This bakery is a true slice is the essence of Palisade. Don't visit without stopping in. The pasteurized are delicious and they now serve specialty coffee. Prices are inexpensive. They also make lunch sandwiches and sell loaves of fresh bread. If you have a special event, order a cake. There are many flavors to choose from. The Slice O Life will always be a special part of Palisade.

Nestled in the heart of Palisade, The Palisade Café 11.0 is a farm-to-table fresh Palisade eatery, offering local produce, wines, beers, and ciders, artfully prepared, in a relaxed, unpretentious cafe setting. Cuisine is "New American" while the house specialty is Authentic Spanish Paella (Thursdays only for now). A delightful Sunday Brunch is 10-3. Local artists' work adorns the walls, a local potter provides much of the dishware, the bakery next door is our source for breads and, and two major providers of our produce are 4 minutes away. Palisade wineries vinify all the noble varietals: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, etc. and The Palisade Cafe 11.0 is very proud to say we have ONLY local wines on our list! Cherries start arriving mid-June and the peach season runs until October, to round out our tasty offerings, so please join us today! Thank you very much!..John & Marti
After reading a few reviews, we stopped in with high expectations...and got blown away. We had wonderful crafted bar drinks, perfect local wine, served up in a fun atmosphere, with excellent live acoustic music. And then...some superbly planned and executed pieces of culinary wonderfulness. I'm disappointed we'd eaten and only tried the Ahi and the St Pat's Day "Black & Tan" potato appetizer. Both were so well thought out, one could see the staff plotting over and over just how to tweak some detail. BOMB! Don't miss it.

This is the busiest food place in Palisade. Best pizza and sandwiches around. Also serve salads. Now have breakfast with coffees, teas and delicious chai. John makes a delicious morning muffin, if you get there early enough! Smoothies too. Thank goodness we have DiOrios in Palisade!

Nicest restaurant in town. Great service and fresh in season food prepared all the right ways and good drinks too. We had Thai coconut green curry and Yakisoba. We're both Gluten Free and zero issues here - everything is fresh as can be with server acknowledging our dietary restriction. As good as anything I have had in Asia, NY, LA, Seattle or Chicago. Absolutely delicious. We ate outside and enjoyed the ambiance of a quaint downtown which was a nice break from all the busy mountain towns during ski season.
Limited hours but well worth it so make a rez.

This place is crowded all the time! We decided to get carry out and it was fantastic! We ordered the pulled pork and the brisket sandwich. I really liked the pulled pork because of the BBQ flavor and lower fat content. My hubby loved the brisket and does not care about fat content! I highly recommend you arrive early or get carry out.

Lunch: Realizing our traveling guests don't always have exact schedules, our culinary staff is ready to serve "from scratch" soups, salads, sandwiches and other fresh, tasty and good-for-you selections, which are welcome treats after fast foods on the road. Specials change daily, depending on availability of local foods. Lunch is served daily from 11 am-2pm. Dinner: Tapestry Lounge features signature cocktails, wine and beer along with small plates and an informal menu. Hours vary based upon occupancy. May-September 5pm-10 pm, October-April 5pm-9pm
Very good food but not exceptional. Nice setting but they need additional space for seating guests. Service was acceptable with courteous staff. We also had the free breakfast in the morning which was self service with breakfast buffet. Most people had to set outside due to lack of dining space/seating. So, get there early.

Relaxed atmosphere, in "downtown" Palisade facing the RR tracks and the Grand Mesa. By relaxed I mean "no Dockers allowed" jeans and shorts watering hole.
Friendly, knowledgeable bar staff.
We were there strictly for liquid entertainment and adult conversation. We didn't ask about a food menu.
Libations are all based upon on-premise distilled spirits. The ir version of a Mojito was my favorite, beating out the Moscow Mule and Margarita.

A more formal Victorian dining room, Caroline's, focuses on fresh Colorado foods such as lamb, beef, game and seasonal, fresh, local produce prepared in the classic French tradition. Spring/Summer Hours Sunday-Thursday, 5pm-9pm, Friday-Saturday, 5pm-10pm. Fall/Winter Hours Thursday-Sunday, 5pm-9pm. Reservations required.
being a vegetarian and not finding anything to eat in palisade proper - we resorted to the hotel's restaurant and its one vegetarian offering - turned out to be a very tasty treat indeed - on a different night we ordered the flowerless chocolate torte as we were rocking on the porch - wowza yowza - yummy indeed

We are a Family Friendly Sports Bar & Grill! We always have sports on our many TVs, while offering great American style food. We have a full bar to enjoy all your favorite beverages. We also carry the NFL Sunday Package, so you can enjoy your favorite team not matter who they are!
Stopped to eat lunch with family because it was not far from the local Care Center. For such a little town, the food was superb.Hamburgers and french fries were wonderful and best onion rings I have had in a long while. Visited in early May so not as busy as I imagine it is in summer season but worth checking out. Excellent staff who helped with one of family who was in wheelchair. Definitely a sports bar with tv's with every channel imaginable. Would eat here again if ever in the area!

I will have to write a second review once they start serving food - the menu sounds French focused and exciting - think moules mariniere, charcuterie plates and the like. French bistro. And - I hear, also some Viennese and Mediterranean foods, but, we have to wait a little longer.
This spot is right downtown in Palisade. There is a large open dining/drinking area and an inviting bar. They serve both the Forbidden Fruit ciders and a selection of Varaison (their parent vineyard) wines.
There is also a lovely patio facing Third Street (which is one of two really main streets in town) and a large parking lot.
This is a fun place to meet your friends and hang out. I can't wait until food is served, as well!
