Southern New Orleans Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, including but not limited to: Gumbo, Fried Chicken (Tuesday Night), Po'Boys, Shrimp, Biscuits & Gravy, Soups & Salads. Dinner served Wednesday through Saturday including full beer and wine list. Beginets hot out of the fryer, or hand crafted breads and baked goods. Proudly Serving Intelligencia Coffees and Teas.
We stopped in at Rabalais on our way back to Ojai. Based on a friends recommendation, this was the place to go - and it didn't let us down.
My wife and I shared a bowl of Gumbo and a fried shrimp po-boy. Both were excellent, the sandwich was served with home made potato chips, although the bread left a little to desire. Finished the meal with N'orleans Coffee and Beignets. MAking their coffee is a first class show that has to be seen. The Beignets, although bigger than I am used to, were just perfect.

Eating at Vince's is like having my mother serve me breakfast. This is the real deal. Not fancy, but good food, good value and very reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and always serve with a smile. Try the Tattoo Shop burrito for a great breakfast choice. If you want to feel like one of the family, stop by.

During a family visit, a granddad brought home a box of assorted sweets for breakfast. What a collection of great choices: sprinkles, long johns, glazed donuts and apple fritters. I tried to have only 1/3 of a fritter, then it became a half and finally I polished it off completely. Excellent!

There is something about this Baskin Robbins that turns me off. It doesn't seem quite clean, both inside and out. Ice cream parlors should be special and this one is NOT.

A place where family, friends, and strangers (soon to become friends) gather to enjoy incredible food, great drink, traditional entertainment and honest conversation. We have a passion for people!
Swung in real quick for a cocktail while waiting for family that was shopping. Their service and cocktail mixing was fantastic, we ordered an Old Fashion and not many people make them where the whiskey is the main ingredient some times but this was perfect....MoreWe love hearing that our beloved patrons enjoyed themselves! We are definitely going back to our "oldies but goodies" and some good old mixology! Thanks for noticing and see you next time in town! Clint

This location is not really a Starbucks, as it is not a freestanding store. It's a stand located inside the local Von's supermarket, with no seating. Fare is however standard Starbucks.

It's in the Glen Tavern Inn.
Our go to spot for the best brushetta around, spectacular brussel sprouts appetizer, penne putanesca to die for and wonderful specials. Located in the historic Glen Tavern Inn, happy hour in the bar goes until 7. Jazz pianist plays Fri and Sat night. We eat here at least once a month. We spent a week in Italy and couldn't wait to come home and eat here.

Specialties Fresh, high-quality ingredients and talented staff create American and Mexican specialties. Our culinary staff constantly works to create new dishes from scratch - Merced's fish creations, Santiago's soups and Grandpa Hozy's chicken fried steak made from hand-pounded filet mignon. Our search for fresh, unique ingredients never ends: local abalone, locally grown tomatoes, Italian speck, Alaskan ice oysters and Australian lamb. We even dry age our own beef and a member of the Hozy's family bakes most of our breads. We have over 350 wine selections and Wine Spectator awarded us a 2-glass rating. Established in 1980. The Holzapfel family has been involved in the restaurant business since the early 1900s. Hozy's Grill keeps up the family tradition Grandpa Hozy started in the midwest. The restaurant is attached to the family's other business - Automotive Racing Products - which explains its location in an industrial park.
We have been enjoying the excellent cuisine from this establishment for many, many years. Fresh fish flown in from around the world. Prime rib to perfection in their special oven. Entrees fixed beyond compare in Ventura County. Service from professionals. A Wine selection that will compare to any restaurant clear to L.A. Deserts handmade.

Local favorite with awesome pizza, big salad bar and beers on tap. Thin, regular and deep dish style pizza crust. They roll dimples in the crust and dust with corn granules that make for a crispier crust. This place used to be a Round Table Pizza and the owner decided to leave the franchise after 10 plus years. Actually the ingredients are the same or better quality. Big enough for team parties of around 50 in the front and back rooms. The prices are fair for a nicely appointed sit down or carry out. They have a nice selection of sauces and specialty toppings. The salad bar has broccoli, spinach, hard boiled eggs, crushed bacon, which what I like. The lunch specials are around $8.50 for a personal pizza, small salad trip and soda, having a buy 5 lunch card with the 6th one free. I go about once or twice a month.

Used to be an autoshop in the 1940s-Mrs. Reese and family provide Santa Paula this affordable, delicious food with no surprises. This is the spot in our town for supper on Friday night, weekends. Lines out the door. Have a cold one and chips-salsa and relax in the bar or patio. Or come for a warming bowl of "Sopa: gallina"Chicken soup is a half-chicken simmered until tender. The best thing to have at any time. Hubby gets the La Cabana tostada, just enough and not huge. No waste here, portions are sensible.
