Red Bud is just the cutest place I have ever been too, and the people are just as adorable, Opera House Bistro is home away from home, absolutely nothing was a problem, the staff were amazing, so professional and anything we wanted and needed was never a problem. We needed some space for meetings and were offered the quietest area. The food is just amazing the variety is great.

I attended Red Buds Solar Eclipse party in the park and was fortunate to buy a Schnickelfritz chocolate chip cookie. I have never before written a review about a cookie before but this cookie was one of the best of its type I have ever eaten. What sets it apart is that is not overloaded with chips and is loaded with a great tasting cookie dough. Very unique and not chocolatey. A sugary dough that made me buy more. I definitely will be back again.

The girls were wiping down the tables and all of them were wearing leggings. I look over and I can see right through the girls legging and can read the print on her butt. Leggings ARE NOT PANTS! Didn't appreciate seeing the girls in skin tight clothes.

4PM and no one in restaurant but loud mouthed men drinking beer at the bar. Only one person working so service was a little spotty. Food came in a reasonable time. Salads were fresh and crispy. Fried dill pickles were a bit salty. Entrees ranged from average to good. Baked potato was good, but steak was first undercooked and then was not on the tender side. Our other entrée, special of the day beef and mashed potatoes, was again too salty. Also strange that no rolls were offered or served with the meal. Hidden in a village neighborhood, this restaurant will have trouble drawing customers. Relatively new so maybe service and food will improve.

The Burnt End catered our daughter's wedding during the eclipse on 8/21/17. It was a simple and rustic wedding, and we chose a buffet to match. Beef brisket, baked beans, mac & cheese, potato salad, and several fruit crisps. Every dish was wonderful! Donna was so good to work with, and served our meal herself. She and her staff were very accommodating to this mother of the bride, and helped me through figuring things out. They packaged up the leftover food very nicely for me to take home at the end, and stayed longer than they had to. FIVE big stars all around for the food, the presentation, and the service. Thank you, Donna!

For an inexpensive meal that is classic American diner, this is great. Very good service. Their fried chicken special on Sunday will make think you're home with your mother. Excellent club sandwich, too. Small place so you're not lost in the crowd.

We love Mexican food. We were visiting a friend in a nearby town. This is the worst food ever. I asked for vegetarian plate they put meat in my burrito. When I brought it to there attention; they bought me back the same plate with meat juice and a bean burrito on it. :(

Not exactly the quality you get in say, Chicago or San Francisco but darn good for a rural area. Always fast, hot and fresh. In fact, we live the next town over and our food is still hot when we get home. Prices are okay, were better before the economy tanked, sooo...
No matter when you call in an order they say it will be ready in ten minutes and it always is. Atmposhere is kind of cold and sterile for eating in but superb for carry out.
We are frequent customers. Wish they had a drive thru. The lady who cashiers always seem grumpy, don't take it personally.

There isn't a better restaurant in or near Red Bud. I spend 2 weeks each summer in Red Bud ( ATA Grand) and eat at Susie's almost every other day. I know great food, I'm from San Francisco. My favorite is the fried chicken and any home made desert. Don't miss this place!

Authentic Mexican cuisine in McLeansboro IL.
The Mexican food is quite good and the prices reasonable. There is a wide selection of both Mexican and non-Mexican foods.
