Whenever I make reservations at Kitchen House, I have to call and add extra seats to our reservations. Our adult children always want to join us! We all love the food and the staff and owner, Jen, are the best! The food never fails to be delicious, no matter what we order, and the service is exceptional too. Make reservations, as it does get busy.

On the Gilmore Car Museum campus. Limited menu and hours. Not wheelchair accessible as it's very small but outdoor seating is available. Good service. A/C was too cold. Generous portions. Average prices for tourist attraction. Chicken salad sandwich, peach pie a la mode and chili were yummy. Loved the historic look. Photobook shows how diner got there.

Canal Street Cafe is locally owned and operated. Our food is from scratch and we strive to use Michigan products. Our bar is fully stocked with Michigan micro brews on draught. (Which change all the time) Please check out our chalk board for the daily features. And Remember; at Canal Street Cafe: “We Eat, We Laugh, & We Eat Some More!” We would like to say, "THANK YOU" to our purveyors: Pease Farms (Climax) Albright Farms (Coldwater) Otto's Chicken (Middleville) Plainwell ice cream (Plainwell) Edison Elementary (Kalamazoo) Galesburg Meat Company (Galesburg)
Our first visit to this restaurant, a half hour drive from home. There was a special 5 course dinner, with a different wine for each course. Choices for main entree were walleye, filet of beef, lamb, and haddock. Dessert was a delightful chocolate mousse. Great and attentive service. We will be back.

Love their pasties! Friendly staff, and great prices. Nice to be able to get a fresh pastie without having to make a trip to the U.P!

North End Deli and Spirits (aka Neds) is at an excellent location, just across the road from the Prairieville Twp. public launch on the north end of Gull Lake. It provides a great place to stop at the end of a day on the water before heading home. The menu has some interesting choices, with a busy kitchen that bespeaks of a healthy clientele base. We've been there several times, and the food is good - nothing to complain about, nothing to get excited about. The service can be downright awful, with new staff learning on the job (we've all had a first job, but the training seems to be substandard) and surprisingly slow service.
We'll go back, but mainly because of the location.

"Downtown Kalamazoo next to Michigan News Agency, across the street from court house, a block from Radisson Hotel. Open for breakfast and lunch. Great homemade food and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Participates in the new "Passport Perks" program for Michigan motorists who show a Recreation Passport on their vehicle registration".
Everyone is so friendly here, and the food is wonderful and reasonably priced. I’d recommend the blueberry muffin pancakes or any of the omelettes. Burgers are great too for lunch. This is a smaller restaurant featuring local artwork, creating a really unique environment. If there is a wait for seating, you can browse at the Michigan News Agency next door, and someone will come and get you when your table is ready. This is truely our favorites breakfast spot in Kalamazoo!

This place was busy but we were greeted quickly, our order was taken and our meal was hot ready and on the table in no time by a friendly and service oriented waitress. We had the perch dinner and the fish was delicious and crispy. Had it with the mashed potatoes, nothing powdered here. Next time we are in the area we will include dinner at the Richland Pub.

A lovely treasure to see a natural setting that attracts birds and waterfowl! There is also some birds of prey that have been rehabilitated there to observe! The eagles are exciting to see up close! I've been there in different seasons and have always enjoyed the property!

Nice restaurant near Gull Lakeview Golf Club where a group of nine old friends met for three days of golf. Varied menu. Nice atmosphere of casual but upscale from chains. Good choice of wines and beer, including local craft beers. Seafood was excellent, steaks pretty good, and salads very good.

They were out of the corned beef, so I settled for the trash can potatoes, a conglomeration of vegetables, eggs, potatoes and breakfast meats, together with homemade cinnamon toast. She ordered one chocolate chip pancake. She said her pancake was perfect, and it was as I stole a small bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really didn't miss the corned beef as the trash can potatoes were even better than I remembered them. I highly recommend them. Now this is a local place, small and sometimes crowded, but the service is always good and with a big smile. Everything is fresh and delicious.....and tomorrow the corned beef!
