"Espresso bar, gourmet sandwiches & salads, seasonal homemade soup, wine by the glass and specialty gifts".
This is my number one choice for coffee and lunch - an absolute must visit! The menu is made up of paninis, salads, and homemade soups along with featured seasonal specials. A lot of healthy, fresh options. The sandwiches are unique with exceptional flavor and the salads will make ANYONE love salads. This place has something for everyone. My personal favorite is the brie and apple panini. And don't forget to grab some coffee! They make an unbelievable sea salt and caramel latte. Coffee here always tastes great. And while you drink that heavenly liquid, make sure to check out the gift shop. A lot of fun, unique gifts. But what really makes this place special is the service. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. When I walk in the door I'm always greeted with warm welcome and a smile. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time and exceptional food and drink.

The Briar House is Rhinelander's longest established coffee shop with women's apparel and home goods. Whether you're visiting the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods or a local resident, The Briar House is your premiere coffee destination. Stop in for an eclectic shopping experience and let one of the baristas hand-craft your beverage with the finest ingredients.
I frequently stop a Briar House for a double espresso or a Capuccino. Though I have actually bought just a few things there, mostly for my wife but still can't resist looking at the eclectic assortment of clothes kitchen articles etc. The ladies are all very nice and are very helpful with most questions, Best to go in the summer when you can drink your coffee outside on the well appointed patio.

This place is cute as can be! I was visiting a friend who suggested Northern Coffee Haus for lunch. I don't drink coffee, but the food was delicious. I had the Chicken Pesto Panini (chicken breast, mozzarella, pesto spread, & spinach on a multi grain panini), which was fantastic! I love that their chicken breast is all-natural, free range, vegetarian fed, no injections, and no MSG. The pesto spread was delish (not over the top, but just the right amount of zing), and there was a nice amount of cheese and spinach to balance it out. I ate the whole thing! Super nice service, and free wifi. Although I don't know a thing about coffee, I highly recommend Northern Coffee Haus for lunch!

Chef Tom (CT) has been feeding the people of the Northwoods for over 20 years. This family-owned deli brings to Rhinelander scratch-made soups, salads, and the finest sandwiches. Chef Tom smokes his own brisket, pulled pork, and salmon for the sandwiches. Italian deli meats and scratch made deli salads are available by the pound. The cheese cooler carries a variety of Wisconsin cheeses in addition to other favorites. Visit the website for upcoming events like Beer and Wine nights, montly Fish Taco Night, Cooking Classses, Friday Night FUNdraisers and more. CT's has a full bar featuring a Bloody Mary menu with The Lunchbox --- a mega mary with over 16 garnishes!
We were having a couples lunch and decided to get some ribs and chicken wings both had been smoked. We heated them up as instructed. The date on one of the bags for wings was in October and one was dec. Both ribs and wings were not fresh, completely dried out, and way, way over smoked. I took one bite of each and couldn't eat either one. I was not happy and I did not call because i overheard chef tom in past telling a customer that her wings were just fine and not over cooked or dried out.and he and his assistant were eating them. He stood there and argued with the CUSTOMER.
Not appropriate, She is the CUSTOMER. Very, very disappointed with our lunch.

We make our pasties by hand in small batches 5 days a week using locally sourced meats and when available, organic veggies. We are in a small house converted into a commercial kitchen. We do not use any preservatives or hydrogenated oils. We sell all of our pasties frozen so you have an easy meal to make at home whenever you desire!
Great little place with outstanding pasties. Different specials are creative and delicious. You can get fresh hot or frozen to take home and warm up with provided instructions. Always a treat.

The Brick is a wonderfully cozy restaurant with a menu that varies from pizza and sandwiches to a beautifully plated entree of pasta, fish or meat. It is located in a northern Wisconsin vacation community. The chef bought this bar and restaurant that was in need of some love and good food and has turned it into a highly sought after dining experience complete with the required Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry!
We love/support the classic Wisconsin Supper Club, but have to say- when we want a meal that is a little off the normal fare we GO TO THE BRICK! Outstanding food. We recently took out-of-town family here the night before Thanksgiving and we ALL ordered the beef tips over spätzle... sounds ordinary?... oh, NO!... Not the way their co-owner/chef prepares this. Our guests are STILL talking about it.

With a name like Dinky Diner, we were a little concerned about our breakfast restaurant, especially when you see that it's located connected to a Shell gas station. But my concerns were unfounded. Dinky's is a very good breakfast spot. Good food with very friendly/fast...MoreWe sure appreciate your nice comment! Glad to hear that we overcame your concerns and that you enjoyed your visit!

Here at Casa Mexicana we specialize in providing great Mexican food and wonderful service combined with a delightful atmosphere. We have a wide range of options on our menu, which range from authentic mexican, vegetarian, seafood and gluten-free meals. Our number one priority is for the customers to leave with smiles on their face and a full stomach so if there is ever any problem we will do our best to fix them.
Very colorful spot with a noisy but fun vibe.
Offers standard Mexican fare. All ordered fajita salads. Served in standard fried bowl. Tasted ok but everyone in our party was served at different times. By the time the last person was served, everyone else was finished.
Ok for a quick lunch.

A fixture in Rhinelander for over 85 years. Always dependable, excellant fish and steaks . Open for B-L-and dinner.
We popped in for lunch randomly after shopping and had a perfect lunch! She had the French Dip-style special (perfect sturdy, chewy roll) and I had the open-faced Reuben (delicious!) --- both sooo happy with our choices! I don't know what to say about the banana cream pie besides the fact that it was the best I've ever had in my life! The crust was divine. The whole thing was, really.
Our server was so sweet & friendly...I can't wait until our next trip north!

The time before this visit, my wife and I had a truly wonderful meal with terrific service. This time we left, because we received no service. Picture this...we made reservations for 5:15 to beat the crowd that we knew would be there. We there and we told that we had to wait 20 minutes.....ok, no problem; that happens. 50 minutes later, we still had not been seated. My wife went to ask why, and when we could expect to be seated, as she was told that the table was being cleared off and would one ready in 10 minutes. It wasn't..15 minutes later we had not been contact with anymore info, and frankly, we were both ticked off and hungry. I called to the Rhinelander Cafe and Pub and was told to walk over and we'd be seated right away...and we were But this is the part that bothers me. We were approached my whoever the the boss was at the time, we told her we were leaving as well as why we were leaving. She commented was to the effect: you just don't know how restaurants operate. We did not argue. But we do know how restaurants are supposed to work. My grand parents owned one. My wife and I eat out frequently....we have NEVER had this problem...and it was clear to me that the boss really care whether we had a reservation,...or were hungry,....or were getting irritated. That was just the way restaurants work. Seems kind of pointless to make a reservation, doesn't it?
