This was a gathering of friends and the evening was very nice. The rooms are a bit crowded and rather noisy but the food is good and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. We particularly enjoyed the appetizers and the wine list, which was varied and reasonably priced.

This is a great place for an outstanding brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Good selection that is more than ample with everything from standard breakfast items, salad, a few entre selections and deserts.
You just can’t go wrong and multiple trips to the food is encouraged.

Modern American cuisine..All fish served wild caught, never frozen.. All beef products grass fed . ( Piedmontese beef line from Nebraska.. All vegetable hand sourced from Exec chef Lucas Kyriakos..
My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday night and it was wonderful! From the atmosphere to the service and food, everything was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the chili nachos appetizer, which was enough for several to share. The salmon was expertly prepared with a nice brown crust and perfectly cooked interior. We even splurged on dessert and the tiramisu was absolutely worth it! We will definitely be returning soon!!

J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Blue potato chips & chocolate velvet cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy dinner for two or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner seven days a week, beginning at 4pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
We ate here again and they revised their 1/2 price wine on Mondays and now I will give this restaurant an EXCELLENT review. The food is awesome and the staff is professional and courteous. My favorite restaurant in Glastonbury.

We went for dinner. There was a wait--so we tried to get Margaritas from the bar. The bar was crowded, and it took lots of patience--but we finally got served. Drinks were ok but for unknown reasons, they do not serve frozen Margaritas--you have to have them on the rocks. Ok, but not my favorite. We were seated in the dining room. it was so noisy, I could hardly hear my friend speaking to me across the table. It was very hot, and then very cold. So the HVAC system has a problem which does not result in comfort for the customers. The food was ok but not very flavorful. Nice little spot, but the food and ambiance needs improvement to be better.

Get there early. This place fills up quickly with regular locals on Saturday. Seems like everybody knows each other there. The reason they are so popular is the very good food, great service and lightning fast kitchen. The meat lovers omelette is prepared pillow style with a nice portion of meats and cheese and is very good. The 12 grain toast is good and the coffee is great. The server was friendly and prompt. She also did the follow-up on the entree and round 2 on coffee.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday because I love hibachi! This restaurant is in a building built into a hill, so there is a small parking area up top (mostly for the flower shop next door) but the main parking is down the hill. We didn't know, so we entered through the "back" door. The main entrance is down the hill.
As we entered through the "back" door we saw the kitchen and a general use space, which was not very decorated. But as we entered the bar and seating area, it was gorgeous! Definitely a great date place.
As we got hibachi, we were in a room conjoined to the beautiful bar space. There are 2 full tables and 2 half tables. This area is in need of an update or fresh coat of paint, but overall clean. There was only one hibachi chef that night, so we had a little wait, but were given free edamame appetizers. Very good service, always refilling our water, etc.
Our chef came to our table and was in a great mood despite obviously working very hard. The food was delicious and I think we got the most food I have ever seen for the same price most hibachi restaurants charge. In fact, I think the chef may have been the owner. It was a very fun and delicious hibachi experience.
I will definitely be going back!

We offer generous portions of great food at reasonable prices and Nobody does pizza better than Joey Garlic's. We offer New Haven-style brick oven pizza, which has a crust similar to rustic peasant bread in texture and is cooked to a darker color which allows the toppings to blend together. The longer cooking time also allows the different ingredients to carmelize, bringing out their natural bold sweet or savory flavors. We top most of our pies with fresh-snipped fragrant basil and the finest extra virgin olive oil. If you prefer a less-baked pizza, just ask. Say "light-baked." The rest of our extensive menu features Salads, Starters, Pastas, Old School Grinders, old fashioned Hamburgers, giant Milkshakes, ice cream and even a kid's menu that is simple and appetizing for young appetites. Quantity and quality that will absolutely amaze you.
We have been driving by for a long time so today we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. We ordered two different gluten free pizzas and they were both delicious. I would say the best gluten free pizzas we have ever had in a restaurant. The place was packed, which shows that everyone had a good time. Will definitely go again.

I ordered the bison burger for the second time. It is by far the best burger I have ever tasted. Everything looked good on the menu. The prices are a little high, but it is well worth it.
