This is one of those restaurants that doesn't put a lot of effort into décor and ambience because it doesn't have to. Their priority and focus is the food, as it should be. Radford was a stop on our way home and we felt like Italian food. Sal's came highly recommended by the hotel staff so we went and were glad we did. Service was excellent. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
Their Caprese Salad features heavily on their website and ads so we ordered one to share and loved it. Tasty, ripe tomatoes with creamy mozzarella and fresh basil, drizzled with olive oil. Delicious! We also ordered the Fried Calamari with Tomato Sauce to share. A generous portion of tender calamari coated in a crisp breading, with a nice marinara sauce on the side. Very good.
We shared a Veal Piccata with Linguine and decided it was one of the best we've had. Very tender veal with a lovely piccata sauce, velvety, lemony and delicious. Spouse had a nice cold Peroni to drink and I had a glass of Merlot. Staff was attentive during dinner but not intrusive.
Overall, an excellent dinner and when we drive by this area in future, Sal's will be the place to stop for dinner.

I've gotten cookies here on two occasions and both times was thrilled with them. I got a variety, my favorite is the macadamia nut, but everyone who tried them loved them all. Owner is very helpful, wrapped the boxes both times with Saran Wrap since I was going to be traveling. They are expensive but as another reviewer stated, it's worth it for the quality.

Love this BBQ chicken. The chicken as grilled on the truck and basted with a vinegar based sauce which makes the chicken finger licking good. You can see the smoke from the grill as you are getting close and there is usually a line. A great value for 1/2 a chicken, slaw and a slab of homemade bread.

This is located in an old garage put it is spotless. It is a huge local favorite. It is also very popular with law enforcement. The pizza is well made and cooked in a wood fired oven.

Don't expect atmosphere, expect well cooked, well seasoned, huge portions of incredible fresh food. They do accommodate various size portions and the price is right! You want authentic Hispanic cuisine, without the frills and decor this is your place! Daily specials are the bomb! Be adventurous, try Latino Taste! Best I've had since living in the Midwest!

We met friends here for dinner and had read the reviews on Trip Advisor. It was not busy when we arrived Thursday at 6pm and we were immediately seated. Our waitress came and got our drink orders and returned with a basket of homemade rolls. They were good and were served with butter and there was jam & jelly on the table too.
My husband chose the fried cod with mac n cheese and brown sugar dill carrots; I chose the crab cakes with brown sugar dill carrots and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were shaved and had carrots, bacon, onions and a vinaigrette added. We both enjoyed what we ordered and the sides were yummy! The tartar sauce served with our seafood was good too. Our friends ordered the hamburger steak with a salad and fries and the grilled chicken salad. Both liked what they ordered as well.
Portion size was big and we took some leftovers home. We all agreed that we would dine here again.
They serve breakfast all day and our friends said that they had eaten the breakfast items many times and it was all good.

I am craving The Greco today after eating at Sal's yesterday. I wish I was still in Radford and this is what I would certain select ... Again! Excellent five star dish. I will try something different next time I visit Attorney Covington.

Restaurant near Radford University. It was a happening place on Sunday night as the Spring semester starts. Lots of TVs. Good price margaritas. A food bar that served wings (saw lots of people getting their money worth). We got salads and they were all huge. Good selection of draft beer. Service was good but the hostess was the hardest working person in that restaurant. She was working her butt off. Hope the managers appreciate her!
