Pittsburgh has been remade and reimagined. Think 24 miles of riverfront trails, beautiful parks and historic attractions. Home to 90 neighborhoods, the ‘Burgh feels authentic and unpretentious. No visit is complete without a trip to the Strip District or PNC Park, a ride up the Duquesne Incline or a stop at The Andy Warhol Museum. Architecture buffs love Pittsburgh for the amazing downtown buildings. Hollywood producers, do, too—the city has even been called the “Hollywood of the East."

Istanbul Sofra has a casual, fresh environment with paprika and cerulean walls, colorful menus and sparkly hanging Turkish mosaic light fixtures. Outdoor seating on busy Braddock Avenue also is available, weather permitting.
Eastern Mediterranean cuisine has been a favorite of mine for over forty years and Istanbul Sofra does not disappoint. First off, the moment that you walk in the door, you are treated politely and respectfully. It is impossible to not respond in kind. The menu, which is affordably priced, has typical mouthwatering fare from falafel, humus and babaganouse as appetizers to kabobs (either lamb or chicken), stuffed eggplant, or expertly prepared sea bass for an entre. While trying the delicious looking rice pudding is on my "to do" list, I haven't been able to resist their baklava (spoiler alert: plan to share it with your dinner companion because the portion is enormous). So if you, too, love Turkish cuisine or want a fantastic first time experience, what are you waiting for? You didn't want to cook at home tonight anyway!

Went to Gaucho for my mother's birthday. The food was excellent. I especially recommend the pork empanadas. Everyone really enjoyed their meals in our group of 4 and were stuffed. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We went at around 3:30 pm so the wait was not bad. The dining area was just a bit loud, making conversation difficult. A couple of pieces of my rib eye were slightly overdone beyond the medium I requested. Everything was still delicious though! Definitely worth going.

As Executive Chef & Partner of Altius, Jessica Gibson’s approach to contemporary American cuisine is refined and modern with a respect for the integrity and quality of her ingredient driven menu. Your first visit may be for the view, but you will return again and again to enjoy one of Pittsburgh’s premiere fine dining experiences.
Although the atmosphere is somewhat upscale, there is a very comfortable feel here. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable, but not at all intrusive. The view is spectacular from any table. AND THE FOOD!! I've been here 3 times with groups of four people, and every meal has been incredible, from the bread/butter selection, to the wonderful desserts. Appetizers and entrees are unique and imaginative, and cooked to perfection.

I've come to know Pamela's in the Strip as being a great and consistent breakfast spot before tackling the shopping for the day. Always busy and often a wait, it is definitely worth waiting for the usual 20 to 30 minutes. Known for their pancakes which are thin and almost crepe like, there are a number of other great offerings. From traditional and some not-so-traditional egg dishes and some nice lunch offerings. The service is fast and efficient and the servers always have outgoing personalities (they need to as there is such a high energy level in the place)! The hash browns are really good and the coffee always plentiful. This has become my family tradition when in town!
Please note, cash only but, the prices are reasonable and you get a great value!

Point Brugge cafe is the perfect place for a quick late night get together with friends. Located in a tree lined quiet neighborhood with street parking within walking distance. Every item on the menu is perfectly prepared and can be easily shared by 2 or 3 people. The cheese plate with a mediterranean inspired choice of variety of spreads, marinated olives and crusty bread. Start with a sublime whimsical cocktail "walk in the rain", citrusy, light and refreshing not too sweet. Nice selection of wines pair well with the menu. We ordered the moules with the garlic and white wine, so delicious with the warm crusty to dip in the broth. Followed by the braised spare rib poutine, was thoroughly enjoyed by both adults and teens. Can't wait to come back and try dessert.
A place that you can have interesting drinks and a delicious bite with friends served by a friendly attentive staff.

This restaurant was recommended to us. It is a smaller space and reservations are needed unless you go when they open at 5pm. This is the best Mexican food i have ever had!!!! The homemade tortillas are fantastic!!! Cheese fundido great. Go early and next time i will try the guacamole menu! Cant wait to visit another day.

Had a very enjoyable meal here. Thai/Asian cuisine. Most dishes involve noodles -- obviously. Mine came in a very flavorful curry with clams. My niece had the pad thai which included chicken. We also tried a few appetizers -- dumplings and I thing she had steamed buns with pork. Both were tasty. No reservation. Cash only. No phone. Gets very busy. But once you eat there you'll understand why.

I don't understand the few previous posters who disparaged the pizza. We ordered the Forest and it was so good. Delicate mushrooms, excellent cheese, amazing crust garnished with a balsamIc glaze. It was yummy. Nice service with an excellent selection of brews and wines. What is not to like? So happy we found this spot. Amazing Pizza.

I found the food to be OK. The homemade noodles were obviously the stars of the dish, but the flavors of most dishes were not significantly better than many lo mein and dim sum dishes that I have had at other Asian restaurants. One of the dishes was so spicy that it was practically inedible. I will return and give it another chance if in the area, but in no hurry to do so.
