One of several branches of this chain.
On Sundays there are not many restaurants open in downtown Pontiac, but after eating here, it would be my choice if every restaurant were open. Charming atmoaphere and welcoming, attentive, helpful staff. The Asiago Chicken and Tuscan Lasagna were recommended. Wow! Absolutely delicious. Large portions for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Title says it all. Simple, unpretentious and hasn't changed in the 40 years of my memories. Serving entirely too rich (and probably entirely unhealthy if you ate it everyday) donuts that are simply the best you will find. I've traveled the world, but always come home to Pfaffs.

I love these small town diners because you can just order the breakfast that you want and not bother with the menu. Eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and the hash browns are done correctly.
Pontiac is a bit of a tourist town, but both locals and tourists eat at the Appletree in the morning.
Take a look at the pictures hung on the wall. They will give you incentive to get out on your own route 66 road trip as soon as you can.

Six of us had brunch (lunch but had eggs) in the back room. The food was excellently prepared. We had a very private meeting and they were very accommodative, friendly people. The venue is spotless and easily accessible even for ADA needs. Parking seems to be on the street only, but I would guess the grocery across the street would not mind overflow.
Very good variety on menu. Several of us had the omelets and others had the salads. A good variety of both and build your own omelet is available.
This seems to be a local hang out. But, we had some of their catering before, which is why we came here this time. The catered food was outstanding and they delivered 7 miles away. This is close to the square and easy to find.

From gelato, to panini caprese, to sweet potato fries, to wine and more, the owners turned this old Hardees into a trendy, fun, but casual restaurant. Good quality food makes for an enjoyable meal in a nice atmosphere. Their phone number is 815-419-3011. Located about 1.5 miles east of Interstate 55 at Pontiac, exit 197. Worth the stop!
Best ribs I have ever eaten and I'm from downtown Chicago .. oddly enough half slab is only an 8 on a one to ten scale but quarter slab is off the scale fantastic .

Baby Bull's Family Restaurant in Pontiac Illinois is located just off I-55 at Exit 197. Our food quality is better than ever. It is our promise to you - if it can be better it will be better. Our full menu provides something for everyone. Breakfast is a special treat with many choices available including Breakfast Skillets, Omelets, Biscuits and Gravy, Waffles, Pancakes, and Eggs to Order. At lunch try our Half-Pound Certified Black Angus Steak Burgers Topped with your favorites or a Black Angus Steak charbroiled to order, Pasta topped with Alfredo, Meat Sauce or Marinara. Greek Chicken and Pork Chops, Gyros. Fresh Salads, Club Sandwiches, Wraps, and Paninis are a great choice for a quick lunch. We have an affordable kid's menu for 12 and younger and a senior's menu for those over 60.
Ate dinner in restaurant (not bar). Comfortable atmosphere-homey, lots of families. Wonderful waitress. Checked on us several times to be sure we didn't need anything else. Extensive menu with some senior selections. Husband had senior lasagne plate with optional salad-ok but not the best Italian we've had. I had onion soup (salty, too much cheese) and the gyro sandwich (again, just ok). From reviews, there must be better choices on the menu. Wish we could go back and order something different so I could rate it higher. But definitely give it a try-salads and sandwiches looked good and lots of dessert selections.

We went to Pontiac Family Kitchen for a late lunch on Friday after visiting Pontiac RV. I had the Greek salad--the kalamata olives were mushy and it had huge chunks of feta cheese. They were so big my family thought they were chunks of chicken. My son had a cheeseburger and cheese fries. He said they were good. My husband had BLT Turkey ranch wrap. It was a large portion. He said it was ok. Meals were served with soup. Both the soups we tried were ok. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Stopped in Delongs for an early dinner. There were only a few tables occupied.
I ordered the Bourbon Ribeye. It was very good. However, my favorite part was my server - Tracy! She was friendly and personable. She and another server recommended the berry yogurt parfait for dessert. It was amazing. The cook even came out to ask me how my ribeye was.
The food is good, but the service is the star!

We took a little drive to visit Mario's based on the reviews we had read. The food was good, the service friendly and prompt, and the price was very reasonable. A little far for pizza, but it was a nice drive through the countryside.
