Stopped in based on local recommendations. Wasn’t our day to come.
One of our group ordered clam strips. Sorry. No clam strips.
No problem. Come round to another. I’ll have the oysters. Sorry. No oysters.
Ok, then the frog legs. Let me check on that. Sorry. No frog legs.
Cheese grits are terrible. Skip them. All the seafood (what they had) was good. Cod, flounder (both fried) and the shrimp (all you can eat Saturday) were all good.
Service was a slow kitchen, but friendly staff. They are in need of training. Not a single one pre-buses tables and heads back to the kitchen empty handed. Plates, empty glasses and beer bottles piled up.

Lunch for $5 during the week (higher on weekends) includes all-you-can-eat soup & salad bar and 3 choices of entrees which are plain foods that will fill you up.
The desserts are amazing, though. This guy should be selling his desserts to the high-end restaurants in the area because they are home made deliciousness.

This is a small town mom & pop eatery, very large place & lots of variety on the menu, you walk in & are quickly seated, you can have breakfast until they close which is 2:00pm, I had the pancakes & biscuit & gravy, very good pancakes & large fluffy with orange juice, waitress was very attentive and bubbly, nothing was out of place and over all the food was good and very reasonably priced, the biscuit & gravy was ok,all in all I would recommend stopping by and giving it a try,was a nice find as most do not offer breakfast late in the day, hope to eat there again.

This is a good place to take your family while visiting the Mosquito Lagoon. It's a no frills quaint place to eat, but still has a local flare. My favorite part is their breakfast!

We are a family stye restaurant, owner owned and operated, that serves the freshest seafood available and our choice steaks and prime-rib are hand cut. We strive to offer quality with value.
We've eaten at Riptides three times in the past few weeks by ourselves and with friends. All the meals were well prepared with no complaints. Service was efficient and pleasant.
From prime rib to rock shrimp along with excellent catfish this restaurant does it right.
This is a non fancy restaurant generally used by locals and for good reason. They know a good thing. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Our restaurant is a fun, welcoming place to bring your family or a romantic dinner for two. We offer a full liquor bar, extensive menu that has something for everyone. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest ingredients from our seafood, hand cut steaks and our now famous homemade mac & cheese!!
Had their crab cakes which I think are awesome & very filling-2 large crab cakes. Not a big selection of sides tho-mostly potatoes of some sort. Chicken dumpling soup @ salad bar was delicious-big pieces of chicken. Salad bar ok-not very big & selection limited. Service very good & friendly.

We stopped here for lunch on our way through town. We had an excellent lunch, our server Phillip was great. Everyone's food was delicious and fresh. Loved the decor, and the bathrooms are super cute too!
