First I would mention it is NOT vegetarian friendly, unless you want a morningstar farm burger or a unhealthy iceberg salad. Usually carribean food is very vegetarian friendly and flavorful. I had them tweak their rice dish and remove the meat. It was bland with no flavor, just white rice and the vegetables that they overcharged me for adding in place of the meat they removed. Even with the hot sauce it was simply ok. I have not lived in Paducah in many years and chose this one based on reviews. Not sure who is giving the reviews as no one in our party would ever consider returning. Overcooked chicken, dry sandwich, greasy fries that we had to soak up oil with napkin before attempting to eat. Then we were constantly ignored by wait staff who were too busy gossiping at hostess stand. Were told by locals they do have good cake, so we got it to go, finally received it after waiting 20 minutes. Would say it was just whatever maybe below average at best. Too many actual good restaurants in town to ever go back.

Visiting family in Paducah close to downtown. This little breakfast/lunch place was an interesting experience. I had the western omelet, covered in nacho cheese and my husband had the bacon omelet covered in Hollandaise sauce. Both were excellent. The hash browns were like your mama used to make back in the 50’s and they serve cat head biscuits. There was also a wide range of other egg dishes, pancakes and waffles on the menu. All in all a great way to start the day. There may be a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it. My only reservation was that the food was served a little lukewarm as opposed to hot. That may be because the kitchen staff appeared to be limited to one cook, and the restaurant was quite busy.

Loved this little restaurant, After being away from Paducah for more than 14 years I was very happy to see how many real options have sprung up in the downtown area. This one however had live music, heated patio, great drinks, awesome menu with food for everyone. Even this self proclaimed foodie, LOVED it! We hesitated when we walked into the restaurant and found it empty on a Saturday night ( 8:30ish)...we soon found the crowd was on the cozy patio with music. Friendly service and a strong Cosmo will make this my go to place when I return home. Forgot to mention VERY reasonable pricing.

We sat at the bar and were greeted by both bartenders. Both super happy to be there and knowledgeable about every aspect of our experience. Their recommendations showcasing some key talents of the chefs.
Starting with a spicy pickle juice dirty martini, to the wine the. Onto the menu our experience was great.
Too cold to sit outside they have a dog friendly spacious patio which would have been a great add.
The freshly butchered lamb with pasta dish served also as a half order is a smart offering by Executive chef and owner Sara Bradley. Wildly creative, the fresh avocado salad was delicious and unexpected flavors came together for a fresh bite. The fish dip with a spin was also delish, another recommendation by our bar staff.
Finally, the nutty texture of the pea cake lovingly wrapped in a lemony buttercream icing was a perfect end to a perfect meal.
My only regret was not being able to taste the pork loin, the shrimp and grits and the Brussel sprouts, items I will be sure to return for.
The atmosphere is casual at the bar where we were able to watch some basketball. The rest of the dining area is open concept and full of happy chatter from customers.
Shout out to JP, Josh, Alicia

A snowstorm closed Paducah. No reservation needed this particular evening. The snow provided a beautiful backdrop- we were greeted warmly. Our window table provided a perfect view of the snow covered park. My wife and I shared the 2 pond bone in rib eye. The steak was prepared to perfection. Service was responsive and friendly.

This was our favorite place to get a steak, no more. We went a little after noon for lunch. Noticed it was not as clean as normal, buss person standing at peanut barrel eating peanuts. Service was slow, had a long wait for our food and when it got there it was cold. The feeling was no longer inviting but more like we wish you would leave. A change like this is normally caused by a bad change in management. We won't be back.

Paducah Beer Werks

Located downtown in the historic Greyhound Bus Station, Paducah Beer Werks opened its doors in March 2015. PBW boasts four regular brews-including the 2015 GABF Bronze Medal winning Pale Ale and 2015 Alltech Commonwealth Cup Silver Medal winning Irish Red-as well as crowd-pleasing small batches like Cherry Porter, Golden Ale, Orange Blossom Special (orange honey wheat), and Blueberry Ale. Guest taps rotate weekly, offering a taste of other Kentucky breweries, as well as new and established craft breweries from around the country. The pub side also features a dynamic menu with something to please everyone's tastes. Regular performances by local and touring bands (plus a comedy night and open mic night) give additional flavor to the location.

Previous positive reviews set my expectations high. Unfortunately, based on my experience and visits to many other brewpubs throughout the country, I found Paducah Brew Werks to be quite unremarkable. The highly touted pizza is ok, but very thin and quite average. The pale ale and robust porter is "unrobust" and common for my taste. Waitstaff service was polite and attentive. Pepperoni chips were unique and tasty, but is an app that I could only enjoy in small quantities. It is cool that PBW is located inside the old Greyhound bus station, but the atmosphere inside does not have a characteristic Brewpub feel. Personally, the atmosphere is more like a cafeteria and does not appeal to me.
