Since 1951, Casa Manana is The Gila Valley's oldest Landmark Mexican restaurant serving many generations of families & friends. Our founders, "Gabby" & Emma Gabaldon began using family recipes & creating some of her very own. With a humble beginning in the original red brick house, guests couldn't get enough of of their food. Many additions were made to accommodate the many families that passed on the "Casa Crave" to the next generation. Original cast iron skillets used to make the green chili meat are still used today. The famous beef is still slowly cooked all night long using only a few ingredients and then hand-shredded. From freshly smashed avocados for the guacamole, award winning salsa to dip the addictive mixture of corn and flour chips. You are sure to discover your favorite dish when you stop in. The Casa family is waiting for you.
We ate here while staying in town. Never - I repeat - never again. The service was ok, but we felt rushed the entire time we were here. I ordered a special chimi - but got - well who knows what it was, but definitely not what I ordered, and nothing good. We were both completely dissatisfied, and though we were in town for several days off and on for a week, we shuddered each time we passed this place.

This little bakery is the sweetest and friendliest ever. Feels and smells like you walked into a French Bakery. Croisants, fresh loaves of bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies all fresh and hot! Worth a day trip to visit, but get there before 8am or it's all gone! Thanks for the great review!

I love Dairy Queen's consistency. This one was no different. They have my favorite--m&m Blizzard, and also the newest offerings--while I was there it was the Jurrasic Smash Blizzard. HOWEVER, this one has two drive-up windows, and if you don't know that you will try to go to the first one and be an accident hazzard to the highway. Don't stop at the first window; go all the way around the building to the actual menu board and window. I wouldn't have know if someone didn't tell me. The cars that stop for the first window are going to cause a wreck.

My wife and I had lunch here with a friend. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Our friend had a sandwich, we each had a wrap. Everyone was pleased with their food and the service was good. We will definitely return to try some of the other interesting choices.

I am really surprised that this place is so highly rated. When I have eaten there lunch or dinner it's is so inconsistent. The food is really nothing above average. The decor is nice and the restaurant is clean. The staff at best is numb to really trying to give great service. They are at times really busy and your table can be forgotten about. You pay a premium price for average at best. Disappointing.

Restaurant is in need of a makeover, but had the best and largest ribeye in ages. Made three meals out of it.....☺ Sides...so/so.
Staff super friendly and attentive! Not sure what vineyard the wine was from, but not good......stick with beer or soda in our opinion.
Not bad for a rural town and a good steak.........

I was in Safford on business and found El Charro. I ordered the taco plate for lunch. The tacos were ok but nothing to rave about. Taco Bell would have been better. When I received my bill I was supprised that I was charged for beans and rice. I asked the waitress about it and was told that's standard. I asked what the menus states in comes with beans and rice but I am being charged extra for it. I was told becasue that's the way it is. I would not recommend El Charro to anyone since they have hidden charges and do not care what you think.

I hadn't been to Los Jilberto's in quite awhile, basically since I retired three years ago. Used to go there all the time when I worked in Safford. I was "in the neighborhood" last week and stopped by. I got my favorite item, a shrimp burrito and it was as good as always. Plus they have horchata to drink; not all the Mexican restaurants in the Gila Valley make it so that was a special treat.

We stopped by and tried their buffet. Some of the offerings were only luke warm, others were hot. Those luke warm ones were really not hot enough to be safe. The fried fish was mostly dough with little fish and the crab angels had mostly angle and very little crab filling. The place was clean and service was average. This was based on my tastes and on the day we ate there. YMMV.

We were here for lunch and it was busy. You have a choice of ordering from the menu or the buffet. We took the buffet. For a little more than $7, you have a choice of rice, noodles, chop suey (which is a rarity today because it is not authentic Chinese. It is made up for Americans and deemed not worthy), beef, chicken dishes, soups……just like any other Chinese buffet restaurant but this restaurant does it right. The fried noodles (rice and spaghetti) were lightly seasoned and they went well with the other vegetables and meat dishes which were seasoned a little bit more but not overpowered by grease, butter or salt. Soups were served from the kitchen and we had the hot and sour, good but on the sour side. There is desert too of course, Chinese donuts, cream filled puffs, almond and fortune cookies. We were glad we chanced upon this place on our drive up Mt. Graham.
