We stopped here on a whim and were very surprised. Quaint place and very cozy. Prices were reasonable and service was fast. The waitress was all alone with around 14 customers and did a superb job. Menu and specials were written on whiteboards (also menus) very retro. It seemed like a place that locals gathered and chatted. Great atmosphere with friendly people and very clean. Would return here again if passing by. Good eats.

I almost hate to tell anyone about this place. Its only about a mile from Glimmerglass, the great music / opera festival near Cooperstown. It's literally the front porch of the charmingly old-school clubhouse at Ostego Golf Course, one of the oldest public courses in America.
The setting is magical, looking down Otsego from the northern tip of the lake. You're on a wide, simply outfitted porch - a handful of tables and chairs, nicely shaded from the hot summer sun, but with nothing between you and the lake except an occasional stray foursome of golfers.
The menu is simplicity itself - a handful of sandwiches and salads, iced tea and lemonade served in mason jars. But the BLT! Enormous, mouth-watering local tomatoes, a warm multi-grain bread, thick-cut bacon. Heaven. The salad has grilled local peaches. Delicious. The staff is family, friendly and nice.
The perfect spot for a light lunch before a matinee at Glimmerglass. We eat here every time we come for the opera season, and sometimes every day that we're here.

This is the TripAdvisor page for the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard's Snack Barn Restaurant & Bakery ONLY. Search "Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard" for the main TripAdvisor site. The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard's foodservice outlet called the Snack Barn & Bakery is adjacent to the Mill in a restored barn. The menu includes fresh baked goods, soups, sandwiches, beverages and a full line of ice cream treats. The pulled pork BBQ, pot roast sandwich and soups or chili in a bread bowl are favorites to be enjoyed with a cider float or ice-cold cider slush. Here all the baking is done on-premise including all the Mill's pies, breads and cookies. You can tell when the ovens are in action from the wonderful aromas in the air. Freshly brewed coffee or hot spiced cider is a perfect accompaniment for a Cider Doughnut or a colossal cinnamon bun. Plenty of outside seating is available with additional tables on the boardwalk overlooking the Millpond. An inside seating counter is available for inclement weather.
As we left we stopped for a cone. There is too much to list available but there is something for everyone!

We stop here every year now for our Apple Cider. Better tasting than the cider at the tourist trap in Fly Creek. Some great cheese and donuts also.
Watch the cider being made while you wait for your gallon jug to be filled.
Never had a meal here, kind of sporadic with their meals.

My wife and I were coming from Glimmerglass State Park outside Cooperstown, NY, when we literally chanced upon this delightful little cafe. It's in the building behind the first building you see and you have to look closely for the sign, but it's worth it. First, they get just about everything from local farms and small businesses, including Stagecoach coffee from the village. We were there for lunch and I started with the house made tomato bisque which was quite good. What made this different from other bisques I've had was the lack of cream, which I found refreshing, enjoying the acidic taste of the tomato. I also chose to "make my own grilled cheese," for which use cheddar from a 75 year-old mom and pop grocery in Cooperstown. You choose from a long list of items to add to the sandwich, from bacon to sun-dried tomatoes to avocado. My wife had the Hyde Bay Club, built the way a club sandwich should be; 3 slices of toast. It is filled with ham, bacon, Swiss cheese and all the fixings. There are all kinds of things to drink (no alcohol) and we splurged and had homemade chocolate chip cookies to finis off our meal.
What impressed us most, however, was that everything was fresh and local. We were there on their second day open and I suspect that this place will get even better.

Out of town or locals, Jerry's has the BEST burgers in the area. We're local, so have tried every restaurant. Nobody else makes burger's (including a vegetarian version). Ask for fries, but the homemade chips are also really good. Prices reasonable. Friendly staff. Good ice cream.
We look forward to tourist season just to enjoy this burger experience. We try to get there at least once a week if we can. Below it asks about the pricing. Fair market value, and less expensive than some of the places in the village.

Great Little Pizzeria Restaurant Located In The Very Popular Village Of Cooperstown Ny Home To The Baseball Hall Of Fame...
We ate here while in town visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The pizza came out piping hot.... Light crispy crust, rich stretchy cheese, great pepperoni, and a sweet sauce. Yum!
Staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a good slice of ‘za!

Staff friendly and accomodating. I ordered two slices with mushrooms, onions and peppers. Crust was good and not overwhelming. Very little sauce, good amount of cheese, only green peppers and the peppers and onions were raw so they didn't marry at all with the pizza. Double the price for each slice, an awesome profit for the restaurant which was clean and welcoming.

We are a hip, family owned, coffee roastery and Cafe in Cooperstown, NY. We are open year round and pride ourselves on fresh, locally sourced foods and wonderful coffee drinks!
Stopped here for a quick lunch, very friendly staff, delicious sandwich, very pleasant surrounds. All in spite of some very irksome street construction ongoing right in front of the grill.

The look? Average Chinese take-out place. The food? Beyond delicious! Menu is typical, but it's cooked well and served with a smile! Very popular locally. Convenient location and affordable.
