We recently had a holiday dinner at Bellissimo and it was fantastic. We have eaten here often and the food and service are outstanding. The restaurant was packed and yet the staff treats everyone like you are the only person there. Great selection of food and specials. Highly recommend.

I didn't expect to have such a good meal in a nondescript strip mall restraint. Food was very good, service excellent and the room was comfortable but a bit loud (they could use some sound dampening). Also, prices were fair. Apps all tasty, salad comes with each dinner and main courses were all very good from Pasta Pest with Crabmeat and Tuna to Chicken Balsamico, and Cavatelli with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe.

Exposed brick adds charm to this small but charming authentic Italian restaurant.
Classic dishes plus some specials make the menu and food appealing.
We had Chicken Parm, spinach ravioli, Seafood Bianco and the fish special.
Everyone was pleased with their dishes along with the fried calamari and clams appetizers and desserts delicious.
If you can get there early the sunset menu is a fabulous deal.

What a pleasant stop on Westwood Ave. My friend and I stopped In. She tried the
ice cream (Black Raspberry Choc Chip), and I tried the chocolate (DARK of course).
They were both yummy...."We have to come back here BEFORE Lunch next time"
was my friend's comment.

We have lived in the Pearl River area for several years and have never gone to Louie's on the Avenue before...now we know what we have been missing. We had a wonderful experience here. The Service was excellent, the atmosphere is comfortable and homey with 4 separate and charmingly decorated rooms as well as a bar and outside patio! The food was excellent! Perfectly prepared, seasoned, and served lickety split! We will absolutely be back many times! Appetizers, 2 drinks each, dinner, and coffee about $110 with tip!

Delicious subs. When my mother-in-law was in the hospital, all she wanted was mozzarella from Casa del Sol. Best homemade fresh mozzarella cheese!! Service is always good.

Specifically, my daughter-in-law, to know what a gem this place is. She and my son flew in from Seattle, and after that first hot, fresh bagel straight off of the oven, she had me bring her back two more times. It's a consumer-friendly industrial experience, where you put on your plastic glove, and pick from bins and racks of the freshest, best tasting baked goods you ever ate. I've heard from many restaurants in the area that their breads, served next to their signature dishes, come from Rockland Bakery, and it's no Wonder (yes, pun intended!)
I plan on visiting more frequently, and not taking this wonderful place for granted any longer.

Truffles Truffles and More Truffles. This place is an institution. Must call months in advance or check for cancellations. We had Umbria Truffles in the risotto special and a Tomahawk veal chop topped with truffles. This place is a BYOB so we brought in a early vintage bottle of OPUS 1.
The meal, wine and service was fabulousa.
This place is not opulent but more rustic somewhat like a barn.

Hands down the best cup 'o joe from coast to coast. No fancy b.s. here, just simple decent coffee. I don't want to to spend my lunch money on a cup of coffee with nothing left over. DD still beats out the snooty-tooty competitors imho. Donuts are great if you can live with the sugar jolt, the muffins are always fresh and lovely (though the bagels are on the doughy side). There are budget and diet conscious nutrition selections as well, but in the end it is all about the coffee. Simple does it for me. If you prefer complicated there are lots of star-like places everywhere in which to waste your $
