We were quite surprised at what we found in this quiet gem. It looked like nothing special from the outside, and the decor was cute but not elegant. I kind of liked the simple and somewhat outdated decor.
The food was delicious and service was excellent! It was hot and fresh. Delicious sauces, warm and well seasoned breads. The calzone was oozing with cheese!
I only give it 4 out of 5 because the pasta isn’t homemade which was ok, but the meatballs were pre-made. Disappointing to say the least. You know. Those perfectly round, too firm and lacking flavor type of meatballs?
We were well taken care of as far as service goes.
Thanks for a great food experience. Perhaps the meatballs will be improved by the time we come they next time!

Coffee, espresso based drinks, smoothies, breakfast items, sandwich/salads - Beer and wine
I don't know who does the interior decorating for this company but they have a great and ingenious talent. Must be the same person who decides on what coffee to sell in their various locations because it's the best in the area. None of that "liquid candy in a cup" that you can get from the larger chains that seem to be popping up all over this corner of the valley - this is REAL coffee! Thank you!

Hi gang,
Last nite in Ontario and I've got a hankerin' for Mexican food. Checking my trustworthy TA reviews I wanted to try Fiesta Guadalajara. I drove there (old town buildings, awesome history) and placed an order to go. I chose combo plate #30 (2 chick enchiladas w/beans & rice). Less than $12 is a good price for this quality of food. Included in my order was a paper lunch bag 1/3 full of freshly made chips. So much goodness, I couldn't finish it all without gorging myself.
If ever in Ontario again I wouldn't hesitate to make Fiesta Guadalajara my first stop.

There were 2 cars ahead of us so the little gal came out and took our order, when we got to the window our coffee was all ready to go! I was impressed!

Traveling through Ontario and decided to give Mackey's a try. Doesn't look like much from the outside but lots of cars out front. Pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. So happy we tried the prime rib along with the colcannon potatoes as suggested. Wowza! Extensive wine and beer offerings also

I hadn't been here in several months and it was the most crowded I've ever seen, even after 1pm on a Monday. The wait was longer than usual, but the authentic open faced tacos were worth it. The family that owns and operates this restaurant always makes sure that your order is properly prepared & uses only the finest fresh ingredients. Their food always tastes great and the prices are the most reasonable in town. No wonder there is always a long line and their customers are willing to wait for the reward.

This is my favorite place in Ontario for coffee, they are the only coffee place that has a 32oz. iced coffee. Prices are good, especially in comparison to other coffee places and they have a huge variety of drinks you can order. Often there is a new younger person working but on most week days they have a committed staff, who if you go in a couple of times, remember your order. There is often a line and for good reason, it's got great coffee. Tip - if you see a large line through drive thru, go inside. There is often hardly anyone inside.

Casual dining. Featuring local brews, wines & spirits. Great hand-cut northwest steaks & prime rib nightly. Char-broiled burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options.
At the best of times, the food is average. I travel to Ontario a lot, and with the limited number of places to have dinner and a glass of wine, Brewsky's ends up on the rotation a bit.
I travel alone, so I sit in the bar. There are a lot of tables in there, so it is good for groups of friends. The service in there is awful. The servers either hate their jobs, or have just chosen the wrong career. 16 weeks and as many dinners there and it's always the same. This week I was in there for 15 minutes before she even came to my table. She left her personality at home. I have not eaten in the dining room, perhaps the better servers get the better gig.
Generally the food is ok. This week I did the Crispy Pork Tacos, with house made salsa. Don't know why I ordered tacos from a non-Mexican restaurant, dumb huh?! Except that I like wine with my dinner and thats generally not an option at authentic spots.
There ended up being 2-3 tablespoons of oil in the bottom of the basket... dripping from the tacos. See pic from taco #1. The meat just tasted like mushy shredded pork, no "taco" seasoning apparent.
The "house made salsa" seemed more like blended stewed tomatoes...no heat at all and not "fresh" tasting.
A co-worker says she goes for the steak, that they are really good. There are 2 other amazing steak places in town, so I haven't tried theirs.
