It was all served in a relax manner. The noise level was just enough so that it did not interfere with your conversation.

We have gone here the last few years while on vacation, at least 2 or 3 times during our stay. This store has a little bit of everything fishwise, but especially lobster and plenty to choose from.
You can't beat the freshness or the price. They will steam the lobsters and have them ready for you to pickup at the time you indicate. The chowda is also excellent!
The store is spotless - no indication that there is even fish being sold there.

Why would I go back here to Bayleys when I can go to the Dairy Corner and get three times the amount of my cone for the same price.....I wouldn't.

I was looking forward to finally visiting Holy Donut. I heard raves about this place. Unfortunately, I did not have a favorable experience.
As I asked descriptions about the eight donut varieties they had available, the gentlemen at the counter was gruff and even rolled his eyes. I was the only customer so I was taken back by his demeanor.
The Sea Salt Chocolate donut is good, the others were just ok. They tasted heavy and were fairly big.

There's literally nothing bad about this place. The food is scrumptious- not greasy. Lots for your money. Almost a pound of fried haddock (with fries and good slaw) for $9.99. Excellent fried clams. Service is fast and very friendly. Very clean and they seem to appreciate your business. Easy to get to from the Interstate (1 turn). Our "go to" place for fresh, inexpensive local seafood. They also have an excellent selection of fresh seafood to take home and they don't charge an arm and a leg for it (well, except the fresh picked lobstah meat). But it's worth EVERY penny and if you've ever picked lobster, you will understand.

Bayley's is the only place I go for lobster on my annual trip to Maine. Because of the crowds, I call in my order for take out. The lobster bisque is exceptional. The past couple of years I have been lazy and have been getting the lobster roll which has generous amounts of lobster meat, but from past experience I can recommend the steamed lobster too!

The Dairy Corner is a great place for the whole family to enjoy delicious Maine made ice cream! With over 70 hard serve flavors, many tasty yogurts, classic vanilla and chocolate twist, and a new soft serve flavor each week, The Dairy Corner is a favorite destination for everyone. Winding down a daytrip to Scarborough after lunch at The Rising Tide and shopping at Cabela’s and Haven’s Candies, we stopped at The Dairy Corner for some ice cream. We had a lot of company. After we eased into the last parking space, the lot...MoreHi Maurene, Thank you so much for your nice review! We really appreciate you taking the time! Robin Provencher

The Egg & I Scarborough, Maine breakfast restaurant offers gourmet coffee, 100% pure-squeezed orange juice and a variety of menu choices you will enjoy time and time again.
Commenting primarily on service: Want to give a 5 star rating to J. Stackpole our server. The menu had some deficits because of a high volume of customers, and our server had to do quite a bit of checking to see what was still available....MoreThanks for this awesome review. We are thrilled your server took such great care of you under the conditions you described. We strive to always do our best and provide an extraordinary breakfast. We hope to see you again soon.

Wow! If you want extra greasy, soggy food--this is the place to go. My small piece of haddock was 1/2 cooked---the waitress said she'd tell the cook--riiiight! The scallops (only 5) were grease bombs and dripping in grease. I had onion ring--they were warm, soggy and gross. The fries were ok but since they we in the bottom of the plates: they were crispy and only partially greasy.
I live nearby and will never go here again.
Ken's or the Clambake are a short distance away--go there!!!

The wait staff were accommodating to menu alterations. The food was served hot and fresh. I appreciate Mexican restaurants that provide complimentary chips and salsa - it is an appreciated touch.
