Surprise! The best Tamales in Fayette County.....yes, they have excellent barbeque and a Lon list of yummy deli sandwiches, home made desserts, etc. Picnic tables for outside eating if the weather is nice, but take out is their forte. They also have an extensive selection of old time soda pop (like Sarsaparilla, Nehi Grape and Orange, Dad'sRoot Beer, etc).
I missed out on these goodies for a long time because I erroneously assumed they had nothing but Baked Goods LOL!

What a wonderful date night dinner with my beloved.
It doesn't get any better than a night out with your beloved. Starting out at Raven and Lily's in Oakland with a Fried Chicken, Potato Fondant, House Slaw, and Chicken Jus for Judy. This was prepared to perfection
For me it was Seared Scallops, Lump Crab, House Cured Bacon, Corn and Onion Risotto, and Lemon basil Butter. It was all simply divine. And there was a large portion of it.
Our server, Abbi was the ultimate professional, courteous and helpful and cheery.

We met our kids there for a late lunch on our way in from Nashville. It was very clean and our server very nice and attentive. Our orders arrived quickly. I had the four enchiladas, beans and rice. My husband had the potato topped with shrimp, chicken, steak and white sauce. Both dishes were delicious!

We were out in the area for picking up some glasses but ended up at Street Tacos for a late lunch! This place was amazing! The food came out quickly and was very high quality. We had the Street Rice; Street Corn; Carbon; Tamale; Shrimp Quesadilla; and Chicken Quesadilla! Seriously...EVERYTHING was incredible! The Street rice was super good! The Carbon was so scrumptious with the mild sauce! My favorite was the pork taco! We will be back for sure!

Texas Margarita wasn't smooth, for some reason.
Menu goes on forever ~ every conceivable combination.
I was in the mood for a simple Taco Salad ($5.25) with chicken ~ a good value & just the right amount for Lunch. Oval-shaped shell was fresh & crispy. Chicken was shredded & juicy, as it should be. Cubed chicken out of a bag would have automatically taken off -1*.
Server was slow all 4 times I needed him, even though there were only a few tables & another Server.

Large attractive Dining Room designed to seat lots of families/groups.
Opened in 1977 when it was trendy to put "Pizza" & "Steak" in the name, Olympic became an instant hit, I would guess. But it has evolved into several menu pages offering many more choices.
Salad Bar was fresh & immaculate. Soup was Old Fashioned Vegetable.
After the Lunch Rush, with only a handful of Diners, my House Special Pizza came out in 15 minutes. It was thick crust with ample ingredients evenly distributed, not doused in sauce.
Manager & Employees were quietly moving & working. No one was on a cell phone or broadcasting personal issues. Good to see & (not) hear.

This McDonald’s does a ton of business! (2) Busy Drive-Thru Lanes & (3) Windows.
Interesting that an Employee must carry orders through the Dining Room to the Front Corner Window, but I guess that’s the Long-Wait Window so it’s not used all the time.
Floor needed sweeping where straw cover pieces were littered. Don’t know why people can’t drop those into the trash hole in the countertop instead?
Manager was actively supervising the assembly line in the Kitchen, they were all business.
Modern design includes a very useful Play Place. Yes, it’s a Happy Place for kids!

stopped by on the way to an appointment for a quick bite. Even though it was after 5:00, there was only one other customer. We seated ourselves and had a pleasant, friendly server. As we left more than 30 minutes later only one other couple had arrived - and this was dinnertime. The barbecue was good - but a little bit dry. I had onion rings and they weren't quite crispy - could have been fried just a bit longer. The dinner was average for a bbq restaurant in W.TN. If I'm in Oakland again, I might stop at Brad's,

It is Pizza, What else is there to say, Just kidding this pizza is fresh-hot-and great, if you pick it up. Delivery depends on you and what time and day you order it. Don't be stupid and order it at 6 P.M. on Friday or Saturday and expect to get it in 30 minutes is probably not is going to happen, it will take an hour to one and a half and it will usually be only warm and possibly soggy. Order it online 3 hours early for a later time to be delivered and you will get a hot-fresh pizza. No I have no interest t in Domino's I just know what you will get not only from here but any pizza shop in this area. sorry but it is true, so you order early online, order for pickup or just eat whatever you get.
