This is a new find for us and we shall return --- often. And it's not far from the Florida's Turnpike Palm City exit. There is outside and inside seating. The service is quick and friendly. The food is tasty, well prepared, attractively presented and plentiful. The prices are very reasonable; in fact a bit low considering all the food you are served. The restaurant is very clean.
They are located in the shopping center at the corner of Martin Downs & High Meadow in a site vacated by the wine and beer bar that moved to Stuart. It's an attractive large room.

Genuine Nepalese and Indian Cuisine
The pricing for this Indian restaurant is three times more than any Indian restaurant I have ever been too. The proportion of food is very minimal for the price you’re paying. I went on a Friday night and the restaurant was pretty busy and they only had two waiters working. And one of the waiters also sat guests as they came in. Our food came out cold but the breads didn’t come out to 45 minutes later. You cannot eat Indian food without the bread. We are very disappointed with the service and the quality of food for the price we paid. There other Indian restaurants in Stuart that have better service better food and better pricing.

If you want fresh, unadulterated fish or seafood that is not dressed up in the plastic atmosphere of a chain, you've come to the right place. The New England Restaurant offers quality and value as well as honest true-to-its-roots fare. Run like a ship, the friendly, down-to-earth staff is like a tightly knit community that resembles the hardworking families of the northeast for whom fishing is not only their lifeline, but also their passion. New England Restaurant is a well-run operation that knows its product and doesn't stray from its intention to serve fresh, tasty seafood with pride and efficiency at a fair price.
I visited for lunch with friends who were very familiar with this restaurant and fish market.
When I entered I was presented with a wonderful seafood market. Various clams, fish, stone crabs, lobsters and shrimp to name a few.
I was impressed with the freshness displayed and know I will visit this market frequently to buy my seafood. I was told that they supply seafood to many restaurants in the area.
In the back is the restaurant with seating in booths and tables.
They had a $12 lunch special list with a wealth of options.
We started with a dozen cherry stone clams on the half shell - delicious and on sale for 59 cents each!
For our main courses 2 of us had the fried shrimp. Very light and very fresh. It was very, very good. I will probably get this next time I go.
One had grilled Tilapia which also was very good and fresh.
Last, I had the steamed seafood plate in a light buttered garlic sauce. I received a mound of mussels and cherry stone clams. More than enough for lunch and very good. I even took the bread they gave me to sop up the juice.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Service was fast, friendly and efficient.
Wonderful - I understand they have other locations as well.

Riverwalk Cafe and Oyster Bar is located in one of Stuart's most historic downtown buildings and is positively quaint. Riverwalk Cafe features over 120 selections of quality wine and over 50 available by the glass, the freshest seafood, USDA Prime Center Cut Steak and our fresh oyster raw bar.
The food was excellent and the bartender and staff made our visit a pleasure.
Attention to detail provided a relaxed elegance while keeping a comfortable pub atmosphere. Definitely a winner! Oh yes and the steamed mussels were enough to share with my husband as he enjoyed the Ahi tuna. Will return if in the area. Enjoyed an after dinner stroll in the renovated Old Downtown Stuart.

Casual meets Upscale. Local seafood, meats and vegetables prepared fresh daily. Fun and upbeat atmosphere with great hospitality
Starting with the positive, the food was excellent. Well-prepared and of obvious good quality. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and professional. It was a pleasure to sit down to the meal.
However.... given how popular and praised the Gafford is, my front-end experience was baffling. We arrived 6 minutes early for a 5 o'clock reservation mainly as a courtesy to the restaurant. The bar was full but the dining room was empty, although all of the tables were set. The host informed me that we couldn't be seated early. She told us "dining room opens at 5, that's out policy". Not "would you like to wait in the bar, would you like to look at the menu?" - just a curt - "that's our policy". Seriously. I am not kidding. It was rather like being at the DMV. The place was empty, the tables were ready and we had to stand in the entry area like idiots for EXACTLY 6 minutes. She stood at the podium and we stood in the way just... standing while the clock ticked down 6 minutes. Tick, tick, tick. Next stupid move - I asked if we could have a two-top that was not surrounded by tables that were set for big parties and was told that it had been requested by someone else and, therefore - no. Well, you guessed it, dear readers, after eating and settling up that little old table was still EMPTY. Whether because of a poorly trained staff person (unacceptable) or because the staff are rule-bound by policy and unable to make common-sense decisions on their own (not wise management), my experience just gaining entry to Gaffords was quite annoying. I am glad that I didn't have guests in tow for this visit - it would have been embarrassing.
I hate writing dunning reviews for a restaurant that otherwise was excellent, but the host makes the first impression and someone able to make customers feel welcome, while managing seating and flow is, IMO, important.

Private party room and catering available by special arrangement. Menu include salads, burgers, gourmet sandwiches, chops, fresh fish, steaks, prime rib, chops, kids meals and more. We hope to serve you soon!
We dined recently at Maneros Restaurant. We enjoyed the prime rib dinner. The service was exceptional and the newly remodeled rooms were pleasant. We will return. This establishment has been in the neighborhood for a long time and has a great reputation.

Enjoyed meal, but surprised with bill. $18.95 volcano fish dinner was $32.95. Waiter suggested a particular fish & we said sure. He did not mention the price difference & it was not listed on menu. 2 of 3 guests ordered this meal. May or may not have selected specialty fish, but staff should have told the price. Disappointed.
