It's no wonder that the Pilgrims fell in love with America when they landed at gorgeous Plymouth, set in the calm waters of Plymouth Harbor along Cape Cod Bay. It was here that the first English colonists made war and then peace with the Natives, celebrating their newfound cooperation with the first Thanksgiving dinner. Visit the landmarks that honor this piece of American history, from Plymouth Rock to Mayflower II to Burial Hill. Or just enjoy the sandy beaches and calm sea breeze.

AMBIENCE & SEATING (Warning about seating)
======================================
o The place was packed, but they seated us quickly at a high-top with 4 bar stools. I mention this in case you have someone elderly who can't handle a barstool. I caught that there were regular tables, but it looked like lower table, lower stools - no backs on the chairs.

New Restaurant - seafood -excellent!!!!
This has become our "go to" restaurant. It has consistently good food, great service and large potions. One other item...GREAT PRICES. Example: Sea Food Fra Diavolo is $19. We've never had a bad meal here, and we've been going here since they opened, and continue to go at least once a month. Their 2 pound "Lazy Man's Lobster" is to die for. A bit pricy at $39. It has 2 pounds of lobster meat with scallops, shrimp and stuffed with crab meat.

And be prepared for large, all you can't eat it portions. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were large, fluffy, and loaded with blueberries that popped juice with every bite! The omelette was very large (of course!) and well seasoned. The blueberry muffin was, you guessed it, large with a large muffin top and tasted good. Service was quick and friendly but be prepared for a wait on Sunday mornings. It was 30 minutes from our home but well worth the trip!

We ate there in Sept. 2017. My wife got fried clams. Our son got fish and chips and I had baked scallops. My wife reported the the clams were fine and my son said the same about the fish and chips. By far I had the best meal. Scallops were so good. There were probably 20(?) on my plate. I know it only looks like a dozen or so in the pic but there were many more hiding under the fries. It was like I hit the jackpot with my meal. So many and so delicious. I gave 3-4 each to my wife and son and I still had plenty. We are from Ontario, Canada and buying scallops here is like buying gold so we don't have them often. I would eat them once a week if I lived near Wood's. I should have got the rice on the side instead of fries. Price was $15.95 USD which is about $20.50 CDN and very worth the money. We can get a scallop meal here for that much money but there would only be 8-9 scallops on your plate.

Walk over to the old "McGrath's" sitting on the waterfront just beyond the "round about" (rotary to Massachusetians ) at the harbor wharves. (Look for the town parking lot). East Bay Grill is a very popular spot with the locals... friends... young families .... seniors ... occasions... Great all around spot with very good eclectic menu l. from hamburgers to Cajon swordfish and char. Clean, efficient, well prepared food.... and busy!!

Lobster Hut, Seafood at its best.
Whenever we pass near Plymouth we try to include a stop at the Lobster Hut. Food is always fresh and nicely prepared.
You order at the counter and collect the food when your number is called. Everything is served on throwaway plates with plastic cutlery.
For the number of times that we have stopped there, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The place is immaculately clean, bright and airy with partial views of the harbor.
The best lobster rolls on the east coast with no fillers, just generous amounts of fresh lobster meat and mayonnaise.

We ad brunch here today. The blue eyed Bloody Mary was amazing, nice and spiced. The buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese is a large appetizer, more then enough for two. Service is good, they don’t rush you through your meal. We got here early so it wasn’t too crowded and we got a table right away.

My wife and I and her sister were visiting Plymouth at the end of December and having heard how great Mama Mia's was we decided to give it a try for dinner. From Now On This Is A Must Stop !!!!! The best pizza I have had in years. We shared this and the delicious home made bread that came with it. As we dined we watched the mouth watering Italian fare that was being served all around us and decided we will try this one again in a couple of weeks. Ghe pizza was absolutely perfect, It was half Pepperone and Half Cheese. Could not have been better. If you are an addict for Ityalian food. This is for you. Try this one soon.

You can't just throw a bunch of dry seasoning all over a plate and call it Greek food. The feta cheese on the appetizer mix plate had ZERO taste. The Grape Leaves were served hot and were so gooey they completely lost their form. It was an area of the plate that was just slop. The spanakopita had so much dill in it and was overcooked and just tasted like burnt grill. Our waitress was super nice but forgot our bill, then forgot to come get our card so we waited 20 minutes for her. I will say that the portions are huge, but what's the point when the food has no taste.

Welcome to Leen's Kitchen! We are excited to bring this farm to table concept to America's Hometown, Plymouth, MA! Please join us for a mealy will not soon forget.
Overall a very good Italian experience. The arancini were some of the best I have ever had! My lamb shank with mushroom risotto was huge- 2 adults could easily share. Personally, I‘d have preferred it with polenta or mashed potatoes to sop up the sauce but it was tasty. Not sure how Italian the chocolate lava cake with peanut butter cream is but it was decadently delicious. I thought the prices were on par with the quality of the food.
My only minor complaints were the service and the ambience. The service was a little slip-shod. When the waiter removed the oil for the bread, he sloshed it all over the floor, narrowly avoiding me! And he could have wiped the table down between courses when he saw there was food spilled on it. As to ambience, they are doing high level food but they have two TV’s on with sports! To me, that was not the right tone for a restaurant with gourmet aspirations.
But overall, I would return when in the area.
