Good food, crowded by fast service, nice outdoor patio setting. Had the burrito and it was great. I was a little concerned because we were scheduled for a tour, but the server came right out, then food came quickly, and we finished in plenty of time.

The apricot turnovers are still the best around this area. I definitely recommend them along with the Cherry turnovers. I also bought the pumpkin raisin loaf bread to share for Thanksgiving. It was a hit.

Tasty coffee, pizzas and coffee a bit high, pleasant outdoor seating areas. Fun to have a place in San Juan Bautista to grab a gourmet coffee to go, but it does seem to be slightly overpriced like every other eating establishment in town. Still, it's a very pleasant stop, different in style from other restaurants there.

We started with fried calamari, and had I known how much was in that serving, that might have been dinner! But luckily I powered through to finish my garlicky shrimp and mashed potatoes. Oh, that sauce! Oh, the bread! The place was packed when we arrived on a Saturday night, and they don't stay open late, but it's amazing how many people were eating when we arrived.I think I'm going to have to have the same thing over and over again. I am sure the other food was good, but oh, that shrimp....

We stopped here after visiting the Mission and State Park, enticed by people walking around town with ice cream cones. First time enjoying Lappert's ice cream. It was hard to decide with so many flavors available. Daughter chose chocolate peanut butter and Kona coffee and I had a scoop of maple walnut and one of double chocolate. We were impressed by all four flavors - really good ice cream. And the service was friendly and welcoming. Margot's will be a regular stop whenever we visit the Mission from now on.

A small group of us met for dinner and had an enjoyable meal. Surprised at the high prices. The food and service were both good. Everyone enjoyed the meal but will probably look at the other Mexican restaurant a block or so down the street next time.

You know when you want to order a breakfast that makes you feel like you're still snuggled deep inside the most comfortable comforter and you want it to be decadent without being greasy, familiar without being boring? This is your place. Bring an extra stomach, because the servings are huge.

Stopped at J Js hoping the hamburgers would not be too horrible. Place was comfortable and the decor was inviting. I think the owner took our order. Not sure. He was polite as was everyone else there. We sat down and they brought out the...MoreWell thanks w lot

Great cafe style food, large portions and fast, excellent & friendly service. The menu must be different for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our menu said lunch on both sides and did not include any Italian dishes.
We stopped in here for lunch. Our party had the Crab melt sandwich, California burger (avocado & bacon), Philly Cheese Steak, Western Burger, Ruben. The crab sandwich is served openfaced, but with fixings to make a sandwhich out of it. The burgers come on a huge roll and the patty hangs out of the sides. The side order of french fries are hand cut country style fries and come unsalted - perfect!
But the sides of onion rings took center stage! They are large thick hand cut onions in a crunchy tempura style batter. Ask for a side of ranch dressing to dip them in - YUMMY! They are also unsalted, so you can salt to your taste!
Meals averaged $10 each. Bottomless iced tea is $2.50. Sodas get 1 free refill.
This is a great little gem in the Mission City!
