This place is consistently classy, great food and service. We came for my mother’s birthday with our family and it was a great experience. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and always enjoy my meal. It is really nice that the owner walks around and greats his guests. Highly recommend for a special dinner.

We still mourn the loss of their full service restaurant in Pikesville. However, their little Mexican Grill spot just up the street is such a find.
After several visits, Mari Luna continues to serve excellent food people hungry for non-chain restaurant fare. No bland factory food here! The flavors of the dishes, the authentic colors of the sauces betrays the beating heart of a very fine Mexican restaurant hidden in a small space.
I don't know if it matters which dish you order, it will be served hot and full of authentic flavor to please those of us who have traveled to Mexico, Texas and New Mexico.
** The green tomatillo sauce is a flat out winner with that authentic New Mexico flavor and kick.

We went late, threeish. Very quiet time, service fast and pleasant, as always. Food is always good. I had spinach sweet crisp salad. I love it, and it's low in calories.

Stopped into the bar area for a quick bite. Extraordinarily mediocre. French fries looked like they came from a frozen food package. Limp and tasteless. Steak sandwich was awful and the only thing that imparted any taste was the sauce that accompanied it. Dining room food modestly better but not on par with many other excellent steak houses.

After a family event we decided to go out for dinner. 10 of us went to Dougie's BBQ for a kosher meal. We were met at the door and after a few short minutes we were seated at a table. The decor was fine but the service and food were better which is what counts at a restaurant. The chicken and beef were excellent. Everyone agreed we made a good choice. The place is pretty good and is on the ground floor of an office building. There is plenty of parking in the back.
The customers eating there were a mix of observant orthodox and BBQ lovers.

My wife and I decided to pass on cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and went to Citron. We had been there previously for a catered party. I had a first plate of gnocchi, which was excellent, and a filet for main course that was also good. My wife had an ordinary Caesar salad, and the special a Thanksgiving dinner, which was okay. The service was mediocre, even though the owner was hover8ng around the room most of the night. I was prepared for a large bill but it exceeded my expectations. It was the only thing that did.

Phenomenal chopped liver and salads. Pastrami and corned beef flavorful but a bit dry. Nice sandwich deal for 9.99 with chips and drink. Don't expect a mile high pile of meat at this price. Lots of good frozen entrees to go like stuffed cabbage and vegetable soup. Nice owners. Not inexpensive.
